  1. I think she's good looking, and she dresses to accentuate her features. There may be more to this than there first appears. However, there was apparently a visit to HR. If the story was as she claimed, she had to go to HR, not that they're going to help, but you have to check the "I went to HR" box. You have to exhaust all the facilities that are ostensibly there for your protection. Maybe there was some sort of personality conflict and the managers set her up. Just because someone becomes a manager, doesn't mean s/he knows how to handle people. Have to wait and see how this unfolds.

  2. "Nothing" is the only choice that isn't creepy, unless you can wear her shoes and she lets you. Even then, I don't see how asking her mother works. "Mrs. Smith, Jane said I could wear her heels while she's in Europe." Not so much.

  3. Hi Cinammon,

What a wonderful word 'twerp' is!!

Before I start my post, let me just say that most ALL the guys here are polite and respectful towards women...and they also appreciate our comments and advice about heels/fashion etc. As with most things in life, it's the selfish and small minded few who can tarnish things for the rest of us.

    Now to my point.

I've just seen your post and I feel for you...it's happened to me here (just twice) and elsewhere online. It also happens outside in the real world too.

What's even worse, is that it's increasingly more common that it is young guys (like..late teens) that 'hit' on me IRL, and whilst it can be flattering on occasions, when I tell them I'm married, some of them just come on even stronger, making it very clear what they are after!!

Where are MORALS and MANNERS and self control these days? I mean, I LOVE wearing high heels, and I do so as often as I can. I have the right to do so without harrassment. However, it still seems to be the case, that men look at girls in high heels as 'easy meat' (Oh how I loathe that expression....), especially the 'cocky' younger lads these days. Well, in this country they do anyway......

Maybe it's my figure (I'm a curvy lady), maybe it's my long blonde hair, maybe it's my short skirts and very high heels.....maybe we are back to the 'old chestnut' of education vs. conditioning...

Guys, you can look and not touch......especially if there's a large rock on my third finger, but I'm very happy with looks!

Manners and politeness are going to get you much further in life, than brash 'cockiness' and 'attitude' - a generally accepted excuse for bad manners nowadays.

    Does this answer the question??

With some people, anything that is not buzz off means keep trying, and being polite does not work.

  4. Oh, yeah, shoes,... I like pumps and maryjanes; pointed, round and peep toes. Simple, clean lines. Sometimes a small platform, what used to be called a crepe sole, otherwise single sole. Medium to high heels, nicely shaped, very thin. Never clunky or bizarre.

  5. I went to Dillard's site and had no trouble finding looks I liked. The hardest part was paring it back to five images. One thing you can't get from the pictures is texture. Soft is always a plus. I like knit dresses a lot.

  6. The "why?" of this phenomenon would make a great topic for the next book in the freakonomics series

And the "whether?" I saw heels go up early in the last decade and stay up. The 80s were also a good decade for heels. I'm not ready to buy it yet (the theory; of course I'll buy the heels).

  7. It's quite hard to walk, probably due to the fact i haven't got any shoes between 4 and 7.6" of heel...

I'm going to search some 5.5 or 6" I think...

I bought "extreme" style of shoes just to test, it's already impossible to go out in France on 4" heel, so, on 7...

I'd ike to find a pair of sumer shoes, but i've got no idea of what buying...

How about a pair of white pointed toe pumps with 5" heels?

  8. I could probably deal with most of the inconveniences that Maximilian has used in his opening thread, if there was a chance to get the heels depicted by my avatar, which have been forever on my wish list. One pair would not be enough. I'd still want to find them in other colors and materials after I had bought all the patent leather colors. So, if any one sees a pair of court shoes with an A-Line vamp cut and stiletto heels as shown by my avatar, let me know through any means available.

Don't know all your requirements, but these are available from Sexy Shoes:

    http://www.sexyshoes.com/p-255-4211-best-in-her-class.aspx

They come in patent and smooth, and are available in large sizes, in which the heels go up to 5".

    Oh, you need wide width?

    http://www.sexyshoes.com/p-418-4214-wide-width-pump.aspx

Fewer colors, but still some good choices.

I have several pairs and will never part with them.

  9. I wont say anything about the Polish except there is no Polish restaurant in the world's second largest Polish (populated) city, they wear clunky heels at best, and love bright plaid!

If you go to downtown Chicago, you will see very attractively dressed women, and some of them will be wearing heels. Skyscraper Heels is there, too. Somebody's wearing them.

If you go to the suburbs, you will see the same picture you see in most northern suburbs.
