I have.... a certain number of shoes (check my albums and count for me but don't tell me ) and I wear 4-5 pairs of them regularly depending the season, the occasion and the outfit.
-
Well I got told off by one of the men at work yesterday evening.
"why aren't you wearing your boots" he said in a quite stern manner implying almost that he expected me to wear my heels every day. I told him not to worry I would be wearing them regularly just had a change to shoes on this particular day.
Just goes to show that once people get used to the idea they don't only accept us in heels but they actually expect it.
This is my experience as well.

I threw up some heels when I was around 20 years old, because of guilt. Now, either I sell them if they are still wearable, either they are completely worn-out and it takes ages before I decide to throw them up...

Technically, I found it not so bad. And certainly not worse than a flash-powered website. The very problem is that the pictures are way too heavy. They should at least have made them progressive. Oh, and about the shoes shown here, these styles are not my taste.

Mostly ballerina flats and flat boots here these days... and a few wedge ankle boots

There will be a shift in your center of gravity (forward) that is probably greater than this test shows. The difficult thing with a simple test like this is that it doesn't just show the shift imparted by the heels, but the wearer's ability to under/over correct for the shift. Pretty sure the results would be found to be unreliable if you sampled a larger group of people because everyone's corrective response will be different.
That's exactly why I'm asking if anyone has similar test results !

We all know the influence of heels on our gravity center, but here is a test that proves it ! I used my Wii balance board and I found this (sorry Wii fit is in French as it is my native language, but words aren't really important here) : Here is the first result when I am barefooted on the balance board : Then when I wear 2" heels (5cm) : Then when I switch to 3.5" heels (8cm) : And finally when I wear 4.5" heels (11cm) : As you can see, my gravity center is far from where it should be when I'm barefooted, and gets better as I wear higher heels. It seems that the best heel height for me would be around 4" (10cm). Now I am curious and I would know if any of you have already done that test ?

They look great especially with the tops turned down and would look awesome with skinny jeans and a sheepskin jacket/coat. Those boots with bare legs and a denim skirt/shorts is a trendy look if you have the legs and confidence for it.
Thanks for the advice. I don't like shorts much, but I should give a try with skinny jeans.

Marion the girliest would be the black mules and satin bow sandals for sure, and congrats as your collection looks great!
Right ! Thank you for the compliment !

Mr. X, I like your boots too !
-
Er.. no, they are not. Why do you keep deleting my posts when I point out that you're wrong?
Spotted that. Not sure who has deleted your post but I find that's not fair, sorry to say that :-/

I do have some goth taste too, but sorry, these do not make any appeal to me :-S Nevermind, that's just my own taste and if you like them and know how to wear them, they will surely look good on you !

I think I'll prefer the opposite : heels with tennis shoes printed on it

Jogging is quite known to be bad for the knees and the back... especially if you are overweighted.

errr... it's easier if it's up to you to decide among my collection

Odd and expensive, for sure.

I even checked the html source code minutely. That menu item doesn't appear anywhere.
-
It's seems to be specific to you computer. I can see it fine.
Couldn't it actually be specific to the fact you belong to the staff member ?
-
That still works. Looks like the menu entry is lost, but not its target. Or can you still see the menu entry?
The link works for me too and the menu entry has disappeared as well.

All, I'm quite a fan of wedges for sure. There is no better shoe for stability in someone's back yard on the grass or walking on trails but still wanting some sort of high heel. One can show off the pedicure and get some sense of reasonable stability. If you're ever invited to an outdoor wedding and want to wear some heels then wedges are the choice! HappyinHeels
That matches my opinion quite well !
I own several wedges and I love them !

Its funny, as much as I love these boots and want to wear them, I don't
Want to wear them so they stay "preserved".
Haha, that might be why there are some shoes I love that I buy twice : one pair to wear and another as a "backup" :-D

Yes, I often drive in heels but if I wear high heels (more than 3"), I switch to a pair of old ballerina flats that always stay in my car for that purpose, and switch back to heels once I park. I like to drive in high heels, but I think that's not safe. And could I honestly pretend to be serious if I had an accident with 5" heels on my feet ?

My new year resolution was 1920x1080 and I kept it at this point

I do think that's because they are sitting cross-legged most of the time since childhood (at home working or eating, at the restaurant, in bars "izakaya"...).
Such "abuse" of this position make their knees turn inside, maybe more for the right leg because cross-legged sitting position is not symmetrical : the right foot is more bent when above the left knee, whereas the left foot is less bent under the right knee.
I hope you see what I mean.
