The highly irritating habit of newsreaders to use the anacronym for a company or institution, for example say:- ANC and then immediately follow that by saying African National Congress, I see this as needless dumbing down, if you are interested enough to listen to broadcast news the you most probably going to have a good understanding of what the various anacronyms used stand for without having them explained to you like you are a child, the should use just one method or the other

roniheels is ancient seafaring mariner who knows the true location of Davey Jones locker and he is many centuries old making him very wise and a font of knowledge and accounts for longing to wear pirate boots.

I think that they are very stylish shoes and would be suitable for many occasions apart from perhaps work although if your jeans covered the padlock detail then they would be suitable for all occasions

roniheels patented the concept of high heel shoes and boots that you could adjust the height of by a remote control which you kept in your pocket one of the key uses cited was to enable the wearer a better view at football games by allowing the user to raise themselves by at least 3ft 2 1/4 inches

Another thing that really "grinds my gears" is when someone insists on standing two micros behind me peering over my shoulder while I am working on their motor car, firstly they block the light making the whole area dark, secondly they invariably are in the way when you need to fetch more tools and worst of all those who think they can help by poking their hands into the work space in a so called bid to "help"...if I needed help I would ask....just step away and leave me alone to do the job which I am perfectly capable of doing.
The last resort I have found after asking politely for them to move away is to just wander off and leave the job until they get the hint that it is not a spectator sport watching me work.
Note to Puffer you really did make me laugh out loud as you too have encounter the general public at its daftest:smile:

Surely, this is some kind of joak? Isn't it?
Hi Bubba136
No I promise you this is not a joke, I would not make something like this up, the lady in question was very elderly and did not appear to be in full control of her motor vehicle some of this could be deduced by the fact that she parked in the middle of the yard causing an obstruction when she could, if well sighted parked outside of my workshop....it really makes me worry that she could be coming the other way when I am out and about driving...Scary!!!

People who should clearly not be driving cars on the highway.
I had a customer in today who asked a staff member to check her tyre pressures as she could not "see" the gauge....she then stated that she was driving herself to hospital for an eye operation....Keep death off the roads!!
To say her driving skills were frightening would be putting it mildly.
