Probably the ones you see in my avatar pic. BUT I am also considering the idea of wearing them with some leggings, instead of jeans...

To quote Jimmy Fallon:
"Ew!"

yes agree, anything goes, wear whatever you like. Give your wife a big thank you from me, we need more women like her to help change attitudes.
Well, unfortunately she isn't THAT supportive of my heeling, but she said if there's any time I can get away with it, this is the one.

Heading to a Lady Gaga concert in a couple months. The wife is letting me wear whatever I want, including heels (YAY!). I'm thinking of a combined male/female (androgynous?) look - maybe some tighter mens Lucky brand jeans, with a mens black button down shirt. Black suede boots with either a 3 or 4 inch stiletto-ish heel (I have both - but thinking the 3 inch would be safer, being that there's going to be a lot of walking from the parking lot into the arena. Full eye make up, like I wear when I play gigs.
Any other suggestions?

I do not agree at all. I personally coordinate heels with men's clothing, with a little eye make up, to create a very Rockstar-androgynous look. And it looks really good, too...

For me, I'd say I'm a 2 and 1/2... I have worn high heeled boots, under my jeans, to gigs and to casinos in Atlantic City. My confidence is slowly building, but fear is definitely still a factor.

No black hose with white shoes. In my opinion, it just doesn't work.

Just got these from Lane Bryant today. I bought them in-store. The heel is a little higher and thinner than I'm used to, but they are totally rockstar, in my opinion. My wife wants a pair, too. I like them so much, I chose them for my avatar image...
I also left an online review, which clearly states I am a guy. They say it takes 48 hours for the review to appear online. It'll be interesting to see if they post it or edit it...

Yeah I gotta say, earlier this year when I took the plunge and went to Avenue to get some boots, the SA was quite helpful. She said that lots of guys come here to buy boots and shoes. She even said all the ones I tried on looked good on me. Granted, that's what they're SUPPOSED to say, but hey, it made me feel good nonetheless. I walked out of the store with 4 pairs.

Kilty,
It sounds like you need to take some time off to re-discover who you are. When one door closes, another opens. Stay optimistic, stay positive, and stay strong. You have to do what is best for you. No shoe or piece of clothing is ever worth losing your wife or your job over. But if you think you may be transgendered, and are considering to make the transition, that is a whole other ballgame. Listen to BOTH your heart and your mind, but talk to someone, too - a best friend, a close family member, whoever you can trust and can maintain an open-mind. Good luck to you...

Hey Jeff, FYI, the Payless in the Deptford Mall has some size 13's in store, if interested...

Yeah I would go with a pencil liner first for practice, then move up to the liquid. I've been wearing liner occasionally for a couple years and I still struggle!

I'm trying to stretch these out so I can wear them for a gig tomorrow...they fit fine as is, but being that I will be on stage for a while, I put an insole in them for some extra arch support, and now they are tight!

Also, just ordered these from Zappos...

Dude, I grew up in Lindenwold!Lindenwold, NJ. I am often up for a stroll around an AC Casino, or South Street in Philly

I love heels with ankle straps, and I like skinny jeans too, but (apart from cropped jeans) I can't think of how the two go together. Has anyone made this combination work for them, or are they just not compatible?
I think ankle strap heels look best with a sleek pencil skirt or a dress. Can't see them with skinny jeans.

Thanks Rockbass19 Those are from Dinsko. Dinsko is shoe shop chain found in Finland, Sweden and Norway. I don't know if they have shops anywhere else.
Here online link: http://www.putfeetfi...kkurit/p/279825
They run size up to EUR42 which is already sold out in every store I know Finnish women are know to have big feet, but I suspect that biggest size is not bought out by women only.
I've worn those already out and about for several days, great shoes.
Unfortunately, I would be a EUR45...I am a US13...

A while ago I bought some fake leather, knee-high 3.5 inch chunky high heel biker-like boots off of e-bay. When I tried them on, I discovered the calf circumference was way too big on these things, so being that I didn't spend a fortune on them I decided to try to cut them down and make them more of a calf/ankle boot. After I made the cuts, I tried sewing/seaming them to create a finished edge on the top, but was not successful. My sewing machine could not handle the thicker material.
Being that I want to wear them to the M3 Rock Festival this weekend (the story of that experience will come next week), I decided to let someone fix them for me.
So, I took them to a dry cleaner/alteration place near my house. I had never been there before, but I just moved to this area a couple months ago. When I walked in I was greeted by a chinese woman who was the owner. I showed her the boots and explained what I wanted done. Her husband then arrived from the back and got involved with the conversation. Everything was going fine, and I thought it wasn't even going to be addressed, but then she asked if the boots were for my wife. Pretending like I didn't hear her, I asked her to repeat the question. She again asked "are these for your wife?"
Maybe in the past, I would have lied and said "yes - they are for my wife." But not now. Not today. I've come too far. I decided not to hide it...
I smiled, looked her straight in the eye, and said they were mine, like it was no big deal. I kinda covered by saying I was a musician in a band (which I am), but stated that I do enjoy wearing them. She and her husband showed no ill reaction and actually asked me to put them on so they could see (and measure where they were going to do the seam). I was just wearing a pair of regular jeans, but I did as they asked and they actually gave me "ahhh's" of approval, and said they looked good.
It may have been a small one, but I consider it a victory, nonetheless...
I'm picking up the boots on Thursday night and will post a picture of them with my follow up story from the M3 festival.
Wish me luck!
