I like Steve B was in collage in the mid 70's and it was a agriculture collage and the girls ether wore cowboy boots or tennis shoes and when it came time for social events it was ether boots or platforms. OH to be 20 again.

To answer the question YES it was HHP that helped me see that I really had noting to fear and even though I have loved heels for as long as I can remember it was not until I joined HHP that I started wear heels in public. So thanks to all members who lead the way and helped me see that I can do this and thanks to the HHP webmasters for keeping this great site up and going.

I think that if you guys are allowed to dominate politics, war, sport and big business then it's only fair that you should be condemned to a lifetime of boring shoes. You can't expect to have everything.

Besides beautifully decorated candy feet are practical for none of the above.

The company I work for our COO is a lady that is a take charge person when we had the state of business meetings a couple months back and it was my first time to meet her as our corperate offices are in Michigan and I am in New Mexico, anyway at this meeting she was dressed in a pencil skirt blouse and a blazer with 5" Louboutins shoes I was told that she dresses this way every day excpet on Fridays when she is in jeans because she rides her Harley to work. My point is more and more women are excutives in major companies women have become a force in politics and they still wear their heels, so why can't men do the same?

I too wear only pants and heels and have never tried wearing a skirt, someday maybe but for now just heels. One step at a time.

I saw in the Zappos blog where the CEO did a picture shoot and they did one shoot where he wore a pair of silver platform thigh boots. He tried to make light of it but he sure seemed at ease wearing them.

I have a pair of boots very simular to the HD Ella with a 3.5" heel that I wear when we go rideing and no one has commented about the heel.

You are right and as Mister Colt was given credit for "God created man, Sam Colt made them equal." In todays world not only do we have to worry about some nut job terrorest, but out here we have to watch out for drug gangs anymore you have to carry for self protection.
