My wife is plain agnostic to it and I respect that.

I remember a pair of strappy silver platforms that belonged to my Mum that I used to wear when I was 3 or 4. Her shoes got more boring as she grew older, so I only really wore her heels during my pre-teenage years. I bought a really horrible pair of pumps from C&A when I was 15 and have been steadily improving my wardrobe ever since. No idea why I do it, but I'm glad that I do.

I am quite conscious of girly fashions. Regrettably there are no male heel fashions yet... so I try to follow the female ones. Right now that is for trousers cut long so that only a pointy toe and half an inch of heel can be seen. This is a challenge for a 6 foot bloke in 4" heels and involves extra long trousers.

I tend to wear heeled boots when out shopping and sometimes to work. The pumps and sandals only come out for special occasions.

45 or a UK 11 for my sins.

Same as you guys. I used to be a real scaredy-cat, then I went through the "cover story" phase. Now I buy what I want when I want and have fun chatting up the staff at the same time. Some assistants are interested, some frosty, but most are just wanting to make a sale.

This is a terrible time of year, because the shops are full of sale stuff. As always I've bought some size 8s that I may never wear... These are not my normal taste (I live in 4" block heeled knee boots) but demonstrate the rubbish one buys if the shoes are sexy enough and reduced to a tenner! I picked up a pair of 4" stilleto strappy sandals with three ultra-fine buckled straps over the toes, bridge and just below the ankle. Because of the buckles I can actually wear them well (I am an 11UK), but God knows when I'll ever wear them outside. They were from Faith, but I can't remember the style. What I went out shopping for were some very pointy ankle boots with a 3-4" stilleto heel that would have been far more practical. Why do we go mad in shops?
Full CD at school... am I nuts?

Sorry I'm late posting. Many congratulations SH on having a good laugh and finding an excuse to wear heels all day. I never had the guts to CD before sixth form, although I seized every chance thereafter. I have strong suspicion that if your folks haven't objected yet then they never will. Being a Dad myself now my observation is that they will want you to be happy, but will be concerned because they don't know why you are dressing as you do. Chatting about it would undoubtedly clear the air. To be honest your folks sound pretty cool to me.
