  1. I think that women wearing trainers and sportswear for a party or to go out are looking ridiculous. Of course this is my own opinion and I keep it for myself. I never want to hurt people nor look for trouble, and I don't want to be hurted either. I have nothing to do with narrow-minded people that tease others. Just ignore them. Don't forget it's not only about heels : wear some old "forgotten" fashion style (like Grandmaster flash or Mickael Jackson at their beginnings) and you'll look "ridiculous" to most people in our current society. We (street-)heelers are just out of time or "out of todays fashion", whatever we can call it... I think that wearing heels is both a forgotten-from-the-past and a unbelievable-for-narrow-minded-people fashion for men. Furthermore, as far as I know, most of the heeled shoes for men from the past were thick heels, and that may be one of the clues to understand why men wearing stiletto or thin heels look more unusual/"weird" and, as a consequence, why they are more likely to be teased. I think it is linked with the feeling that stilettos "look" more feminine. But I'm not sure of that last point... just a thought  (sorry for the abuse of compound words ; I hope I was clear :wavey:)

  2. I'm not totally agree, I find them quite pretty, I'm certainly the only one to say that...

I find them pretty too, but prefer rounded toe-box.

    .

I love Kitten heels for these reasons...

    1: Comfort,

2: Love the wobbly feeling of the little stiletto below,

3: The power/pressure of the little heel on the floor... (apparently more force that higher stilettos),

4: I love advertising the fact that I COULD have been wearing flats but I PREFER wearing stilettos (and there is no compromise...would not be seen dead without stilettos on).

  3. Despite the fact that these are "woman's shoes," I don't think anyone would bat an eye if they saw a man wearing either pair of boots under jeans or the clogs with either jeans or shorts.

But I think most people would notice if they saw a man wearing any of the previous, non-HD shoes, above.

Again, my is that the masculinity/femininity of the shoe has less to do with heel height than it does with the other design elements of the shoe - a fact which designers have yet been able to grasp.

    Would you agree?

    I totally agree

  4. Name: shuffle "Marion" and you'll find Romain

    Age: 28

    Gender: Male

    Location: France

    Occupation: software developper, webmaster

    Height: 1m78 (5"10 ?)

    Weight: 70-74 kgs

    Shoe size: EUR42.5 / UK9 / US11

What's your favourite heel style: chunky, block

What's your favourite shoe style: boots, booties, mary-janes, babies

Do you wear your heels outside: yes I wear my "women's shoes" outside : sometimes flats, sometimes heels

    What is:

    (a) Your favourite heel height: 3"

(:wavey: Your highest heel height: 4.5"

    How often do you wear:

    (a) Your favourite heel height: quite often but prefer 2" or less for work

( Your highest heel height: rarely (for events or parties), sometimes at home

Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes: mostly thin socks, hose, and bare feet

Anything else you wish to add: I just love to wear nice women shoes instead of boring men shoes... If you think I'm weird then just let me be weird

  5. As long as I wear clothes that suits well with my heels, my girl friend isn't much worried about my look. She likes when I'm taller, because she's only 1" smaller than me, and she dislikes when she wears heels that make her taller than me. I love her in heels, and I wear heels too, so that I stay taller than her... and we both are pleased with the situation

  6. I just don't wear too many open toed strappy heels myself simply because I don't really like the look for men or women. I just think closed toed heels with cleavage are sexier because they leave something for the imagination. Must be the American in me, culturally repressed, regressed, and depressed. Afterall I live in the "Don't ask don't tell" society.;)

Honestly the imagination is almost always better than reality.

I totally agree with that but I am French :wavey: (could this cheer you )

But there's one style that really turns me on : Mary-janes, with closed toe-box and an ankle-strap, and open sides.

  7. I don't own anymore shoes that I bought in "men's corner" for 2 years now. And it's not very simple because it's quite hard to find sizes over 10 here in France (my size is a female UK11 ; I forgot my male size ). Hopefully I can speak English quite well and I can write some German too. Combined with eBay, I manage to buy shoes I love.

In public and at work, I wear heels that are more unisex, mainly boots with 1.5" to 3" chunky or cow-boy heels, and sometimes flats.

In the evening, when I go out and at home, I dare to wear higher heels (up to 4.5", but still chunky boots).

But I always tend to hide my heels under long (male or female) jeans.

The shoes that I find hardest to wear in public are open shoes (pumps, sandals and mules). I don't dare to do it yet.

The shoes that make me dare to wear heels freely in public and at work are those ones
