  1. I picked Other because you could do multiple picks. I have so many shoes. But not counting my high heels then around the apartment I mostly tend to wear rubber thongs (or flipflops as you call them) and I even have two pairs of raised heel rubber thongs (a pink pair and a really bright green pair). I have three current pairs of sneakers (two pairs of Sketchers and one pair of Rivers) that I alternate between (and another five pairs I never seem to wear anymore and should really throw out). I have numerous pairs of various flats or low heels including two pairs of Mary Jane style with just 1” heels and five pairs of gladiator style flat sandals (which were very in here this summer but now I have gone right off them). I have three pairs of steel toecap safety boots (the pair I was issued when I started at the site plus two pairs I have bought myself since trying to find something more comfortable and a little less guy looking). As well I have a pair of really comfortable slightly raised heel hiking boots that I actually bought to go to an outdoor long weekend concert down at Bunbury and have not worn since but they might come in useful again. Also there are two pairs of cycling shoes (that clip into the pedals on a cycle which I also have not worn for about about 6 months because I have not done any club cycling but am planning to get back into it). So not counting slippers and high heels that is about it. Christine.

  2. I like the grey, blue and yellow version attached. I like the sandal version I've also attached. With a simple outfit they'd work really well (in my eyes).

    Ben

Yes. Seriously love the grey, blue, and yellow colours together, but so not liking that platform. Not into full platforms normally anyway. Just having them as semi-plats would be so much better. They do look pretty awesome although the heel bit is sort of really on a sharp angle and I try to find high heels that have not so sharp an angle for the heel.

I am not the best at PhotoShop but am trying to learn more for my work (documentation) and have had a try at making them into semi-platforms :)

Lately I am into heels with jeans, also as winter is coming here, and I can totally see these working with jeans.

    Christine.

Oops. Forgot to add my PhotoShop'd picture. Will reply again with picture (as I spent about 20 minutes doing it).

  3. Anyway, what are the red heels I kept reading about in this thread??

They are not red. They are bright orange but pictures don't show the colour that well.

The first picture is from some pictures Alise (my best friend who I share an apartment with) took sometime before Xmas when I first bought them.

The second picture was taken tonight specially by Alise on our coffee table and she has edited it a bit to try and make the hot orange colour look right.

These shoes are so light and really fit my feet so nice and used to be be my favs although I have only probably worn them out for effect about five times since buying them and I already have new favs that I almost can't stop wearing even if it is just around the apartment sometimes (in my icon picture).

  4. Christine

I know exactly how you feel. Every time i put on a pair of heels the feeling is oh so awesome. It's very hard to describe but heels are the greatest accessory in my wardrobe and thats coming from a guy! And the shopping thing, well i just love venturing out in my heels when it feels safe.

Ankle boots with a 6” heel. Wow. I am not that into boots and also tend to stay with about 4” heels although my latest favourites (blue and white sandals) are 13cm (5”) but they do have about 1.5cm semi-plat so that sort of makes the heel less … sort of.

I did a search for Wittner boots and I found these that look like they might have 6” heels but they don’t say.

There are some interesting boots. Some almost look like they could have steel toe caps :). I have to wear capped boots when I am on site and I often think about heels with toe caps but I doubt they would allow them even if they existed.

For me heels can make things that would normally be boring and grey into something exciting and fun and sexy. As I said before my friend and I sometimes go high heel grocery shopping and that is fun. Even just getting to the carpark and putting on heels just to go into Woolies or Coles (I don’t feel safe driving wearing heels). Wearing heels totally changes boring grocery shopping into something to look forward to doing.

    Christine.

  5. I have changed my profile icon picture to my current favourite heels. I hope there are no rules about not changing it ... Christine. Just noticed ... and it then changes it for all my previous replies too. That is going to make some of my comments a little odd as they mention my previous favs which are not in the picture now.

  6. I got these two weeks ago to wear to a two day training session in the city. I am so loving them. They were $275 in Australia which is more than I generally pay for heels but just getting to wear them for those two days was worth it. With working away in a country town at a mining site I don't get to wear heels much lately so when I do get to wear heels out it is even more exciting than normal. But I have them with me just in case :-) There are a few more pics in the "For Everybody" forum in What heels did you wear to work. I am sure there is a way to link to that but I am doing this very quickly in the morning before going out to the site and can't see how to do it right now. Christine.

  7. I'm sure I speak for most of us when I say we will gladly view any you choose to post! Would love to see some of your strappy sandals!

I recently wore these with jeans (not the jeans in the pictures) to two days training in the city (in Central Park tower for those that know Perth). I call these semi-plats and this is about as much platform as I like. These shoes are Peep Toe brand. I bought them special just to wear to the training.

They have great padding at the bottom and were an awesome fit and I was able to wear them all day with no problems although I did get to park under the building and only went out for a bit of a walk around at lunch time on both days (so I was sitting down at training most of the time apart from getting up to get coffee lots and trips to the loo).

At the moment I am loving these shoes.

I got Alise to take a picture with my jeans down how I wore them at training and also rolled up so you can see the whole shoe.

Must get back to work now ... working from home today. Drive back down to the site tomorrow and back into safety boots.

    Christine

  8. I hadn't been checking back at this thread. Sorry I missed a couple of the welcomes. Tks for those. Lately I am into experimenting with heels with jeans sort of partly because with my working away in the country jeans are most appropriate and as well it is autumn here so it is getting a bit cooler. Also there is something about wearing kind of boring jeans but then have on totally hot heels. Christine.

  9. And christine, with the color I'm absolutely with you, but if i take the link of SleekHeels i would prefer those classic pumps or if prefered this peeptoes...

For certain the others look great at you! As you had described, you like to wear your shoes often barefootedly, therefore the cushioned part will be soft to your feet, for certain!

I am not so much into closed in heels like pumps. They often squeeze my toes more than sandals seem to, but it might just be the types of classics I have tried. Also they generally never seem to have much padding mainly for the bottom of the foot. Also I like to show as much bare foot as I can. None of my heels are boots (but I might try a pair of ankle boots this winter maybe). But I do have a hot pair of black Sachi sort of classic peeps for when they are needed and a pair of white Bianco classics.

I have not tried attaching a picture before but will try this. These are my Sachi peeps ... if it works.

Okay ... I hope that is righ.

    Christine.

  10. Would that be these? :

With jeans and a pretty top that must be a really fun and sexy look and I expect you looked and felt fabulous..

Yes that is them. Expensive but so nice. As soon as I tried them on it was love. The black sole part is all cushioned and must be about 3mm or 4mm thick. They come with a satin material bag to put them in. I am away on site this week but I have them with me and am thinking of wearing them to the motel restaurant tonight (it it 5:35 p.m. and just sitting here alone in the motel room now after driving back into town from the site--still with boots on). They are just about perfect with jeans (Colorado light blue jeans).

I seriously love the colour of the heels in your picture. I am into blue. I have a blue Toyota RAV 4. But I am not really that into full platforms and also I prefer shoes where the heel does not go down at such a sharp angle. I try to find heels that have a less sharp angle heel at the start.

Also I am sorry for saying 'do-me' heels because some people did not like it but that is what we all call them in my group of friends. I will be more careful.

    Sorry, Christine.

  11. Apart from having to find parking in the city and then having the crappy traffic jams getting out of the city the two days of training last week were great and getting to wear heels in the city again was seriously awesome. With working on site since the start of the year I had sort of forgotten the excitement of wearing heels to work even if it was just training. Even just having them on sitting down during the training sessions was special. I ended up wearing jeans both days with these new PeepToe heels I had bought the Saturday before at Galleria. Even though they are PeepToe brand they are not peep toe style heels. They are semi-plat sandals with cross over blue toe straps and a white cross over ankle strap. They were $275 but so worth it. I loved them as soon as I tried them on and then once I had bought them that sort of made my mind up to wear jeans with them because to me they are more jeans sort of heels. There were 14 guys and 12 girls at the training and only 5 of us were wearing do-me heels. Christine.

  12. I will be going in to work in the city in the Central Park building for two days next week (Mon and Tues) and the thought of getting to wear heels in an office for a change (I normally work on site and have to wear safety boots) is exciting. I can't wait. It is basically two days of training so I will be stuck in a training room most of the time but there are morning and afternoon breaks and a 1 hour lunch break where I can go down and get coffee and lunch. It is autumn here but not cold. Days are 25C. Trying to decide if to wear jeans, which sort of seems more correct for just training, or a skirt and then I can work out which heels to wear. It is Saturday tomorrow and I am going over to the Galleria in Morley to see what new heels are around. If I buy somehing then that might help me make up my mind about jeans or skirt. But anyway ... excited about getting to wear heels into the city again even if it is only for two days. Christine.

  13. I love when I see a girl in the mall wearing some really high heels! I would also respectfully say to all women out there that putting on a pair of heels instantly makes you up from like a 7 to a 9 just like that.

I am not that into "really high heels". I prefer to wear heels I can walk around in but I hope this upgrade works for 4" heels too

  14. I am a bit late writing something to this but I have only recently joined. For me heels are for sure sexual. I can recall reading in one of the mags, probably Cosmo as that is the one I get most regular, that high heels are the sexiest clothes a woman can put on (rather then take off) and can wear anywhere in public that she wants to, even to church or funerals or work or just shopping. After about 8 years of wearing heels I still get a nice sexy feeling when putting them on. Christine.

  15. I only just saw this section here or I would have tried filling it in before.

    Name: Christine

    Age: 22 (23 in July)

    Gender: Female

    Location: Perth Australia

Occupation: Currently doing Document Control (assisting mostly), but was employed to do Technical Documentation (in the IT group). Want to get into OCM (Organisational Change Management because my best friend does that and she makes more money ).

    Height: 168 cms (about 5'6")

Weight: 57 kilo (trying to get back down to 54, I used to cycle a lot but not so much in the last couple of years, need to get back into it)

    Shoe size: 38 (7-7.5)

What's your favourite heel style: Stiletto

What's your favourite shoe style: Changes but I had thing about slides in my teens and I still think slides are seriously sexy but they are hard to wear (my heel just never seems to stay on the heel properly). Not into full platforms that much but semi-plats are okay (with up to 1/2" of platform). My current favourites are a pair of orange C'est Bon that are sort of slides but they have a heel cup that keeps my heels in place. Sort of the perfect slides in a way. I have them on in the posting picture.

Do you wear your heels outside: Totally ... any excuse.

    What is:

    (a) Your favourite heel height: It varies with the shoe but about 4".

( Your highest heel height: Had to go measure them ... a pair of Tony Bianco semi-plat nude (skin coloured) peep toes ... 5.5"

    How often do you wear:

    (a) Your favourite heel height: Any excuse and often without an excuse.

(:( Your highest heel height: Rarely. I have only worn the Bianco heels out three times.

Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes: Mostly always bare feet. Like most teens I have done the stockings and garter thing a few times and in winter I sometimes were hose. Not that it gets really that cold in Perth (never goes below zero centigrade at night and days never even get under about 15C (60F)).

Anything else you wish to add: Lately I have a thing about going grocery shopping in heels. It's kind of exciting. I take all new heels grocery shopping at least once. Makes grocery shopping even something to look forward to sort of.

Sorry for the bolding and underlining ... but documentation is what I do and it seemed to need it :D

    Christine.

  16. I didn't push any of the voting buttons because there is not one there that says "I am not sure". I have not seen guys wearing heels for real except for a couple of times messing around at parties back in my teens and in photographs. But why do guys wear heels? I wear heels to look and feel sexy but I am not sure why guys want to wear them. I am guessing it is not because they want to look sexy? Christine.
