  1. let us know how this turns out I've been contemplating a project like this myself for quite some time as well. I was going to try and use some type of rubber to fill in the gap between between the heel and angled sole to make chunky non wedge heels into wedges. Dont know what type of rubber to use for this though so its on the backburner for now.

  2. 4000 people finding their way to, and registering, on a small private board that doesnt advertise and operates on the extreme fringe of current societal norms isnt a bad accomplishment IMO. We may not be mainstream, but we certainly arent alone.

  3. Im a 20 year old straight guy with a girlfriend of 2 years who knows, and doesnt mind my hobby at all. Although Ive never seen another guy wearing heels before, the sheer quantity of members on this board is a testament to the size of our movement. I dont know about you, but I always thought that being gay meant that you liked other guys....not that you liked to wear a particular type of clothing. As long as you like girls then what difference does it make what kind of shoes you wear? I havent yet had the courage to wear any of my heels outside, but I hope someday that I will. Just keep doing what you want and as long as its not hurting anyone else or hindering your progression in school or life then I dont see any harm in i whatsoever.

  4. im in mississauga area.... There are a few guys in the GTA who wear heels....never met any of them myself other than on this board, but Im sure they're out there  Been waiting for someone to organize some type of meet in TO....maybe this winter sometime...im so busy with school though its tough to fit anything into my schedule.....I wish I had the time for the NYC meet as I think itd be less intimidating to be in a city where I didnt know ANYONE...

  5. while Ive certainly noticed a prolific increase in the number of larger size heels available, regretably, most of them are in deplorable styles that I wouldnt wish upon my worst enemy. Oh well, I suppose im not particularly enamoured with most of the current shoes being sold today in stores or online. I have however noticed a fantastic increase in the number of larger listing on ebay in the past few months. there are plenty of size 11/12 shoes/boots listed all the time. certainly a good sign :D

  6. Hey manololover Just wanted to say that I think its awesome that your being so open minded and accepting with your boyfriend. As a fairly young guy who just recently (3-4 months ago) told my girlfriend that I like to wear heels, I can certainly appreciate how akward it can be at first. It sounds like he really likes you a lot and must care about you, or he wouldnt have told you something like this. I know I waited almost a year before telling my girlfriend and it was one of the tougher things I've ever had to do. Like you, she's been pretty cool about it and doesnt seem to mind. Unlike you however she isnt a shoe lover at all....I can barely get her to wear heels, although we're working on that. She randomly went out and bought her first pair just last weekend  I think the most important thing is to just be patient and discuss any concerns you may have with your boyfriend. The more you talk about it and see him wearing heels, the less tabboo the topic will be, and Im sure it will allieviate some of your concerns. I think that just keeping an open line of communication is paramount, the minute eithert one of you suspects the other of hiding something, your both going to be on the defensive and this will only compound the problem. good luck and welcome to the board :D

  7. thats a great sory....always nice to hear about getting compliments from women. I wouldnt have been brave enough to boots, let alone stilleto boots, out to a crowded theatre I was thinking of going to see that movie with my girlfriend....Even with the huge 20+ screen theatres we have scattered all over the place around here, Im not sure where, or if, its playing in my city.

  8. Kris, Isnt it gunna be a little cold to wear those sandals out in toronto for at least the next month or two? :D Hopefully me and my girlfriend are gunna be going downtown to the eatons centre sometime in the next week to buy some new boots....we were even joking around about buying a matching pair of "his and hers" boots.....I know there are a ton of stores in that mall with a lot of shoes....supposedly theres a really good transit store.

  9. I dont really like those shoes at all....not my idea of something "sexy"....but thats just my opinion...she's your wife, and if you think they are sexy, then I think its great you've managed to talk her into getting them. I sorta like the first pair she had chosen for herself.....I'd wear em :D did you find the pairs she liked on ebay?

  10. you will most likely have to use some type of intermediary to complete the transaction on your behalf and then send them to you overseas. Id imagine there are plenty of these around on the net....ive never used any myself so I can neither recommend any nor comment on their legitimacy. Another option is to just get a friend to do it for you.

  11. no offense flavio, but as a longtime linux user myself (at one time for my desktop, now just on serveres and such) I would hardly consider it prudent advice to recommend someone make the jump from windows 98 to linux. The very fact that he's using 98 speaks volumes as to his technical savvy (no offense btw, but seriously, I wouldnt wish 98 on my worst enemy at this point) and familliarity with computers and operating systems in general. Although linux is a wonderful OS if you know what your're doing, for someone who isnt a computer expert, it can be a rediculous headache to say the least. Most people who grew up using an OS with a graphical user interface are absolutely overwhelmed when something on a linux computer stops working and they have to use a command line to enter commands and fix tghe problem manually. and having to download source and compile your own programs is out of the grasp of the common computer user. Although I know what I'm doing on a linux computer, the longest I was ever able to run it as my desktop was like 6 or 7 months....I grew up on windows and missed it too much. I would recommend you upgrade to windows XP, or at least windows2000.....dont worry about the hardware your running....the system requirements are merely recommendations, not actual requirements....as long as you have more than 128mb of ram (might even be 64, I forget), you can install and run XP on almost any PC. I have a 486 from the early 90's downstairs with XP on it right now.....it doesnt do all that much and I wouldnt dare us it to game or do much other than surf the net, but it most certainly works :D

  12. Although none of them are particularly my style, I will certainly say they are quite nice. The Casadei stretch ones are probably my favorite out of the bunch....I'd LOVE them if they had a chunkier or wedge heel....but thats just me (dont really like stilletto's personally) Welcome to the forum and hopefully we can see pictures of the rest of your collection when you get a chance!

  13. who is jason ridder? He doesnt look familiar....what movies has he been in? Although those arent exactly the best style of shoes for a man to be wearing (I think I'd still say they were ugly as sin even if they were being worn by a woman), I would certainly congratulate him on his courage and unfathomable bravery for wearing an outfit like that. I wouldnt have the won-tons to wear that to the gas station, let alone to some type of fancy red-carpet event where you *will* be photographed. Any idea of the context of that event, and what the reaction was to his outfit?

  14. im with scotty on this one.....I like wedge heels the most for sure :D There is certainly an inherent degree of practicality associated with them, plus they just happen to by my preffered style of heel anyways. Only wedges and chunky heels can afford me the degree of mobility to which I have become so accustomed to all my life and still let me wear heels.
