Beside that I love the boots you would like to make. I know where the pictures came from. The boots were part of the Gemini Klein collection if I rememer correct.I am also not into platforms but into vintage high heel boots with baby doll toes.

This lady has managed to make her own shoes and boots too, some altered and some made from scratch. And beyond that she is also self taught. She shows us that it is possible - not easy but possible. Thank you Suzanne!

Today there are not many well known shoe designers who can actually make shoes as did André Perugia, Salvatore Ferragamo etc. (meaning the persons, not the brands).

Two pairs of vintage 1930s heels made in Belgium for your pleasure. I am absolutely amazed by the stitching and cut out details.

I was allowed to stay right ahead in a steam loco while driving some years ago, it was great! Since I have the crazy idea of pictures of me (or who ever) shoveling coals while loco driving, huffing and puffing, me all black from the coal dust, like the man there was, and you can imagine the shoes I´d wear -prefered a bright colour getting more and more black, yeah.

we all have our dreams, right .

I bet with a little time this can be arranged...well, at least on a narrow gauge steam engine...

How about a vintage style high heel shooting in the luxury cabin of a sleeping car of the Venice Simplon Orient Express? Would you decline? Obviously not in ballet boots though...

I don't like to see stickers either. It ruins not only the look of the heels. There are several things you can do (without damaging the sole or a finger nail) to get them off. If it is not a leather sole you can use olive oil or any other oil for some stickers to solve the adhesive. Just be careful with solvents. There are some other methods to get it off and success refers to the kind of sticker/ahesive you have. At least a little bit remaining adhesive is better (and maybe not noticed) than the whole sticker. Be careful but try to get them of. Just my opinion.

This is defiantely a zippered boot, looks like the right one (zipper on the opposite side). Also looks as they are the Leatherworks style K5B07.

I guess there were only few ladies back then wearing such high (about 10cm) heels. Some showed their love for high heeled shoes and boots in the magazine London Life which I have some issues of. At least also some evening shoes had that high heels back then (shown here http://www.hhplace.org/vintage_fashions/19363-1930s.html#post274732).

I can definately "speak" for the heels and boots I show because I own them.

The boots above were stuffed with newspaper from 1969 when I got them. So I guess they were not worn since then but they are definately older. The leather tongue also showed a criscross pattern. That means they were oviously worn with fishnet stockings. The soles show no outdoor wear but the upper leather on the foot shows some wear. All this also leads me to the suggestion that these boots have been worn by a dominant lady whether professional or not.

But it seems that no one can provide more information about the possible maker of these boots.

a dream of mine is still to have a that style perfect-fit knee high boot with such a heel for everyday wear... I believe it would be very practical, and oh-my- so beautiful .

Many of these early Retro Fetish heels come from France.....they were decades ahead of the game as far as 'Erotica' is concerned.

The ones shown in my post above are from I. Miller Deluxe Shoes, USA. I also have some vintage London Life magazines from the late 20s to early 40s with nice pictures (bad print quality though). At least two or three shoemakers located in London offered very high heeled shoes and boots back then. The following advertisements are scanned from these vintage magazines:

But these are no ballet heels in my opinion but just to high heels and only a fetish object. Same style was already shown in John Willie's Bizarre. So Louboutin only warmed up an old "style".

I will post a picture if I can find it.

I also can double what jo said about wrong advertised heel heights.

Can it be that Louboutin did some 8 inch heels but with 2 or 3 inch platform?
