  1. The simple answer to this question is “no”.  The number of men who wear heels will NEVER outnumber the number of women who wear them.

The reason why the men’s forum is more active is because we men are seeking support and friendship from others who share our interest in heels - there’s not many of us, so it’s certainly nice to know there are others out there, and we can still maintain an element of anonymity if we desire it.

  2. I get pedicures and I always get gels done with a clearcoat.  I've always wanted to try getting them done in black or blue but haven't had the courage, especially in the summer when I wear flip-flops often (and because I have very judgmental in-laws).

No one has ever noticed my toes with the clear gels - they just look clean and well-taken care of.

  3. These boots are all from Avenue.  They have never been worn outside, are like new in condition, and are from a smoke-free home.  $40 US each pair, plus shipping.  Paypal only.  I'll ship anywhere in the world, but buyer pays all shipping costs.  There are 3 pairs, each with two pictures to show their detail.

Wow what a great loss congrats! For inexpensive and stylish wear i like H&M and Old Navy, you can get some pretty andro looking styles on both sides of their stores. Also check out Buckle if you have that in the area (or online)

    I love Buckle!

I can't help you on the clothing stores but losing 86 pounds is quite an accomplishment.  I'll bet you wife and daughter are (surprised? and) pleased with your new look.  It is also a great excuse to update/replace your wardrobe.  I would be interested in how you managed that weight loss.

I saw a dietician, counted calories, ate better foods, started exercising (racquetball!) and also had a surgical procedure called a sleeve gastrectomy, where the surgeon removed about 2/3 of my stomach and made a smaller one.  It's a great tool that ensures that I eat smaller portions.  My before and after pics are amazing, and my life has truly changed for the better.  I lost 22 pounds of that weight on my own before having the surgery, and the rest since.

  6. I have lost 86 pounds so far this year, and I have taken more of an interest in fashion, since I no longer need to shop in big'n tall type stores.

I seem to be favoring androgynous styles, and I think I could pull them off well.  Are there any andro-type clothing websites that you guys recommend?

  7. Who has seen the new commercial for AXE products?  For those that may not know, or may not have themn in your country, Axe products are body washes, care products, etc, for men.  The commercial is on the first page of their website:

    www.axe.us.com

The new commercial has a guy in heels around the :17 mark...

  8. Yesterday, Mrs. Rockbass and I went out to celebrate her birthday, along with our 5 year old daughter.

She had just come home from a job interview and looked very nice and was wearing her calf-boots with one-inch block heels with her outfit.  She did not want to change her clothes, so I figured I would dress a little nicer being that it was her birthday.

So, I put on a black button-down collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up to just below the elbow, along with a pair of blue Rock Revival jeans.

I recently purchased the Brash Punch Lug boots from Payless and figured they would go great with my outfit, however, in the past my wife has said she did not want to be seen with me while I was wearing heels unless it was Halloween.  But I went for it.  Before we left the house, my wife clearly saw the boots I had just put on, but said nothing.  The jeans have a somewhat flared leg so they hid the boots somewhat well.

First, we took our daughter to a toy store so she could spend her birthday money (her birthday was a few days earlier).  We walked all over the toy store for about 30 minutes before she finally picked out a toy.

Then, we went to lunch at Olive Garden, followed by a trip to the local mall to let her pick out a new purse which I would buy as her birthday gift.

I got no looks, no stares, no comments, and felt great in my heels.  The wife didn't mind either, so I think she has become tolerant of my heeling desires, which is a step up from where we were...

The boots were nice because they weren't too high, didn't hurt much, and they don't make a click/clack noise due to the rubber heel.  I consider this my most successful public heeling outing, to-date...

  9. This is a big step.  It does feel good to go out in public on what is currently viewed as taboo. Be prepared for all kinds of reactions, from positive to negative.  Most of all, remember we live in the age of technology - everyone has a smartphone that takes pictures and video, and you could be subjecting yourself to some online humiliation, if you take it that way.  I know some other members here would LOVE to be filmed while in public with their heels on, to help bring attention to "the cause".

I, like you, do most of my heeling/dressing in the house.  I started off just wearing high heeled boots under my jeans, but now I've taken a liking to leggings and stiletto shoes.  I wouldn't dare wear them outside my house, but I do wear the boots out once in a while - they are the least noticeable.

There are some very stylish guys here that put great outfits together for public appearances.  Check them out for inspiration and ideas, as I have done.  Best of luck to you.

  10. I absolutely agree.   In 2015, the year when 65 year old blokes can apparently change their sex without a single person saying "er, come again, mate?" , it seems insane that men are still ridiculed, their sexuality questioned, etc. if they want to wear footwear with a high heel !!!

Have you even been on the forums related to Caitlyn Jenner?  People are ripping her apart, especially religious people...lots of people are saying "er, come again, mate?", and they are also saying things that are much MUCH worse!
