  1. Yes, interesting to Google them, it does seem that there is a certain degree of content relating to the ethical side of this organisation. There was a mention in some site details that there are regional distribution centres, EU, US, which may help reduce the green issue but does not go anywhere near the topic of workers or materials. Maybe I won't make it a regular haunt.

  2. I've used the word New in the title, but I may just be slow on the uptake and this may be old news, correct me if i'm wrong.

Over the weekend, while browsing hhpage on my phone I was plagued with adverts from Shein. (Shein.co.uk)

Decided i'd go and see what all the fuss was about, and they have hundreds/thousands of shoes and boots (among other things). Not completely sure of the origin of the site, as in this day and age contact details can be very sketchy.

Long story short, I've placed an order, which I think will be coming from China. Estimated delivery in 8-10 days.

The post person will be busy.

I think oldies in our society are considered too irrelevant ever to be in anyone’s face. We are the least interesting, least valuable demographic. We pose neither a challenge nor a threat

So maybe that means we can get away with anything. 😄

  4. This article is a fascinating read.

I'm certainly not someone who would actively push a direction that is thought to be socially unacceptable but am certainly open to ideas, changes in dynamics and general acceptance of people who are more free with their inner feelings than others. I mentioned something similar to this the other day, that society is changing, to be more accepting of people who do not necessarilly conform to the believed social norms and as such gives everyone more of an opportunity to be themselves. But changes are not coming fast enough,

I particulalry like the quote: "but society has taught us to hide certain aspects of ourselves because they are not socially acceptable. Many men fear their feminine side because, as I stated above, they have been conditioned to be that way by others who are not comfortable with their own feminine sides"

  5. Had a great week away recently, far off lands where you can let your hair down in a manner of speaking. Enjoyed wearing my Steve Madden ankle boots for the week (recent purchase, should share photos) but now feeling on top of the world. With that my excited trigger happy fingers just went and bought a new pair of long boots. I won't post stock pictures, i'll wait till they arrive and post real photos.

I'll be checking my email every five minutes now till they arrive.

  6. All the bullets listed and the additional comments sound like we're all referrng to the same book, our book of life, experiences, tolerance, concealment, revelation and so on. Maybe we should all get to gether and write a book on this, might change the world, for the better.

@hideenheels, it sounds like we're on the same page of the same book, how strange is life.

  7. Society's norms and acceptance! Clearly the world has eveloved in the last number of years, being more tolerant and accepting of individual's uniqueness. Sadly though it's a long way from giving people the reassurance that many/most need to venture out wearing whatever they like without the huge burden and concern about stigma, finger pointing and repercussions.

Not everyone finds a way to reach what they might feel is their goal, and so we keep part of our lives completely to themselves, sadly. On a brighter side though, having forums like this allows people to share their feelings, even if we make no further changes, it still helps in allowing us to live more easily with who we are.

Loving the red and black but the leopard print and black hits the mark spot on, fab look!

This was my outfit from a few weeks ago. 7 inch platform heels from Pleaser, latex biker jacket from cathouse clothing. Also had a corset on underneath my shirt.

Keep doing a double take while flicking through the "who's bought new boots" thread and seeing your picture of these pleaser boots on there. Absolutely awsome.

  9. I've lost count, although I could go and count them but it's nowhere near 100.  But like other groups i'm in (not heels related), after buying the next one (pair) I always say "no more" and then soon enough do exactly the opposite.

I trust i'm not alone with this broken philosophy?

Very nice, might even have to add these to my wish list, if it wasn't already so very long

Don't people find that wish lists are frustrating though?

I ofter come across pictures on Pinterest that I save, only to eventually find that they are 2, 3, 4 years since being on the market so the likelyhood of getting them is slim. 😞

I've added a photo from pinterest anyway of some that i've saved.

  12. Definitely way too few hours for me. On a good week it may average at 2-3 hours per day but normal weeks, which are not generally as good, possibly only 1-2 although on reflection I could actively change that to push the numbers up.

Working from home a lot more, like now, I just have bare feet unless they get cold.

I do things where I want my core warm and I want my arms and shoulders free for movement, such as kayaking when it 40-ish F (5-ish C). So I wear many sleeveless tops, mostly sleeveless turtlenecks as a base layer. Yes, they were women's.

Just to be clear, you go kayaking in sleveless tops in temperatures of 40F (ish)?

Surely at that temperature a wetsuit is mandatory, or is it just me who only start showing body parts at 60F+
