  1. They are nice and I have similar pairs that I with jeans and shirt. I used to wear them to work with black trousers and a shirt, in my previous job. But unfortunately my current job it wouldn't go down well. The people here are stuck in the past.

Only last year did I get appointments etc put on the email calendar. Appointments used to be handwritten on paper and kept in an A3 folder.

  2. Welcome. What styles do you like.? You may find people who live nearby who would like to meet up. Read the threads and gain the courage from others experiences.

Shoppiing for shoes is easy.  Just go in and find some you like. Try them on and if they fit well buy them. If you aren't that brave just buy them and try them on at home. You can return them if they don't fit as long as they are not marked, scuffed etc.

Most sale people have seen men buying/trying on women's shoes.

  3. Welcome. Have you tried any heels on? It's quite easy to go into a store and buy a pair of heels. Keep the receipt. Take them home and try them on (if you don't want to try them on in the store). If they don't fit take them back for an exchange in a different size or a refund.

What size are you? It will help other USA members to advice on what stores to buy from and also what your female shoe size is.

  4. I have the So Kate 120 in a size 40 and the heel measures 5" = 12.5cm = 125mm. I had thought the 120 was the heel height in mm's.

I find my So Kate's wider than my Pigalle's. I expect the rounder toe styles would be more comfortable due the toes not being squashed compared to the pointed toe styles eg Fifi, Dorissima or Simple pump are round toe.

Springtime = Sandaltime, and I love it.  I have been looking at these ankle strap wedgies form Aerosoles called "Yeterday."  Aerosoles gives its shoes strange names.  I have long been fan of Aerosoles shoes, they look very nice, are comfortable and they come in sizes up to a 12.

Can't wait to get my pair and get out in the warmer spring time weather.  Have fun....   sf   56c489550f8e7_YETERDAY445AV1508PX.jpg.6e

I have a pair almost identical to those, but in black. They should be comfortable. Enjoy them when you get them.

  6. They are nice for a first pair. my first pair were 4" stiletto courts/pumps in black leather. You may broaden the style you like, like I and many others have.

i bought quite a few pairs of stilettos. Then brought thicker heeled boots as they are less obvious when wearing heels in  public.

  7. Look for wider wedges (most wedges are narrow at the back of the shoe/boot. Rubber sole are quieter if you don't want people to hear the noise of the heels).

if anyone asks you can tell them the truth. They help allieviate your back problem/pain.

  8. Try to limit what pairs you buy. Think of what you have in your collection and buy other styles you like, different heel heights, heel styles. If you have pairs that are uncomfortable sell or donate them to charity to make space for new pairs.
