  1. This thigh boots are awesome 8) wonder where she got those from?

I didn't want to create another celebrity-related boot thread, so I had to ask on here; unless a moderator wants to separate my post? Britney Spears performed at the MTV awards in a stunning pair of really high heeled (5" maybe?) suade knee boots. While the performance was reported to be "dissappointing", the boots from what I've seen online (very shadowy pictures) were really something else! Does anyone have a large-ish picture which shows them better? This is something different for me because I've always preferred leather or the crocodile effect boots better.

    Thanks!

  2. I've often seen various Evan's boots on eBay, various styles and all, but often the seller lists the "Essence" title with them too.

I'm sure if I spent more time around actual shops I'd be able to add 2 and 2 to make 4, instead of 9 ;)

So why Evans and Essence in the same listing?

That is a perfect example, and a nice pair of boots too!

  3. Just saw a decent pic of Britney Spears in these calf-length brown boots. The caption said nothing about them at all.

No zips, pull up boots indeed. How do they stay up, don't look that tight unless they are made of a rigid material but surely they wouldn't be comfy then?

Anyone know anything about these boots, made by who & where from?

    Interesting stuff!

PS: and no before anyone asks, the link text is mis-guiding, there are no topless shots or anything else like that on the page.

  4. I have heard much about this "The Little Shoe Shop", quite a few pair of patent knee boots that I've seen on eBay have been bought from there. They looked great and the patent ones featured are certainly no exception! I must say though, that I am more partial to the Nine West boots. Although they are somewhat more what you'd see in an office or on the streets, there is just something about them that I like..? Possibly the blade heels, I love the look of them, plus I've tried walking in them and don't have much trouble doing so. I have Yahoo IM but it would be very interesting to talk to someone such as this Bootmistress. It won't happen though as I don't think I'd be too happy either for random people adding themselves to my IM list when-ever they felt like it! But hey if she reads this and doesn't mind, well thats great! ;)

  5. Sounds a brilliant buy, $15, fantastic! You'd be hard pushed to get a lower price on that anywhere I reckon. Maybe this deserves a "cheapest pair of nice boots" thread! I saw a wonderful pair of boots which one of my colleages was wearing on tuesday. Knee length brown leather with perhaps a 3 1/2" rounded chunky heel. They had the mid-length zip, and a ring of metal small studs going around the boots perhaps 5-6" from the top of the boot. I wish I could have got the nerve to ask where she got them from, they really were a nice pair of boots indeed.

  6. A very close friend of mine in the US has told me about a new pair of boots she bought about a month ago, and is actively encouraging me to get myself a pair of them too!

Its a bit of a strange situation for me to be in, and I would certainly try to get a pair, if we had Spiegel stores over here in the UK. I have emailed the contact point on the website, but no reply so far unfortunately. I am already trawling eBay for the boots from the site but I doubt I'll find anything on there, although I did see a woman at work with a pair of boots very similar indeed....

For the record, here they are: http://www.spiegel.com/shop/product_single.aspx?tool=t1&f=b&Ntt=boots&N=0&Nty=1&D=boots&style_id=13306030&No=0&Ntk=alltext

Moderate 3" stilleto heel with a zip which goes mid-way up, according to her they are very comfy indeed!

It would be nice if I could find a matching style here though, all searches so far have turned up nothing...

  7. The first boots I ever owned (and still have, stashed away in a box) were a pair of platform knee length boots. The platform is 3/4 of an inch thick, and the heel its 4 3/4 inches high, and they are very chunky indeed.

    http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/balacau/Misc%20stuff/misc/black3.jpg

This is the picture I saved from ebay of the boots themselves.

I understand that super-massive platforms (and wedges for that matter) can look hideous. I have a friend who has a pair of white Demonia Stack-301 I believe they are called, which the highest point on the wedge-heel is about 6 3/4 inches? Although she's already 5'10 but hey I don't mind that at all! And I dont think she minds either, although she fell down the stairs with them on a couple of days ago and hasn't mentioned them since...

As for my boots, perhaps many people in here would think they are really horrible, but perhaps its more than just a style thing for me as these were the first pair of boots (I dont have any shoes) I ever owned and wore. Just makes me think there is something very special about them, its like they have sentimental value.

  8. Thanks for the reply ;) Since I posted this, I remember when Kylie Minogue was showing off those infamous silver thigh boots, they didn't zip right up to the tops either, but without having some pictures to hand of those boots I can't quite remember how high they went. One way of getting around the problem of having a full length zip with the current fashion trend of "pirate boots" is to have the zip placed at the back. I've seen this a few times mostly on calf-high and suede boots; I have not observed alot of these however. The Bronx Duran boots had this mid-height zip and I'm still looking to get myself a pair of those if possible. :o

  9. Agreed, but she might want to be careful too. Leading someone into making more comments is entrapment really. Its best to stay away from those situations. Plus where I work, sending such attachments via email would be considered misuse of company assets, and you'd probably be sacked (the sender of the material that is)... By not replying, I'm figuring you did yourself a big favour.

  10. Maybe someone can provide some answers for this one! Over the last month or so, I've seen quite alot of knee boots on the streets with zips which go up to either the heigh of the calf, or the ankle. Some of these have been the fold-over boot design, but most have not. Does this zip design have any particular benefit over the more conventional full-length zip which most knee boots still feature? Just curious.

  11. I really hope so! While there isn't anything wrong with stilleto heel boots in my humble opinion, I really prefer the look of chunky heels better, even sculpted ones for that matter.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280066156483&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:UK:1

I found these Bronx boots on eBay in my size, I don't intend to bid on them though! They look great in my view, but I don't see why they should be called "pirate" boots...

What about the rest of the UK, or anywhere else for that matter? Have chunky heels started turning up in more places or is this just an isolated case?

  12. Well I don't own any high heel shoes but as I have a few pairs of boots, I can semi-contribute!

My most expensive purchase was $170 US for the boots in the pic below, they were bought from the well-known Ellie Shoes (actually the site PierreSilber but they came in an Ellies Shoes box for some reason.

    http://www.super-sexy-high-heels.com/images/Boots/ROXY.jpg

Of course out of the $170, at least $60 of that was for shipping and packaging. And how do the boots fit? They are great, easy and comfy to walk around in. The heels are 5" with just below a 2" platform, and made from a resilient but soft-ish rubber. Perfect for the winter inside I think!

The Slave Trainer boots that used to be sold on the same site vanished pretty quickly though, they were awesome boots...

  13. In Star Trek: Deep Space 9, there were some episodes where Nana Visitor/Major Kira had an "evil opposite" who was usually clad in what I vaguely remember as either glossy leather or PVC. I'm pretty sure she wore high stilleto heel knee boots as well. The first episode of Star Trek - The Next Generation featured Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) wearing something which many seem to describe as a cheerleaders outside, with a pair of medium heel black boots.

  14. I didn't get the chance to talk to the woman in these stunning pair of boots though, but she's part of a new management team which has taken over a small part of my large open-plan office. As a result she passed my work area quite a bit and I got a fair view of these great boots.

A search on eBay came up with something remarkably similar, its always amazing the sheer range of styles that eBay has on it!: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ladies-brown-leather-lace-up-boots_W0QQitemZ270060770190QQihZ017QQcategoryZ53557QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

In fact I wouldn't be suprised if they were these boots, worn with a grey-ish just above knee length skirt and a black top. Looked very authoritive I must say! Seems alot of places are selling combination lace & zip boots right now, walked through Marks & Spencers a couple of days ago and saw quite a few shelves full of them - although I wasn't too sure about the style of those ones!

  15. I'm a straight guy who wears high heeled boots indoors only. To be perfectly honest I find it relaxing. If there is a late night movie on, and I have the house to myself, I will often watch even rubbish movies, have some coffee and a small meal with boots on - while watching the TV or surfing the net etc. I first started to wear them because I was intensely curious as to how it fel to have your heel so far above the rest of your foot, and to find out how easy or hard it was to walk in them! After the first pair of boots, I was hooked, and the rest is history. At least in my case, wearing boots is just different from what I normally wear. Maybe thats why I find it so appealing....

  16. In actual fact one of the reasons why I started wearing high heel boots was to understand more of the pain element of heel wearing. I don't get excited by a woman complaining that her feet are hurting due to her heels, in fact I admire them more for the simple reason they are wearing them in the first place! And yet I have to say I have heard very few complaints concerning women in heels. One particular complaint I overheard was someone I work with. She has a pair of brown knee length boots, made by Bronx. They were on the schuh.co.uk website but I've just looked through what they have now and the "Duran" boots have vanished. The heels were about 3 1/4" block style, she complained that they hurt her feet after doing alot of walking. And yet regularly wears 4" stilleto ankle boots without a problem!? Very odd but that could be for many reasons. As I said before, I don't particularly enjoy that the boots hurt her feet, I just admire the fact she continues to wear them (and they sure look great on her).

  17. Thes type of threads are always an interesting read. I don't think I can really add much if anything to the posts above but my caffeine starved mind started working when I saw the thread title on the menu page! :D

Do I really think that male high-heel wearing will take off?

Well you can never tell anything about fashion, and thats really how I see it. Fashion recycles itself around although I do not really see the platform boots that men wore in the late 60's and 70's as being "high heels" as such. Just as the younger generation are associated with trouble (I know this from peoples own misguided comments at me), high heels are associated only with women. The media of all sorts really doesn't help with this issue at all.

    Spamming?

Can't say I've ever had any problems like that, no spam personal emails at least. If you really want to see how spam has destroyed a message board, you should take a look around Yahoo Groups. I was a member of no less than 13 of those groups who now use a pay-to-use site which has no trouble with spam at all. Unfortauntely they moved without me following them (since I won't use a pay-to-use site) and I figured it was just time for me to move on from there.

Me in heels outside of the home

Can't see this will ever happen. The furthest I got was cutting the grass in a pair of block 3 3/4" knee boots tucked under jeans; in the back garden when I knew my neighbour was away for a few days and I knew that no one would see. Did I enjoy it? Sure. But I think its more along the lines of being something I couldn't normally do. I would like to find out what its like to spend a full 9 hour shift at work in 4" heels but I'm not under any illusions about that ever happening - plus since I'll be moving to a more formal job with dress code etc soon anyway - it never will happen. Period, but hey there are some things in life which just can't be done by me (and others), so I don't complain. I find wearing heels relaxing...simple enough really!

    And finally; general board thoughts

I have learned a serious amount about myself and my fetish since I joined this place, and there really isn't a way which I can thank people enough for sharing their information & experiences. I grew up thinking I was strange and alone with my intense liking for boots - not because of other people because no-one else knew about it - but because of lack of information. No-one else ever said that they were interested in them, at least no-one male. Once I got the internet however, I found there was quite a few people like myself with a liking for heeled boots - a few were self-confessed Cross Dressers, but hey if that floats your boat & makes you happy, go for it.

As for me, I'm quite happy sitting in boots or walking around the house when I'm home alone (even making my dinner in 5" heel boots), even watching a movie with a cup of tea and a pot noodle  Its relaxing :D

True on the point there are few women here, I love to hear what they think about heels etc, and its true that I often read the "for gals only" board although I don't post on it; simply because its very interesting to see things from a different point of view including things which I either ignored or had never considered in the first place.

  18. Nice and clear vid clip, thanks for sharing! To be honest I'm quite astounded by how quiet walking around in those heels seems to be, although that could be for so many reasons! Nice boots too :D I also saw the zip & lace up boots on another link (showed up on the menubar on the right hand side of the screen. Those were really great, is there any chance in knowing about the boots (heel height, where bought, etc)?

  19. Hrm..makes for good reading that does :D Except they forgot something: what comes after autumn? Maybe city dwellers are ok with the fact they might not have to cross places which have lots of ice, but some country folk like myself face that every winter. Although chunky heels are more to my liking, there are some stilleto style boots which quite take my fancy (the old Faith "Reeve" calf boots being one of them). I was really hoping chunky heels might make an apearence myself! I have seen a few more of them around than I did last year so I guess there is still some hope

  20. I was going to post something of my own experiences and advice but I think its already been said above; and far better than I could ever write it! A forum like this is a really educational place, and like yourself I have & had to sneak pairs of boots (boot fetishist here) past my eagle-eyed mom who really doesnt like them one bit. I'm not interested in skirts, under-clothes or even shoes, but boots are a big thing for me. I love the feel of them, and the height of the heel, plus the noise they make on the concrete tiled floor of the kitchen (chunky heels only). In actual fact, they have another use. During the last few weeks, things have been pretty remorseless and tense at work with quite a few redundancies and staff posts being moved etc; a very high state of tension exists everywhere you go on the site. So when I am home alone, I slip on a pair of boots and the relaxation I feel is.......well quite out of this world! You might say its theraputic in some ways..... Plus I'm not harming my health by binge drinking like most people in my office seem to, which also saves me money! See? Another advantage. As for the buy & replace cycle, well I didnt realise it but I have been there too. At one stage I had no less than 13 pairs of high heeled boots, most of them were knee highs and took up alot of space. Now I have just 6 pairs but there is a chaince that could be going up to 8 eventually. But getting rid of your shoes etc will not make the fetish go away, itll always be there. Its part of what makes you an "individual", and there isnt anything wrong with that at all.

  21. Shame it wasn't her former Spice-Girl colleage Emma Bunton. She had those trademark white platform knee boots which I found rather breath-taking! Maybe if it was her designing boots and stuff, the platform style might come back again and I'd be happier

And just for those who dont know what she looks like or her boots etc, I figured I'd google around for a pic and here we go:

    Posted Image

It seems finding a picture of those white boots is quite a hard thing to do these days since she changed her "image", although where she got them from or who made them, I'd love to know!
