  1. Jeans and boots are a classic winter outfit, and thanks to this season's skinny-legged jeans, you no longer have to conceal your knee-high boots underneath the legs of your pants. Wear your jeans tucked into tall boots or over the top of ankle or calf-length stilettos. A pair of high heel boots will smart up your work wardrobe and make you feel confident and sexy. Choose a pointy-toed boot for an elegant, professional look. Skirts and dresses look best when worn with knee high boots, although a calf-length style can look great with a casual, denim skirt. Avoid ankle-length boots with skirts and dresses, and choose skirts that hit the knee or just above--very short skirts with high heel boots is a look that only really works for nightclubs! City shorts have been big news this summer, and the trend looks likely to continue right into next year. These knee-length, tailored shorts make a stylish alternative to skirts. We've been wearing them all summer with pumps and strappy sandals, but they'll look equally good with tights and knee-high boots when the cooler weather comes along.

  2. Hi Sara

I wear heels all the time to work so I might be able to offer some advice on this one!

Go no higher than 4" heels, boring I know but there is a comfort factor involved in this as well, ( and yes I can wear 5" heels )as people tend to look at the shoes first, I know, I tried it. Also stick to plain but smart shoes in black, blue etc with maybe a bow or buckle but nothing else because you'll draw unwanted attention to yourself and when your just starting it can be nerve racking.

I also wear boots alot to work aswell, I love boots, with straight skirts, not too short though(again the attention thing) Use the same criteria for boots if you want to wear boots. Black is best though.

I hope this helps, its abit conservative I know but when you start you don't want to cross any hidden "lines" and some offices have "sensibilities".

anyway good luck with your career

    hi Sue

I agree with you a lot. I love wearing boots too.

  3. Yeah I constantly notice guys (& girls!) looking at my heels. Since I am more into boots, its generally my boots that has them staring. Particularly when I wear my skinny jeans inside a pair of my knee high stiletto boots. I was shopping in this outfit one day when I guy approached me, and told me he wished his girlfriend would wear what I was wearing. I felt like singing "don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me, don't ya?!?!" but I didn't!!

you are so right! I wear high heel boots all the time, and am so much more comfortable in them. I truly love the way a pair of feminine, unbelievably high, thin stiletto heels make my legs and feet look - so utterly delicate, extremely sophisticated and unabashedly sexy. Heels improve your posture, and give a very sensual wiggly to your walk. With each diminutive step, my slim hips sway so incredibly seductively. I love all the wonderful attention I receive from men because of my choice of footwear. I never have to open doors or pull out a chair, men sense my glamorous predicament and assist me.

  4. I don't think the winter isn't that bad in major cities of Canada, I've been to Vancouver, Toronto, London and Windsor. As long as city workers doing their jobs, I have no problem to walk on inch of snow with my high heel boots. I love wearing high heel boots to work, especially in winter. The leather inner lining cladding my legs, i feel totally protected and warm. But the roadsalt and snow can do damage on your leather boots. In winter I have my boots polished by the shoeshine guys daily. Just tip them well and they will do a good job. Alicia

  5. I am still a big fan of a five inch heels for evry day. I love wearing higher but 5 is the best for most activities

my boots are ranging from 3.5 to 5 inches. but I have to say 5" are most perfect height for me.

I am 5'7, with my highheel boots on, I am over 6'.

  6. As a professional business lady, there are just a few styles of footwear that we should own, and high heel boots and shoes, along with a great pair of stilettos are one of those styles. Why do we need high heel boots? Well, everyone needs boots for the cooler weather. They're both warmer and more practical than shoes, and they open out a whole new range of outfit possibilities. By choosing high heel boots, you'll also get all of the benefits a higher heel can bring. Wearing high heel boots is a way for us to accentuate our images and styles. While there are different designs and fashions for high heel boots: from soft and classy to wild and bold, most of us agree that adding high heels gives us a little bit of flair and edge that we really enjoy. Heels help elongate the leg, give us a sleeker, more slender silhouette, and add a sexy wiggle to our walk. They look great with jeans, pants, skirts and dresses, and there's a high heel boot for every occasion we can think of. That said, if we are not used to wearing high heels boots, it can be difficult to know what to wear them with. I don’t agree that some conservative women are wary of this style because they worry the boots will look trashy, or too young for them. Actually, a good quality pair of boots can be a great addition to the wardrobe no matter what our ages. Remember that the heel doesn't have to be a towering stiletto one: Cuban heels block heels, slender heels or even kitty heel can make nice alternatives to stilettos. As to what we can wear with our new boots? Well, here are some outfit ideas: Jeans and boots are a classic winter outfit, and thanks to this season's skinny-legged jeans, we no longer have to conceal your knee-high boots underneath the legs of your pants. Wear our jeans tucked into tall boots or over the top of calf-length stilettos. Pair of high heel boots will smart up our work wardrobe and make us feel confident and sexy. Choose a pointy-toed boot for an elegant, professional look. Skirts and dresses look best when worn with knee high boots, although a calf-length style can look great with a casual, denim skirt. Avoid ankle-length boots with skirts and dresses, and choose skirts that hit the knee or few inches above. City shorts have been big news this summer, and the trend looks likely to continue right into next year. These knee-lengths, tailored shorts make a stylish alternative to skirts. People have been wearing them all summer with pumps, but they'll look equally good with tights and knee-high boots when the cooler weather comes along. I am sure you'll find just as much variety with high heel boots as with any other type of footwear. There are three lengths to choose from knee length, calf length and ankle length, and a variety of different types of heels, from spindly stilettos to thicker Cuban heels. The days when boots came in just black and brown are long since gone, and we'll be able to find boots in any color that takes your fancy. The type of boots you choose will depend very much on your personal taste and the types of occasions you'll want to wear your boots for. Many women choose to buy a classic pair of "go with anything" black or brown boots for work and other more formal situations, plus a fun pair of boots for parties and casual wear. You may also want to buy a pair of ankle-length boots to wear with pants and some knee-length boots for skirts and dresses.

  7. I wear high heels boots all the time, and am so much more comfortable in them. I truely love the way a pair of feminine, unbelievably high, thin stiletto heels make my legs and feet look - so utterly delicate, extremely sophisticated and unabashedly sexy. Heels improve your posture, and give a very sensual wiggly to your walk. With each diminutive step, my slim hips sway so incredibly seductively. I love all the wonderful attention I receive from everyone because of my choice of footwear. I never have to open doors or pull out a chair; men sense my glamorous predicament and assist me. I never have to walk on a puddle of mud; men would place his jackets on the ground over the dirt for me. I've been wearing high heels boots for so long that I absolutely cannot wear flats - they simply hurt when I try to walk in them. A 5 inch heel for me is actually quite normal. Wearing high heels boots all the time is actually quite an expensive extravagance, (hosiery, stocking, etc) but to me it is so worth it.

Conversations absolutely stop when I stroll into a room precariously perched atop a pair of unthinkably tall stiletto boots, and I command the undivided attention of all present. These boots aren’t about comfort; they are about boosting the feminine ego. Even many years of wearing stilettos, I still feel so powerful, and unsteady, yet enchantingly glamorous and confident of myself while wearing my boots.

I like knee high boots. They seem to be somewhat more versatile. I have my eye on these right now:

    http://www.shoexotica.com/MLSGSCY/PD156850/details/516-Lexi-Black-5-Heel-Knee-High-.aspx?

Sexy, yes, but I feel i could wear to work also.

I am leaning towards high-heeled boots being okay so long as the rest of your outfit was fairly posh and conservative cashmere or tight wool turtleneck. with a not too short wool skirt.

It perhaps depends on how much you let other people influence you.

I like the skirt and think it would look great with the boots. Others will tell you that it won't or that your shouldn't wear the boots.

For me, it doesn't matter what anyone else may think. If I feel good in something, I am going to wear it and not care what anyone else may think. If you like that outfit together wear it and enjoy yourself knowing that you look and feel good!

With the right outfit I would definitely feel more confident and certainly more in control, and I do like wearing high heels boots, but isn't this true of any outfit which makes you feel good about yourself?

  8. I have been ballroom dancing for about long time and some of my gfs find dancing in high heeled boots with minimal padding very tiring, especially if they dancing for a long time, and I experience the same, especially when breaking into a new pair of leather boots Lately I have been wearing a dress with a knee length hemline and a pair of gorgeous knee high boots with 5 inch heel and inside the boots I put a pair of thicker padding. I find this way, I can dance a lot longer without getting tired. It really helps. Also, it's good idea to rest your bootlegs on a pillow liked cushion when taking a break, it helps the circulation on my legs, becuae I am not taking my boots off.

  9. Wake up 6am in the morning. After showering, making up and fixing my hair, I go through my walk in closet, spend half and hour to decide what to wear. I put on a black bra and white tight silk blouse. And dark grey business skirt suits, with wrap around skirt, just above the knee. I’d put on my black leather jacket instead the original jacket. Then I’d pick my black leather knee boots with 4 to 5“ heels. I don’t wear the same boots everyday, because I love my boots and don’t want to get them wearing out so fast. I sit down cross my leg one over another, slip into the boot shaft, as my foot gently snuggles into the end, I zip it up. Uncross my legs and do the next. I love the leather clinging on my legs. That’s the nicest feelings, the leather inner lining just keep my legs warm and cozy. At 7:30am I grab my leather handbag, walk out of my room, click my boot heels loud on the marble floor and go down to the kitchen and have breakfast with my aunt. Both of us dress the same style. I sat down with my bootlegs cross, the servant comes to me and kneel down dust off my boots and light polish them, as I am having breakfast. Before 8:00am, I stand up and click my boot heels loud and walk to my office, I put on my leather gloves and sunglasses instructed the servant help me to grab my briefcase and follow me to the door. I good bye kiss my aunt as we leave. That feeling intensified as I leave the house and click on the hard concrete pavement covered with light snow and road salt. It never make me feel cold, even though I walk on the snow, grinding the salts and making little crunch. The hardworking of the servant cleaning my boots was totally wasted. The servant will never understand why I need my boots cleaned and polished, everyday before I step on of the door, regardless the bad weather snow, rain...etc. Wearing high heels boots is our privilege, it’s like our high status and images. They should be honor to polish them even with their tongues. I will never tolerate a moment of dirt on my boots. On my way to the garage to pick up my X5, I smile as I feel the boot heels tapping on the hard surface as the cold breeze gently waft across me. I walk into the garage with my servant, I press the remote and the car doors unlock. The servant rushes to the passenger said and put my briefcase into the passenger seat, close the door and rushed back to me, open the driver side door. I knock my boots few times on the ground to get the slurishes off my boots. The servant sees that immediately kneel down, take off his jacket and place them on the ground besides my car. I walk on his jacket, wipe my boot soles on it and twist on it few times. I feel myself getting a little moist down below. Still, that is the way I like it. I step into my car, just before I close the door; I swing both of my boots out with the heel tips rest on the stepping rail, right in front of his face. He lightly kisses each of my boots on the boot toe. Then I shut the door, and start the engine, pull out the driveway. I then floor the gas pedal, wheeling spinning and flying down to the road. 10. in my own office, one section is hardwood floor, and the other section is flag stone, where my desk are at the wooden floor section and i spend most of the time by my desk. That gives the janitors big headaches, because I insist to wear my stiletto boots to work everyday. metal heels and wooden floor. I meant the janitors should complain too much, because they get paid and work.

Same as other departments. There is no way to give up our right wearing high heels boots, which is part of the dresscode and our images. I am not going to wear a pair of sneakers to work.

We had meeting about this issues, finally we came up a solution, since certain managers including myself are huntresses, we can put the fox fur rugs under our desks. The rest of the office ladies doen't want to rest their expensive boots on the cheap carpets. We spended an amount of money to purchase wools carepts for each of them until we have enough fox fur rugs for everyone.

But still...the high traffice areas don't get covered, therefore they still have to work extra hours to wax the floor every day.

  11. It was true. I love driving anyway, but driving in high heels boots was better again. There’s nothing quite like flooring the accelerator pedal in stilettos and feeling the power as the car pulls away especially when you have a fast car. I never really over did it. I am quite a careful driver, but love to open her up when the time is right. I suppose its the combination of feeling the energy of the machine and the command you have over it together with the authority of the high heels boots. Again its something which is difficult to describe with a few words, do it and find out, or not ! This is my advice. Alicia

  12. The winter is still hanging aorund the corner. Yesterday a new girl in our office worn a pair of Doc Martin to work. Well before we get into this argument perhaps we should indenfity dress boots and casual boots. Fist of all dress boots. As the name suggests these boots are worn to a nice restaurant, office and a business meeting. Anywhere where you want to look good ad professional. As a result they are usually elegant, professional looking with an extended heel. An example of a dress boot is knee high stiletto boots. Casual boots are footwear we would wear everyday. A good example is Doc Martins. Other examples of casual boots are constructional hiking style boots. So what do you prefer? Are you a casual person or a dress person? Perhaps you are both. Well there is no doubt that they give people a different style. Casual boots for example have a colorful history. They have been worn by the military, the police, skinheads and punks. More recently you see Goths wearing boots. They certainly have a rebellious quality and individualism that much footwear lack. When you wear casual boots, perhaps along with your clothes and haircut they tell people exactly what you are interested in. How many times have you seen a skinhead walking confidently down the road with a heavy pair of steel caps? Did you avoid his stare? Probably. A similar thing with cowboy and motorcycle boots. We see this footwear on people and automatically make presumptions about them. It is a natural thing to do and no doubt why people are wearing these boots in the first place. On the other hand dress boots are associated with confident, good looking people. Women who have good jobs and want to look good when they go out. Often we see models wearing knee high boots on the catwalk. But what do these say about you? Unlike casual boots, dress boots tend to give you a less edgy appearance, rather than being associating them with a sub-culture we tend to think high society. They give you a refined look and mark someone out as a respected person in society. A lot of people own both kinds of footwear. If they are going to the pub they wear Doc Martins. If they are going on a date they may wear there knee high boots. For myself, I own have few pair of casual boots that I bought years ago, I spend most of my time wear dress boots (knee boots, OTK boots mostly) due to my career, even on weekend when I put on my jeans, meeting people in the club. My life is already bonded with dress boots and I am proud of it. Once again, high heels boots are essentially ostentatious items; they can transmit different messages via body language depending on how you use them. The images that heels are best at reinforcing are those of femininity, sophistication, classy, confidence, authority, or sexiness. That is the good thing about today’s culture it seems like every fashion has been exhausted and we can feel free to wear what we like. When we like. Casual boots for example though linked in the past with skinheads are now worn by straightedge vegans. No longer do they have the negative connatations associated with them in the past. ALicia

  13. Every woman ought to have at least one pair of boots. The question is, what style of boots do you want? Well, first we are going to divide boots into two categories: ankle boots and knee-high boots. Yes, there are indeed thigh-high boots, and they can be very fun, but they are not quite as versatile as your basic knee-high or ankle-high boots. Ankle Boots Ankle boots tend to weave their way in and out of fashion trends, year after year. So, while ankle boots are hot right now, you might remember that they were also hot in the 1980’s, and they may not be so hot again for another few decades. Nonetheless, ankle boots are still great boots, and they look great with many different outfits. Of course, since I brought up the 1980’s, I must also point out that the way a pair of ankle boots ought to be worn has changed since then. In the 1980s, it was all the rage to pair up a pair of ankle boots with a short skirt or with brightly colored socks. Today, neither of these are good looks. Keep your socks hidden well beneath the top of your ankle boots, and save your short skirts for other taller boots or shorter shoes. Let me repeat: do not wear your ankle boots with short skirts! You can, however, pair them up with a nice and long skirt. Ankle boots also look great with boot-cut jeans or skinny-leg dress pants. Basically, when you wear your ankle boots, you want to wear them with pants that are going to make your legs look their best, and these will be pants that are fitted around the calf and ankle. As far as what style of ankle boots you should get – suede, stiletto, purple, fringed, buckled, etc. – that is completely up to you. Have fun with your ankle boots. Go crazy! Knee-High Boots So, you just learned not to wear your ankle boots with a short skirt, right? Well, let me tell you that you can wear your knee-high boots with a short skirt – just do not try to wear them with a short and tight mini-skirt, unless you are trying to look like a street-roamer. Rather, choose an A-line mini skirt that does not hit higher than mid-thigh. This is still a sexy look, but it is much more sophisticated than the aforementioned look. You could also choose a fitted skirt with an above-the-knee hemline. You want to be sure that there is a gap between the top of the boots and the hem of your skirt. A mid-calf skirt also looks great with a pair of knee-high boots. Just avoid a fitted skirt – something with an A-line cut is going to be much more flattering. When you buy a pair of knee-high boots, it is important to find a pair that fits your calf well (unless you are looking for cowboy boots). If you have very skinny calves, it may be difficult to find a well-fitting boot. In this case, you may decide to buy boots that stretch. These are more likely to cling to your calves. Regardless of whether or not you buy yourself a pair of knee-high boots or ankle boots, buy yourself a pair of boots! There are so many style options that you are missing out on if you do not own at least one pair of boots. And once you do get a pair of boots, feel free to experiment. You may find that it is even OK for you to break some of the aforementioned boot “rules.” Go with whatever suits your style and your figure the best. Quote from fashion magzine Alicia

  14. I don't think there is a age limit what not to wear or wear. I was late hitting my first growth spurts, and heels helped me overcome a little of the height difference, as I was sensitive about it at the time. And I loved how grown up and sophisticated they made me feel. And they sound so feminine when you walk in them correctly. And I never agree with people sterotype thigh boots= hooker=slut...etc. It also has to do with what you wear with them, I often wear my 5" thighboots with my business suits with above or blow knee lenght skirts to work. I often receive nice compliment. If anyone of you watch the devil wears prada, the way she dress is professional and elegant. Alicia

  15. same here, I am from Ontario, the weather is cold and snow here. I don't really have problem walking on the snow, perhaps I am athletic and I am very used to wear highheels. besides everyday when I pull up my parkspot, the paths are already cleared by the janitors, they shove snow and put the roadsalt. One thing that bugs me is my boots can be damaged by the wet snow and the salt. My boots often need to be polished whenever i return to the office from outsides. This weather just keeping the janitors very busy. Driving in my boots, 2 of my cars are 4wheels they are BMW x5 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class, fully loaded, leather seat and interior. If I am stucked, I'd turn my steering, left to right, and half pedal with my boot skillfully, usually I can get out without an y problem. Alicia

  16. i think the damage has nothing to do with height of the heels, but the surface area of the heeltips. The smaller the heel tips , the severer damages. Since most of us wear high heeled boots to work, our office floor constantly requires maintenance and/or replacement. In my room, I prefer to place animals fur rugs/carpets under my desk and in the center of the room. That way I can keep my booted feet warm and soft. Hardwood floors are common used in the commerical area like office building..etc, residential area like my house..etc, and entertainment area like clubs, bars...etc. Whenever weekend, I must put on my sharp heels leather boots to the clubs with my friends, because I enjoy dancing so much. Listen to the beat of the music and clicking my heels...LOL ALicia

  17. Good topic. Well...on weekend when I wake up from bed, first thing is taking a nice hot shower, then apply makeup and hair, pick my favour clothes and footware in my wardrobe. I can spend like over hour in my wardrobe. because being a girl I am entitled to change my mind LOL..

Usually in fall/winter, I'd pick a nice blouse, sweater, leather jacket, blaze, trench coat (depends on the weather).

Under my waist part, a denim skirt, dress with various length or mini denim skirt is one of my option ocassionally, because this cold wear, my favour footware is kneeboots/Otk boots or even thigh boots.

    http://bootshare.com/StreamFile?id=103904

For jeans, I usually I put on stretch denim jeans with a nice leather belt, which highlights my waist. Then I'd put on my boots, once again kneeboots, Otk boots and thigh boots. For weekend, I don't limit my choice of color, sometimes I put on black, brown, puple, red, white..etc. as long as they match to my leather purse and/or leather handbags.

I make sure I look perfectly before I step out of my room, perfect image add up my confidence and affect others impression of me positively.

I usually have breakfast with my aunt by the swimming pool and/or indoor ground level living room(depends on the weather), we usually judge and make fun of each other of what we wear, exchanging indeas, common..etc because we are the same kind and always have the same taste.

After breakfast, we'd go to the garage and have the car ready, becasue we love spending time at the downtown, mall and meeting friends. I love shopping with all my friends. I remember one time 10 of us drove 5 nice cars, dressed the same way, tight jeans and boots over, leather jacket..etc, arrived into the mall, as we stepped out of the car, we formed an extended line and walked toward the entrance together click..clack.....etc. People were just paying attention at us.

Wearing boots just giving me alot of privileges, one time we were in the restaurant and the stupid waiter spilling wine on the floor, I demanded a clean tablecloth to be placed under the table on my side, I told him my boots were very expensive and just polished.

Shopping can be fun too, I was with my aunt at the carpet shop. We demanded some nice fur rugs and animal skins, because we place them by the enterances, and living rooms and we expect them good quality and durable. We tried few fox rugs and we really liked them. The sales brought many of them and placed them on the floor for us to walk on. But we also were looking for somethings else. I told them we wear heels alot in the house as I pointed the metal spike of my boot. Then he came back with couple rhino and elephane skins. We stepped on them, stamped on them and scratch the heels on them to make sure they were the right one. I was delighted of what I standing under my boots. Before we left, I joked to the sale " Next time, would you get me some human skin?"

There are so much to say.....wearing high heels boots is like I can do what i want.

  18. I realized that being self employed is entitled to have the freedom, once I used to work at home as a support for my aunt as she was working in the office in the plant. I designated the whole 2nd floor of my house as a office. The whole house was only me and the servants. The seravants usually doing the cleaning jobs outdoor and indoor, occasionally they'd bring me the coffee. I worked alone, occasionally I met with clients.

Every morning I put on my make up, business suits and high heeled boots before I step into the office, but I will never step into the office with slack clothes shoes or PJ on. Because I always maintain work ethic and professionism. My aunt always said that always repect your career and I always look up to her.

Today I work in the female dominated office, most of us dress the similar way and style. I beleive highheeled boots are the symbol of independant, feminant, educated, aggressive, dominant, professional. I enjoy working with them very much, imagine we are packed in the office with high heeled boots on our legs.

Those are the fashion i found online and I think they are acceptable in the office.

  19. I've been working in a place with few male workers. They made commons on us of what we wear, of course I had to fire them. One of them said he couldn't take the the heat and he had to use the bathroom every hour to releive himself. What a pervert, he dared to say that loud and clear in front of everyone. ALicia

  20. I don't agree with those conservative dress codes against, high heels and boots and other footwears..etc, those rules will never work in our female dominated offices. Because men feel offenced as they see us dress dominant and powerful. Let's just put it that way, I am not going to work naked or less covering, and neither my gfs. As long as it doesn't affect my performance, I dress what I want, what I think professional, and comfortable with common senses.
