  1. What can the TSA say? You are not doing anything wrong or illegal. It's certainly not illegal to wear heels, therefore they can't say anything to you. I once had a flight attendant compliment me on my heels.

But a man wearing heels, especially block heels, looks more suspect because unusual.

And there's enough room to put some illegal stuff into block heels...

  2. I've bought and sold hundreds of pairs of shoes on Ebay over the years. Once in a while I encounter a non-paying buyer. It happens, but there isn't much you can do about it. Ebay is good at refunding the fees when it happens. And I never send and goods until I've been paid. Paypal is the best - no hassel with credit cards or lost mail. All in all, I've been pleased with Ebay, and I check for bargains every day. While not everything I buy fits or looks good, if I can't return it, I can usually re-sell it and recover most of my investment. Sometimes I've even made a little profit.

    +1

and yes, always have a proof for shipping !

  3. My 3" block heeled booties had to go through the scanner, I don't know if it's because of the metal parts (holes for the laces) or if they fear of drugs being hidden into the heels. It was a non-event though.

  4. i had a pair of these for collecting fishing bait from the beach. the reason i chose jellies is that they are all plastic with nothing to rot. most other materials had problems. leather or canvas rotted out or fell apart and welly boots are just too damn warm in the middle of summer. the jellys i had were imported by a friend from southern europe and they lasted around 5 years before starting to rip. wish i could get another pair as i sick of knackering up trainers. flip flops are just a waste of time as they break when walking over rock pools and are rather dangerous

In my sense, glitterheels talked about them in a fashion way.

You are talking about them in a practical way which is quite a different approach.

But I might be wrong :)

  5. I must admit there's one pair of Van's skateboard shoes I bought more than 10 years ago in my closet. I only wear them when I have no other choice (to go hiking for example). I haven't bought any "men-labelled" shoes since.

  6. Sandals.. Heels, flats, thongs, slides, wedgies... Whatever looks nice and is comfortable. But I see that - according to the poll at least - us sandal wearers are in the minority. Wonder why, especially in the summer?? sf

I never found sandals that fit my look / look good on my feet.

    It's simple as that.

  7. I really appreciate that my best friends take and like me as I am. As a feedback, I try to respect them and avoid situations that (I think) could be (too) embarrassing for them, like wearing too feminine shoes / outfit if we were to go out in public, especially when we're only two. I don't want they could feel embarrassed because of other (narrow-minded) people could think of us as a couple of gays.

  8. Buyers are often annoying too... Since I decided to write measurements (length and width) of all shoes I put on eBay, eBayers are asking me much more about sizing than before... People seem to be unable to come to the idea that they can measure their feet or their own shoes to compare with. Besides, there are more and more buyers that never pay items they have bid on, even "small" amounts of money (less than 30€). And finally, eBay fees are higher and higher. So I think eBay is still a nice place to buy bargains (especially in bigger sizes that are quite rare here in France), but becomes a much more crappy place than other similar websites for good sellers that are taking care of their buyers. Just my opinion based on my nearly 400 stars eBay experience :)

  9. At long last - '6InchHeelsForever' have completely re-designed their website from top to bottom - and it is wonderful.

It now makes complete sense - is clear, concise and totally 'user-friendly' - here:

    http://www.orientvisual.com/6inchforever/index.php?querytype=home

They have a neat navigation menu, all their styles in Sections - with neat, thumbnail photographs to click on for larger images - and links to other sections. They are laid out in clear pages and the whole thing overall is a delight to visit.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - they have made their Sizing SOOO much clearer........using a Universal International Shoe Size chart!!!

    Bravo!!

Their site is certainely better but I wouldn't say wonderful nor user-friendly...

And over all, the larger images won't display on Firefox 3.5.8 (running on kubuntu 9.10 64bits).

W3C validation is not good either

So still no "bravo" from me

  10. My size is EUR 42,5/43 or UK 9 wide (US 11W or US 12, depends the brand but I'm not shopping much on US websites because the postage fees are much higher than european countries like england or germany). I prefer round and closed toe-boxes, and chunkier heels (especially for everydays street-heeling). I wear heels from 3" to 4" most of the time but I like heels up to 6"... and sometimes ballerina flats (which become harder and harder for me to wear because I'm heeling too much). I prefer pumps and boots than sandals and mules, single sole or little platforms (under 1 inch). I would like to enjoy more sandals but I don't really like showing so much of my feet. I hate flip-flops, uggs, crocs and sports/hiking shoes.

  11. No, I won't quit heeling if I could. I feel so natural and comfortable in heels now that I sometimes forget I'm wearing them (this is happening with 3" up to 4" heels). I know I will be more and more unable to quit heeling because I feel more and more uncomfortable without heels. I even tend to tip-toe without thinking of it when I'm barefooted. That makes me fear next summer because I still haven't found summer footwear other than ballerina flats that suits my style, and I haven't the guts to wear pumps or sandals outside yet.

  12. Well isn't that funny!!

I have 5 pairs of 'Hollywood Heels' shoes - all are perfect fits, comfortable and well made.

I think you must have had plain bad luck.

    Same experience here :chuckle:

One of my favourite brands !

  13. Hello to all!

This ist my first reply, i hope it will work.

I am wearing heels (12-14cm) always at home, my gf supports me. Most time i sleep in heels, boots that can not be removed easily during the night. In order to get my feet adjusted to higher heels i found out a new method. Just see the pic. I can sleep in this position for about 2 to 3 hours before i ll free my feet, but i will keep the boots on.

My knees are still bend while walking with this 16 cm heels but it will get better every day(night).

    Regards

I just received the same boots today (but in non-shiny black) and I can't wait to sleep in them as they lock the ankle even when not standing.

I knew I couldnt master walking in them and I must admit I bought them to stretch while sleeping. And because they are beautiful ;-) And because one day I'll master walking in them :w00t2:
