  1. I think i check those pumps out in Myer recently. Great to see we can still get a great heel without a platform.

I think you could wear them anywhere _ how about a nice street cafe on a Sat morning _ i'm sure you will get planty of admiring looks.

    Cheers

Yes … part of what I liked about them was that they are not platforms … and the awesome colour. You probably did see them at Myers because I got them at Myers at Galleria.

A street café is a really awesome idea and it is ages since Alise and I have been over to Leederville for a coffee on a Saturday morning but I might get to show them off for the first time before that because I brought them down to site with me and a few of us are sort of thinking of going over to Bunbury tomorrow night for dinner. If we do go I am pretty sure I will wear them even though I don’t know what place we are going to go to yet.

    Christine.

  2. On Thursday evening after I got back from site Alise and I went late night shopping to Galleria at Morely and I saw these awesome blue heels. They were Basque and I have never bought a pair of these before. I have seen Basque ankle boots and flats (1” heels) before but these were the first sexy stiletto type heels I had seen of this brand in the shops. I loved the colour mostly and they did not scrunch my toes up as much at the red peep toes do. Also they are not platforms and they were marked down from $245 to $185. How could I resist :) I think they go okay with jeans and they should look good with a skirt now that the weather is starting to get warmer. Christine.

  3. I actually bought a pair of Peep Toes recently _plain black single sole courts with about a 11cm heel. Really good fit and very comfy.

    Cheers from Perth

Yes my blue and white Peep Toes sandals are the best fitting heels I have ever bought and they were the first Peep Toe brand shoes for me because of the cost compared to what I normally buy. Because they were so good I bought the red actual Peep Toes but for some reason the red peeps are not as good fitting. One thing is that they are tighter across the toes. But they are still awesome to wear.

    Christine.

  4. Wow. Somebody from Perth. Hi.

I feel a bit better now. I have had a small nap then a really nice long hot shower and I am sitting here in my Bad Kitty pink and white pyjamas wearing my blue and white heels and eating a Drumstick ice cream. Eating ice cream wearing my favourite heels after a nice shower and I can almost forget I have a cold. For a little while anyway.

Alise is due home at about 2:00 and she is bringing Red Rooster for lunch. I probably shouldn’t have had the ice cream but I opened the freezer and there it was :-)

    Christine.

  5. This is what bored people home alone with a cold do … I have changed my avatar. It still is my blue and white Peep Toe sandals that are still my favourites even though I have bought a seriously sexy pair of red Peep Toes and pair of blue Basque pumps since. The blue and white peep sandals fit my feet as if they were made just for me and they are so light and the large middle do-up strap holds my foot in without my toes having to get squished up by the front staps. I so wish I had bought two pairs when I got them. One pair to wear anytime and one to keep for special. Christine

  6. So not fair. I am home alone with a cold feeling miserable. Alise and I were planning a high heels adventure out to the local craft markets this morning (Saturday in Australia) because it is so long since I got to wear heels out anywhere. They have the local craft markets up here in the hills next to Perth on the first Saturday of every month and we thought it would be different and fun to go wearing heels. It is all paved and there are places to sit and coffee shops around. I had been looking forward to it all week while at work down at site but then on the Thursday afternoon this cold started and by the time I was driving back from site in the evening I fully had the cold. It is so unfair to get a cold over the weekend. Alise has gone to watch her new boyfriend at cricket training and I am just sitting in my little home office feeling miserable because I got tired of lying in bed watching boring morning television. Sorry. Not a very interesting post but I am bored. Christine.

  7. Most times I would log in about once a day. When I am down at site, like now, I usually log in sometime between getting back to the motel unit and going to bed which would be between about 5:00 and 9:00 (Perth Western Australia time). When I am working from home which is usually Mondays and Fridays I might log in a few times during the day if I get bored with work and want to do something else. I am usually on my own in the unit when working from home unless Alise decides to take a day off from her work. Unless work is really interesting then it can get seriously boring. Also now I have bought an Iconia pad PC and sometimes go on the internet when in bed at night when I am home. Sometimes this includes a quick look at this site to see what is going on. I mostly do not stay logged on for very long. Mostly it is just a quick check because I am usually also checking other sites of friends or friends Facebook pages. Christine.

  8. Yes by semi-plat I mean about a 1cm platform. My current total favourites my blue and white peeps are about 1cm. Even my red PeepToes are only slightly over 1cm. I tried to find a picture on my phone that shows the platform better. I am away at site and don’t have them with me or I could have just taken a picture with my phone of them flat on a table or something. Everyone is different but I think that higher platforms start to look a bit odd and are not as sexy and they are not as steady to walk in. I have worn my blue and white peeps trolley shopping but I don't see myself wearing 3 or 4cm platform heels trolley shopping. Christine.

  9. I know this is not really that interesting but I wanted to post something. It was Father’s Day here on Sunday. Our family ‘tradition’ is to go to a park up near Mundaring Weir in the hills and do either a picnic or a barbeque, but this Sunday was supposed to be overcast and wet (and it was) and also the local council have sort of ruined the park by doing some upgrades with bitumen roads and marked parking. Now you can’t get to the best areas anymore and have to carry stuff too far. So we ended up deciding to do a brunch (breakfast and lunch for those that don’t know) at mum and dad’s instead. Because I have had almost no excitement from wearing heels for about three weeks I decided to wear my new red heels. I wore them with jeans so it was not too over done for a Father’s Day brunch. It was a bit awkward being in heels while I was helping with preparing some of the food and taking it out to the pergola, (there are steps into the pergola and the pergola paving is not very even any more). I was determined to keep them on even though my mother told me twice I should take them off before I fell over. But I am really very steady in heels and it was okay once we all sat down to eat. I even played a couple of games of darts later and even playing ‘boring’ darts is much more exciting wearing sexy red heels. Christine

  10. All the Spring/Summer heels in the shops that are not black, white, or ‘nude’ seem to be at least 2cm platforms. In Perth Western Australia anyway. Wanting the excitement of buying a new pair of heels yesterday after getting back from site I went late night shopping at the Galleria in Morley but really did not see anything that excited me enough to even want to even try them on. So sad. Platforms everywhere. Some of the wedges (not that I am that into wedges either) have totally silly platforms. I am seriously not into full platforms but I don’t mind semi-plats. My current most favourite heels ever are semi-plats. Alise and I have decided to go to Garden City on Saturday. I am sort of thinking about something in a pastel blue or even pastel pink. Something that will go with jeans. I prefer open styles but don’t like busy strappy shoes with thin webby sort of strapping. I will let you know if I find something. Christine.

  11. I don’t have any glitter heels. I am more into the ‘plain’ but seriously sexy looking heels. The closest I have to glitter heels is a pair of sort of metallic blue sling backs that I don’t wear a lot anymore (because they sort of don't go with the jeans and heels look). Christine.

  12. If it bothers you that much, purchasing new favorites may be in order although that can be a bit like abandoning a best friend.

I like wearing these heels so much I actually have thought about getting another pair. Then I could wear this pair as much as I liked without being worried about them getting marked because I had the other pair put away. But Peep Toe don’t have them anymore and they are not at Style Tread. On the Westfield site is says Product No Longer Available. Doing an internet search only finds the pink/Coral coloured ones which I don’t really like and I could not find them in 7.5/38 anyway.

I am wondering because they were so popular if there is any chance that Peep Toe will do them again this summer otherwise I guess I will just have to take good care of the pair I have.

    Christine.

  13. The sad thing about wearing my new heels is that they get marked and scuffed:cry1:. Yesterday evening when I got back from site Alise and I decided to get take away for dinner (chicken tortellini) and I decided to wear my blue&white heels when we went out to get it. I had just driven 2 hours back from site in work boots and had been in work boots all week so I really needed to wear sexy heels for a little while. Later after dinner when I was taking them off I noticed how much the soles were marked and scuffing on the side of the heel and the white on the sides. It’s sad that my beautiful favourite heels are getting marked and ‘old’ and really I have not actually worn them that much. I know there is shoe paint and scuff pencils or using a rubber and I have those but it is just that my awesome shoes are getting marked. Even all the stone dents and scratches on the soles look horrid. Sob … Christine … working from home today.

  14. I have only had three serious boyfriends and as far as I know none of them were that into me wearing heels. I cannot remember any of them ever actually asking me to wear heels for them. But almost always when going out I wear heels anyway if I knew there was not too much standing or walking going to be happening. So they wouldn’t need to ask me to wear them. I sort of go for guys that are a little nerdy and intelligent and I am thinking that maybe they are not the kind of guys that are seriously into sexy heels, or maybe I have just not found one that is yet. Christine.

  15. Alise and I went shopping at Midland Gate this afternoon and I wore my new seriously red peeps. Attached (if I got it right) are a couple of pictures by Alise with her 'real' camera (as she calls it) before we left. After wearing them around for a while they felt like a better fit than I thought when I first tried them on after unpacking them and did a couple of little test walks around the unit. The toes are no where near as scrunched as I thought they would be and although they don't have as much padding under the ball of the foot as the blue&whites they seemed okay. We only spent about 45 minutes down there (Alise was after a new cover for her phone) and about 15 minutes of that was sitting down having a coffee, but they did not feel that bad at all. It was seriously exciting walking around Midland Gate on a Sunday in those red heels even if Alise decided to wear boring 2" ankle boots (because it was cold, overcast, and looked like it might rain). Christine.

  16. Is it a pump? What height is the heel?

They would be about a 4" heel. I love the high gloss red.

    http://www.styletread.com.au/miss-soho-red.html

When I got home from site I made myself wait until after having tea and having a shower before opening them up. From just a little try on last night they don't seem to have as good toe ball padding as my blue and white heels from Peep Toe but also they didn't feel as scrunchy for my toes as I remembered from the ones I tried on in the shop. So that was good.

Now to think of somewhere to wear them this weekend although I think we are supposed to have a wet weekend in Perth. Have to be somewhere indoors.

    Christine.

  17. I ended up getting these heels on the internet and they are my first ever purchase of heels on the internet but I had tried the exact same style on. I would have bought them from the shop if they had the red. I am currently away on site working and don’t go back home until tomorrow evening but I know they have arrived because Alise sms’d me to tell me. So now going back tomorrow evening is even more exciting. They were a little bit scrunchy at the toes when I tried them on in the shop but I am sort of hoping they might stretch a little bit at the toes. But in the end I just could not resist getting them even though I thought about it for about three weeks. Also it must be at least three months since I bought my current favourites so that is pretty good really. Now I have to try and think of somewhere to wear them …because I can’t wear them to work. Maybe I need to change jobs and get work back in the city :irked: Christine.

  18. Yes … so totally awesome and as others have said here they really are almost magical in a way. When I worked in the city I wore heels every day but now I don’t get a lot of chances to wear heels out so that has sort of makes it even more special getting to wear heels and today (Saturday in Perth Australia) I wore my current favourite heels to an afternoon coffee catch up at Leederville. I was very conscious I was wearing heels and it was seriously exciting even with having to watch out for the crappy paving in Leederville. One of the things about heels is that you can wear heels anywhere if you want to (if you are a girl anyway). This makes them even more exciting and I try to think of interesting different places to wear heels ... like a coffee afternoon with friends in Leederville :-) Christine

  19. I picked--I'm a girl and I think we are experiencing some of the same things.

In three words for me heels are fun, exciting, and sexy. Also I am a shy person and wearing heels makes me so much less shy. Putting on heels is like taking an instant anti-shy drug. They add some colour to grey and boring things, and, obviously, they make me taller. A couple of months ago I wore my current favourites (which I had just bought then) to a 2 day document control training workshop and they made a normally boring 2 days a lot more exciting and fun (even if only for me). There is nothing I can think of that I could have worn that would have worked like wearing heels. It is not like I could have worn a hot party dress to a 2 day training workshop but I can wear heels and even with kind of boring jeans they are still fun, exciting, and sexy.

I have never known a guy who was into wearing high heels and I can’t imagine any of the guys I know wearing heels, but I don’t think most guys wear heels for fun, or to look and feel sexy, or to add some colour to otherwise grey and boring events. I am really sure heels don’t make guys feel less shy. Also I doubt most guys wear heels to be taller. I think they do it mainly because it is exciting for them because it is sort of against the rules and also maybe there are some guys who have a strong feminine side.

So as far as I can work out guys wear heels for small part of the same reason but for other different reasons too. If it were shown as a ‘set’ diagram (remember those from school?) then I think that the girl’s and guy’s sets would overlap about a quarter but the rest would be different … If you know what I mean.

I hope this does not sound silly. It took me about two hours to think it over and key it before posting it. This is what happens when you let someone who does documentation for their work into the forum. I almost needed to put heels on before sending it to give me the confidence :irked:

    Christine

  20. OMG … 500 pairs of heels. Where does she keep them? You must have converted a whole bedroom into a shoe room or something. Does she usually have a favourite pair that she wears most of the time? As much as I love heels I cannot imagine ever having 500 pairs. Christine.

  21. I finally got around to trying on the Soho Peeps yesterday (Sat). They did not have the red ones but I tried on the Navy ones. They do scrunch my toes a bit more than I like but otherwise the fit was as good as my blue and white Peeps. They felt very sexy on. In a way it would have been easier if they were a totally bad fit because now I am still trying to make up my mind if I should get them. If I do want them I will have to get them from the internet which will be my first ever shoes from the internet. Christine.
