  1. ya not really my cup of tea either. I wouldnt pay such an obscene amount of money for them either unless they were custom made just for my foot and didnt look like that. Oh well, apparently a lot of people like them and are willing to pay that, as the 15bidders would suggest. did you bid on them?

  2. So I called 2 shops about this. one said they couldnt do it straight away, the other said to come in and he'd take a look and let me know. He said he could do it, but it would cost around $100, the material wasnt going to be a perfect match and he said even if he got the measurements right it would probably slouch. He said I probably shouldnt try it. It was a real disapointment as there are so few "normal" pairs of thigh high boots out there. Ive only ever seen one or two wedge pairs on ebay in the past and Ive never actually seen a pair in any store. Every now and again you see pointy toe stilleto ones or really kinky platform styles....but nice, appropriate wedge or low heeled thigh high boots remain a rareity.

  3. Theres an awesome aldo outlet store on robson (i believe...someone currently local might prove me wrong tho) where I bought an awesome (although, unfortunately too small) pair of knee high boots. I have spent many hours walkin downtown vancouver admiring shoe stores and there is plenty of great stuff... -terayon p.s. hey hjt101, thanks again for showin me the above mentioned shops on my trip out there like 2 years ago. hope all's well.

  4. thanks Its nice to know it can be done...now if i could only just work up the nerve to actually walk into a store and ask the dude to do it ;) The other thing id be worried about is being able to match the color...if i do it i think ill ask for a swatch of the material he'll be using so i can take it home and see if it matches any of my pairs first. any idea on the cost of something like this?

  5. RPMindy, which pair of pumps are you talking about? the pointy toe one or the one with the chunky heel? The chunky ones actually started out as a pair of aldo boots but they were a bit too small and uncomfortable so i cut off the shaft as an experiment and they actually look and feel pretty nice i think. the pointy ones are too small and i never wear....im going to get around to selling a lot of these off as most are in fact too small....i just havent gotten around to it yet

  6. Thanks guys Ive been busy with life, school. girlfriend, sports etc for the past year or so....still collecting heels whenever i get the money, but my time for internet activities has dwindled to virtual non-existance :s Hopefully Ill have time to post a bit more in the coming weeks/months.. The pointy pumps are actually a size 2 small for me, but they were a gift from a former ( i believe, alhtough he may be active, i havent kept up to date on this forum) member of this board who i met up with to go shopping on a trip to vancouver a year or two back...I was looking for a pair of these and he had a pair that never had fit him, unfortunately I didnt try them on before I left, so they are also painfully small for me as well. (unfortunately)

  7. Hey everyone....so i finally got around to getting pictures of my up to date collection.....I tried to start my own thread but for some reason it says that now only moderators can post new topics in this forum (wow, isnt that progress  )

  8. Does anyone know if its possible for a repair shop to sew on additional material to the top of a knee high boot and make it thigh high? extending the zipper does not matter.....For the most part the only thigh high boots I can ever seem to find are fetish styles with wild extravagant heels and shiny vinyl etc... It would be nice to be able to mod some of my more appropriate knee high styles into a thigh high design.... does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this idea?
