  1. A new pair of boots here also....an impulse buy at the local goodwill, paid more than I should have, but the boots are prectically new with little to no wear at all.......they are sz 11 black suede knee high made by Gianni Bini with a 1/4 inch platform...snug at the top of the leg due to not having an expandible gusset (which I prefer)........may get some use out of them this winter or may sell them......a wait, wear, and see thing........will post some pics at a later date.

  2. Found a pair of these at the local goodwill in sz 11......impulse buy and paid more than I should have.....they are rock steady and feel good but I don't see myself getting much use out of them.......so........they will probably go up for sale later........they are Mossimo wedge heel sandals.post-3294-0-28473300-1404142747_thumb.jppost-3294-0-79055700-1404142772_thumb.jp

  3. at last spring has arrived and this being the long weekend i am starting today!  i'm going to visit my friend (the xmas party gal) and we are going to see a few things starting around 6 p.m. tonight.  i look forward to that.

actually this will be the second outing of the year as i did go out on April 5th to see a movie with a friend and wore my sexy Cupid boots!  we got to the movie theatre and i was a bit alarmed at how many teenage girls are snapping pictures with their phones.  one came up behind me and snapped a picture of me and i have to admit it kind of gives me the creeps wondering where that might be going.

anyway.  where i'm going tonight there will be no teenaged girls but rather women!  and so: i am wearing my sexy skin tight skinny jeans and my black 7.5 inch heel boots!  a fun combination and i know i'll have a good time with it.

i'll let you know how it goes when i get back!

we all will be eagerly awaiting the description of your evening and hopefully some pics of it also!!!!

  4. Great idea, TBG, and let us know how the new heels hold up over time.

By the way, did you buy those pumps first before you pried the heels off?  :penitent:

    Just kidding! LOL

    Steve

looks like you did a good job.....they sell black dye everyday if you don't like the orange!!!!!

  5. Got the boots, so pretty quick considering they had to go through customs/etc. You might want to adjust the text from the written portion of the ebay description to match the "exact heel height" part. Although at 4.5" the heels are easy to walk in and will probably get more use then a 5.5" might have. The footbed shape seems to fit well, and the only issue I seem to have is where the leather of the toe area meets the leather of the side of the foot. The seam seems to hit a spot on my little toe, but that might just be my feet, and I am curious if it sorts itself out in time.

Not unhappy at this time, am looking forward to getting use out these :)

post pics of the boots please kind sir.......as all of us here would like to see what you purchased and how you look wearing them!

  6. mlroseplant.......your boots look good!!!!! do like I did and preserve the soles by gluing a thin piece of textured(non slip) rubber  to the soles.....this was actually an idea from my shoe repairman so I have no idea where he got the rubber sheeting.......it serves the purpose very well and I have had no problems with the boots walking(slipping) or otherwise........just an idea for you......this was done on the boots pictured in my avatar and more detailed pics can be found at motorcowboy.com........rubber sheeting on soles was originally smooth.

  7. The overboots are not a bad idea at all....they appear to be constructed well and are easy to get in and out of. I would like to see them offered in a thigh/crotch high length and that way you have full leg protection in nasty weather when wearing shorter(above the knee) outfits. Rockpup.....where did you purchase your high heel lace up Hunter boots from as I am interested in purchasing a pair myself....Thanks.

  8. If you are insane, then I'm absolutely MAD. It's even hotter here in Texas, and I just bought a pair of THIGHBOOTS. (5 inch stiletto heel, no platform)

What stores are still selling boots at this time of the year????? Where I reside,we don't usually start to see boots for sale until late august to mid september......still warm weather and fall/winter styles just starting to show up on the shelves.....Belk in the mall usually has a good selection in fall/winter but the time to buy is in january or february when the prices start to drop.
  9. Stopped and checked out a mall that I pass regularly when I am on the road.....inside there is a Traffic shoe store and they had boots and shoes on a rack at the back of the store for $10.....(afterseason close out merchandise).....on the rack was a pair of grey overknee boots with 4 inch heels.....I inspected the boots and found that they were a ladies sz 10.....this was too good of a deal to pass up so $10.55 cents later, I had added another pair of boots to my collection.....here are some pics

  10. Highheelboot,I have purchasd boots from Jean Gaborit(the tobacco brown ones in my pics) and are very pleased with them.......the ones in my avatar pic came from Motorcowboy(motorcowboy.com)....they are made of a thicker leather, lined and have a tall wide heel(compared to spikes or stilettos),slight platform under the toes and easy to walk in,my other pair of crotch high boots came from a seller on ebay.....I paid $199 plus shipping for them years ago......I still see this style of boot being sold but I think the price has gone up $100....these are spike heeled and unlined....all my boots are made of one piece of leather (per side) from the foot to the crotch.......I hate seams below the knee to lengthen the boots as I think it detracts from their appearence.......GOOD LUCK in your quest!!!!!!!

  11. just keep telling yourself that as your get pommelled by a group of guys that think their baggy pants look good and did not like the fact that you told them your heels look better.

yep, almost impossible to reason with uneducated inbred neanderthals as violence is the only thing that they understand....that is why you show them the glock with the extended clip as they approach you.
  12. Everybody needs to remember that it was MEN that wore the heels to begin with(in the days of King Louis, the sun king) as it made them look taller and more important......so men would be returning to what was originally theirs in the 1st place(if you do not believe me,do the research your self) 2nd:MEN were the ones that originally wore thigh/crotch high boots to protect their legs while riding horses(pants had not been invented yet)and the high heel was invented as an aid in keeping their feet in the stirrups while riding.....Joan of Arc was(supposedly) the 1st lady to have worn armor and thigh/crotch high boots.....then somewhere along the line, the ladies discovered that higher heels made their feet look smaller and it was taken over by them to complete their fashion statements.....men abandoned excessively tall boots after pants were invented and high heels for men became impractical except for dressy/formal occasions......as men turned away from dressing like peacocks, the heels got lower for them also......AND in keeping in line with the topic.......if THEY can wear wire (spirals)wrapped around their necks in Asia and Africa .....we can wear heels where ever we are in the rest of the world!

  13. I stumbled on these somewhere on line the other night......high heel swim fins for the scuba diver that wants to be in style......I am a diver myself and I don't see how these could be practical but appanently there is a market for them.......enjoy the pic!post-3294-0-32190800-1359507580_thumb.jppost-3294-0-32190800-1359507580_thumb.jp
