BeigeBoots: Thanks for the link I hadn't come across that site. It's not cheap, but I like the way you can customise every style for colour, fabric and heel height. How's the quality/service? Spiker.

My office is pretty casual so any of those would be acceptable. In fact there are a couple of women who always wear good shoes, I've complimented them both briefly but haven't managed to strike up a conversation.

One lady has started wearing some concealed platforms, similar to these but in smooth black patent, and in fact the other day we had a lady from Hewlett Packard come to see us (we're their customer) and she was wearing some incredible shoes. They were similar to these but slightly shorter on the leg.

Some days I have difficulty concentrating...

I guess both if I'm honest. Probably the short shorts are my favourite followed by the longer shorts, but anything that lets you see a bit of leg and a great pair of boots is fine by me I do love the capri pants to, but they work better with court shoes IMO. Spiker.

I would have to say yes, I think your outfit works very well. Very smart and stylish. I personally like the combination of the heels, skirt and suit. Spiker.

Boots and a skirt is definitely the best combination, although I do like the boots and shorts combination that was fashionable last year too. On the subject of boots: BeigeBoots, where did you get the boots in your avatar? They're gorgeous! Spiker.

Thanks again for your help. I can't find any dyes that say they're water based, do you have any brands you can recommend? Is it worth me trying the dye I've got, or will that damage the shoes? Regards, Spiker.

shoerepairer: Thanks for this thread, you've convinced me to give this a try. I've been looking for some beige shoes for a while, and haven't been able to find any I like. So, hopefully I've bought / orderered everything I need: I've ordered some white leather shoes from devab, and some Fiebling's beige shoe dye from eBay. I then went into my local Timpsons and bought some beige shoe polish and a brush. I have some meths already as I have a camping stove that runs on it. I there anything I've forgotten? Plus are there any tips you can give me? I'm a bit nervous about trashing a brand new pair of shoes! Thanks very much. Spiker.

Exactly - mainly the swinging arms are totally ridiculous!...

I think the reason is that the shoes are cheap and fit horribly so he's in a lot of pain. The swinging arms would then be him trying to shift his weight around to alleviate the pain.

If I'm wearing stiletto heeled boots it's hose, other heel types like cowboy/cowgirl would be socks. I just don't feel "rite" wearing socks with stilettos.

They tell me that It will be a year or more before I fully recover from my back surgery and there may be a possibility that I may never wear heels again, although I'm hoping that I can at least try again later at home. I may have to wear my leg brace the rest of my life. Time will tell.

You're letting your imagination run wild... Take a look a some 6 inch heels at elite-heels for example, and then look at the last pic you posted. I rest my case.

Quite simply: I was there, you were not.

I have several pairs of six inch heels so I know perfectly well what they look like.

Are you kidding? Those are nowhere near 6 inches high.

I thought that when I looked at the pictures, but in the flesh, I promise you they were. I think it's where the picture goes blurry, it loses the thinnest part of the heel.
