Karen Millen red corset dress, Pretty Polly sandal toe 10 denier tights, red Freelance 4" strappy sandals, shoulder length blonde hair held up with pins, silver jewellery Daunting, challenging to dance all evening, but a conversation starter with many girls!

Francis, we're interested and I want to encourage you. Other than saying "good on you" I have little to add though. Keep up the good work.

That cut out style is all over the catwalks at the moment. Stella McCartney even has vegan ones on display. Quite original

Micha, i LOVE those heels. I don't think it comes down to male/female, just whether they look right on you and you feel confident in them. A fraction of 1% of blokes could wear a David Beckham headband, but he gets away with it. If you look good and feel great then go for it. I'd love to wear a pair for a day.

No, the GAP!

I couldn't agree more. Wearing heels in public always involves attention whether one is male or female; noisy heels doubly so. The key factor is confidence. If one is confident one transfers the uncertainty as to whether the situation is "right" from the wearer to the watcher. And anyway, noisy heels are fun!

I guess my neighbours have realised I wear heels by now, after all I go to work in them a few times a week and wear them most week-ends. No-one has made an issue out of it.

Laurieheels and Sue - it must be the phase of the moon or something. I had an all day meeting today, so I wore my grey tailored trouser suit with a blouse and tie. The trousers are 36" inside leg, so even with 5" strappy sandals on, my heels are only just visible. Needless to say it is great fun to tease a little by crossing my legs and revealing the full heel height.

Personally I tend to wear seams with a "fancy" shoe that needs no distraction and fishnets with a plain court or boot to liven up the look.

I took my young kids to a huge stately home with woodland today. We scrambled on the type of large fallen tree that everyone must have as a kid. A mother and young daughter joined us. The mother was very well dressed and looked fabulous in full make-up, skimpy top and long hipster jeans that showed a little of the 4" blade heel on her (presumably knee) boots. Amazingly this glamour-puss scrambled around on the tree and even walked along the top in her high heels (I used to do gymnastics and I struggled). Lady, whoever you are I salute you!

I guess I buy 2-3 pairs a months at £20-£50 per pair. I've been doing this for the last 10 years or so, so I must have spent several thousand. Worth every penny.

Wedding today. 5" narrow heeled Freelance red strappy sandals peeping out below a beautiful lime green floor-length bias-cut sleeveless dress from Episode. No hose, no undies, nor bra for my new boobs, because the dress is too clingy to look good with anything underneath. Felt like a million dollars.

Smart skirt suits Floor length dresses Tailored trouser suits with heels just showing I guess I like the "classic" look.

The "MoneyPenny" look: Hair now auburn, held tightly in place by long clip up from nape of neck; pale make-up; white high-collared tight blouse (I've recently had my boobs enhanced and I am keen to ensure that they are noticed!); knee-length black pencil skirt by Jigsaw ( a dream); black 15 denier stockings; my smartest pair of classic black stiletto pumps with a 4" heel.

Hi Vicky and Laurie - looks like only the three of us are posting. I went to the Manchester Aquatic Centre today to see the swimming. Great venue, but too many smug Aussies! Very tight Miss Sixty pale denim capri pants with a low slung tan tassle belt, linen sleeveless blouse with a collar, blonde hair in short pigtail plaits, 5" tan wedge mules from Faith, light make-up and a small Union Jack painted on each cheek.

Part of the excitement of dressing in a particular way is to selectively draw attention to the features you want to emphasise. In this respect teasing is always better than a brazen display. A great pair of heels under a pair of trousers often attracts the second or third glance (how high are they?) rather than the single stare one gets when pairing heels with a skirt.

Blonde bob with the fringe held just to one side by a silver barrette (sp?). Medium fake tan, plum lips, silver stud earrings, silver pendant necklace, severe cotton Oxford shirt with the sleeves rolled up and 3 buttons undone, black pinstripe fitted trousers cut 2" shorter than I normally wear so that the hem comes down to my ankle only. Ultra pointy black fake snakeskin leather ankle boots with a 4 1/2" heel.

House party tonight. Hair in pigtails, shimmering "healthy" make-up, pale fake tan, pink sleeveless polo shirt that I have taken a pair of scissors to and cut to just above the navel, Miss Sixty mid denim tight jeans cut to the ankle, pink 5" stilleto courts.
-
Yeah, I'm also steadily climbing up the heel height ranks. 3" used to be the norm, but now I'm a regular 4" and 5 1/2" can feel comfortable. The sky's the limit!

Not very sexy, but a few years ago in one of his whimsical moments Paul Merton asked whether one could have f*ck me socks...
