Somebody must have liked them as they are sold out in all but one size on Net-a-porter.  I did contact several of the AliExpress vendors and they confirmed the boots were not available in a 12/13.

    Speechless...

Out of curiosity, where did you find them?  All I could find with that description were fishing waders. :penitent:

  2. looks good.....for $10, you cannot beat that deal!!!!   I check thrift stores all the time, hard to find boots in ladies sz 11 but when I do I usually buy them.....I would so much like to find some knee high( or taller) hard sole platform boots with big block heels like was worn in the 70s.

Great image.  Kicked back and relaxing in great looking boots.

nice boots!!!! they look similar to a pair of Cleopatra-Brooke boots that I have in black vinyl(or whatever the material is). I do like the heels better on yours than mine......here's a pic of them

  4. Here's some pics of one of the best pair of boots that I have ever owned..... I bought them used from a 2nd hand shoe store in the early 80's and I wore them whenever I could until they finally fell apart and there was no fixing them.....I would like to find a pair of them still around today or a boot that is similar in style and construction in a ladies sz 11 or 12......mine were a  sz 10 and I have grown some over the years..... Enjoy the pics

  5. here's an idea for you.....find you some wide plastic tie straps that are as long(or longer) as the boots are tall......cut off the end that you poke the strap through to secure it.....align the strap with the back seam on the inside of the boot and secure it  so it will stay in place, then cover it with a piece of material as long as the strap is and 2-3x wide and sew it in place, you will have the center back seam and 2 seams on either side for  professional look and the boot will appear to have been made that way.If you have enough room in the boot, the strap can extend all the way down past the inner heel counter to the insole....secure the strap to the counter, then cut 2 thin pieces of leather to put on either side of the strap, then cut 1 piece of thin leather to cover up the strap and small pieces on either side by 3/4 inch....this covers the strap and keeps it from digging into your heel when you wear the boots......what I am describing is like a stay in a corset that will assist in holding the fabric up,not letting it sag and still be flexible...strap on inner heel counter can also be covered up with a peel and stick heel cushion.........just an idea for you.

Thanks for your comment! They are announced at 5 inch heel height ( in fact its 5.3 inch in 42EU size) and 1.25 inch platform.

i think your give me a good advice but i'm not ready to wear them out as its already difficult for me to wear heels in public with wedges sneakers... So i let you imagine with high platform booties !!

I understand.......cover them up with a pair of wide leg women's jeans that are long enough to cover all bit 1/2 inch of heel or find them long enough to slightly drag on the ground........or..........find a pair of extra wide bell bottom jeans like men wore in the late 60's and early 70's,back when MEN wore platform shoes and boots.......they are for sale on e-bay every day........I cover up the boots shown in my avatar with a pair of jeans that are about 3-4 inches too long for me when I am wearing flat shoes/boots.......these cover the heel and drag on the ground in the rear but leave the toe portion of the boot exposed in the front......it works for me and should work for you.

Hi everybody! I've just receive my new Steve madden joanie booties! Clearly too high (13,5cm heels and 3,5cm platform) for wearing them in public but love the look of them. But they are really confortable to wear and walk! Only thing is the sole slick which made them a bit slippery on smooth floor!

Nice pair of boots that you have there!!!! How high are they????  There is only one way to deal with a slick sole on new boots and that is to were them while walking on an asphalt or rough concrete surface....several problems will be solved at the same time while doing this.....you will get used to the boots, the soles will no longer be slick, and you will find the fit problems if any.

  8. Hello, has anyone got any ideas where I can get a pair block heel ankle boots about 2 to 3 inches but made as a pair of mens boots? I am in the uk but I guess it would be an online purchase, thanks.

Should I have said "where to buy mens high heel boots" !

try the website of motorcowboy.com         they made the boots in my avatar pic and I am well pleased.

  9. I went out this morning to get some groceries I really didn't need.  I went to Kroger's wearing a blue T-shirt, a blue suit (jacket and skirt), hose, black leather thigh boots with 5¼" stilettos, and shoulder length black leather opera gloves.  This skit (as well as the pink one) are skin tight so the hose were very helpful in getting it on and without wrinkles or lumps.

    attachicon.gifGEDC0377.jpg

I've poster before that the gloves push my comfort zone a bit and I normally don't wear them exposed but this is a short sleeved jacket and I was wearing my thigh boots (and they do put me in my comfort zone) so I tried them on and kind of liked the look.  Other than being way over dresses for early morning grocery shopping, I liked the look.

I drove to Kroger's, parked, took a deep breath, got out of the car, pulled my boots up, straightened the skirt, and smoothed my gloves up my arms.  I got a small cart and headed into the store.  To my surprise folks generally ignored me.  I gave and received a friendly nod from some of the clerks.  However, I walked passed one guy (vendor, not a store clerk) and overheard the word Halloween when I was well passed.

When I got to my favorite checkout clerk, she saw me in line, raised her eyebrows and said, "You look nice",  She was waiting on another customer at the time who looked back to see what she was talking about.  Normally the protocol is "give your full attention to your current customer" so her reaction was exceptional.  When it was my turn she repeated "Oh you look nice today...I've never seen gloves that go up that high...They'd make my arms too warm... You really do look nice".  (This is why she is my favorite clerk.)  I also noticed there were at least four bagging clerks hanging around.

I told her it was cool enough outside that the gloves were comfortable and asked her if they were too much.  She said, "Oh no, they look great".  As I walked away from the register she turned and saw the full outfit including my boots.  Her eyebrows went up again and she nodded "Very nice".

I don't know what the bagging clerks thought of her reaction, but I thought it was great.

I headed back out to the car and home.

I've mentioned before that confidence comes from liking what you see in a mirror but it's more than that; I comes from being able to see yourself in your own mind.  I haven't been able to see myself wearing those gloves and I'll admit I'm still trying to wrap my head around the look.  The one overly positive response is encouraging.  I think I would have gotten the negative one regardless of what I was wearing with my boots.

It may be too late in the season to start wearing those gloves,  They are warm and if my arms perspire at all in the gloves they are almost impossible to get off.  One option is to wear them over a long sleeved top (probably without the jacket).  I'll have to give that some thought.

    Ideas/opinions are welcome.

Well TBG I see you went for the look that I suggested......now if you could find a wide brimmed hat in the same shade of light blue as your suit(or black) and a good looking pair of sunglasses your look would be complete. Keep up the habit of wearing what you want and to hell with what anybody thinks!!!

  10. I'm still trying to get over having worn that pink outfit.  Normally when I get home from an outing I'm tired from just staying as focused as I try to be.  Doing that takes a lot of unconscious effort.  When I got home from the pink outing I was exhausted.

I live on a hill several hundred feet above the Ohio river and although the river was above flood stage there was no chance of it reaching me and being on a hill I have pretty good drainage.  The only danger is if the sewer system can't handle the volume, but I've been high and dry.

I pulled on a skirt, leggings and flats attachicon.gifGEDC0375.jpg

and walked down to the river for a normal level picture attachicon.gifGEDC0373.jpg

to contrast it with the flood level picture. attachicon.gifGEDC0326.jpg

You can see the river level markings on both bridges. (Sorry the current picture was right into the sun.)

I did try on my new blue suit but I haven't worn it for an outing.

    attachicon.gifGEDC0371.jpg  attachicon.gifGEDC0372.jpg

The outfit looks good with the boots, would have looked even better if you had worn your long gloves and a wide brimmed hat(preferably lt blue or black with it!!!!

  11. While doing my weekly check of the area thrift stores(Goodwill and others) I found a pair of sz 14 Pleaser Seduce 3010 thigh high boots in black vinyl/urethane.....they are in "as new" condition with hardly any wrinkles in the vinyl and no wear on the soles and heels......these are way too big for me, but for $49.95 plus tax I am going back tomorrow morn and buy them anyway, they should still be there. As they are too big for me, I am buying them to pass them along to a boot enthusiast that has a hard time finding their size......all that I require for this is $20 over my total cost((to cover fuel expenses) and I can ship them in a $5 box through USPS anywhere in the U.S. (I will consider overseas, but will have to be compensated for postage). Seriously interested parties should send me a PM letting me know your interested and provided I pick them up tomorrow, we will proceed from that point in getting them in your possession.......as you can see, I DO NOT want to make a profit here.....I just want to pass them on to somebody that can use them........THANKS........crotchhiguy       NOTE: this was not posted in the for sale section because of now, I do not have the aforementioned boots in my possession.......I am just calling all boot enthusiasts attention to this as sz 14 ladies boots can be very hard to find...THANKS!

  12. Once again, luck must be with me as I found a like new pair of Cleopatra......Brooke over the knee boots in a sz 11 at a local Goodwill thrift store in like new condition.......I knew that these were not cheap when new and I researched them after returning home........found them on-line at a low of $93 and a high of $130 plus shipping......they fit very well, and are very stable, not wobbly along with being easy to walk in........I got an incredible deal on them......attached is an online pic of them as it  is a lot of trouble right now to take a pic of my actual boots and post it........my boots are in excellent shape with very little signs of wear.......these will be keepers!!!!    Comments are welcome.post-3294-0-08847500-1413606862_thumb.jp Click on the pic to see a larger pic of the boots.

  13. Here's a few pics of some red pleasers brand, model susie sz 12 boots that I found at an adult lingerie and "toy" shop a few weeks ago....they had been priced reduced several times and still hadn't sold......I guess no ladies around with sz 12 feet........ I really like the way that  the boots fit snugly on the leg but the heel is just a little too much for me and will probably end up putting these up for sale......sorry about the quality of the pics, cell phone cams are a hit and miss thing sometimes.Comments about the boots are welcome!
