  1. Hi kevin,

Good question. Many years ago I did use the Boot forms that expand out, however I found that they sometimes stretched the elather a bit, and I like very tight fitting Boots on my legs. My solution was to use corrugated cardboard. I roll it so it forms a tube shape and then place that in the shaft of the Boot with tissue paper to keep the foot portion in shape. All our Boots stand straight in the closets and in good shape. Not to mention they look cool! In fact some of the pics of our Boots on the www link below show some of Cathys Boots lined up, in the album Boot closet.

When my partner and I were talking last nite we were discussing moving to Virginia Beach to be closer to his parents. I was concerned about his folks finding out about the heels. He said I have nothing to worry about, they already know I have a fetsh for men's boots. His mom buys me boot figurines all the time and she would just start buying me hiheeled. And she and I would probibly go shopping together for boots for ourselves.

I'm not sure I'm ready to take that step with the inlaws...but it would be cool.

On another note, do you guys use shoe forms in you boots and what do you use to keep the shafts straight and tall when not wearing you're boots?

  2. Hi TBG.....

Yup, it is agreat group of people, can you imagine a room full of all of us!

This morning’s grocery trip was fun. I wore the same black leather knee length skirt, white dress shirt over a black sleeveless turtleneck, long black cardigan sweater, gold and silver two piece earrings Posted Image, and black thigh boots with 5” stiletto heels. Although they aren’t visible, the thigh length stockings feel great with the thigh boots and skirt, and are much more comfortable than panty hose.

As I walked in, one lady, who was leaving, saw me and gave me a smile. After that, one woman customer did a real double take and then returned my smile. I don’t get many honest to gosh double takes. When I got to the register the clerk was a young lady that had seen me before, but it had been a while. She looked interested in (as opposed to scandalized by) what I was wearing so I asked, “What would you change?”

She misunderstood my question and looked me over and said, “Yeah, you have changed”.

“No ... what would you change”?

She looked me over head to toe again and said, “Nothing, you look nice, it works”.

We bid each other a good day and I left.

I was hopping the clerk from yesterday would have been there because I wanted to ask her how she sees what I am doing. I really am curious how the rest of the world sees me.

. So many people either don’t notice or choose to ignore me that I get no feedback.

On the other hand, I should be careful about what I wish for. Isn’t there an ancient Chinese curse, “May all your wishes be granted”? I may be better off not knowing what other people really think and be glad that the general public is willing to let me dress as I like.

Age had nothing to do with not posting pictures. It was a matter of lacking hardware. I have been enjoying women’s boots for at least 30 years but only in the past 3-4 have I been wearing them in public so a missed opportunity of youth, maybe, but back then I don’t think it would have been as accepted as it is today. Maybe my age has something to do with the level of acceptance I have been experiencing. The skirt wearing is a recent thing (and all JeffB’s fault :D ).

Thanks all for the kind words.

Do you see why I don’t put a lot of stock in this group’s view of how the world sees me? I think there are very few others that would say stuff like “winning combination”, “inspiration to all of us”, “big complement”, “outfit works great”. Although I sincerely appreciate the complements, I think it means you guys are as nutty as I am. It's great to be part of this group.

  3. Absolutely awesome TBG,

Impressive outfits, incredible Boots, and tremendous confidence...what a winning combination.

Yesterday was a museum day. I wore a white turtleneck, 5 picket black leather jeans, thigh boots with 5” stiletto heels, a black blazer and gold dime size earrings. This was the first time the earrings have gone to the museum.

    Posted Image

I sketched for about two hours and although that is very relaxing, I was exhausted so I walked on through the museum. I didn’t get a comment even though I talked with several folks about the art. One guy wasn’t sure if he was allowed to go out into the courtyard, as an unsolicited comment I said he could and he looked offended that I spoke to him.

After the museum, I changed into a long black long cloth skirt with a slit that goes up past my left knee and went shopping. Keep in mind, with those heels, I’m 6’5” and wearing a skirt.

I went into a grocery I don’t normally frequent and I don’t think many people even noticed what I was wearing. The register clerk (young girl) was a little embarrassed when I got to the register but that happens.

Next I went to Famous Footware. Both The clerks and the manager greeted me and I looked around the boots section. There were fewer boots to choose from that two weeks ago. Did I miss the season?

Next I went to a big thrift store that often has nice stuff. I have gotten a lot of ladies stuff there. The store was very busy and I walked through the ladies isles twice without finding anything. Lots of folks noticed the 6’5” guy in a black ladies suit and 5” heels. No one said anything to me but after I passed some folks I did get several smiled, one “look at them boots”, and a couple of snickers.

I then went to another variety store without event.

These stores are in the mall with the mirror fronted shop so I did get to see what the outfit looked like. I really think I like the shorter skirt but this is a learning experience.

  4. They are really cool Boots. I have a pair from Little Shoe Box that are similar and lace up the front, they have red trim though. You'll see them in the www link in the album "avatars"......it reminds me I haven't worn them out for awhile and they are due for an outing!

I am thinking of getting a pair like Tolldeg has though as I like the all black leather look.

    david

Yes, Trolldeg does wear his boots well. He really has the legs to compliment them.

  5. Hi Jeff,

Very classy look. This was exactly the style of Jean and HH Boots Cathy wore last night.

    david

It occured to me that I've yet to post a picture of myself in my long jeans, so now it's time to correct that oversight:

    Posted Image

Here, I paired the long jeans with a black turtleneck and the five inch heeled Seduce 2000 pu boots. As you can see, the stiletto heel of those boots matched perfectly with the jeans which in turn, made me look awfully damn good I think. From there, it was off to the mall where, once again, I went relatively unnoticed, save for a couple of second glances here and there. Unlike last week, I had no encounters at all. I guess that could be looked upon as a triumph of sorts. Heh! Let me know what you think of the pic!

    ;)

  6. Hi KneeHigh....great Look!

    david

Speaking of jeans and heels, here are a few images of me in jeans and a BCBG military jacket.

Here is a view with knee high boots with a more militant style heel

Here is a look with pointy toe boots, like I would normally wear

Here is the same military jacket with pumps

And another in flat knee high boots, feeling the military thing today

I posted a couple of these pictures at The Fashion Spot.com's What Are You Wearing Today? thread too. Will be interesting to see what they say over there.

  7. LOL ! hehehehehehe heck, I feel more at home in my heels than when I'm not in heels. I found out a long time ago that if I wanted to wear high heel Boots and go shopping with Cathy I had better be prepared to be in them for long periods of time with lots of walking, she has no mercy!

    david

    ILoveBoots:-)

Eight miles in 4" thighboots??? You are a better man than I by far. Congrats!

    Cheers---

  8. Thank you for the update. i wasn't aware they were out of business. What happened with Gino. I met Gino many years ago (must have been 1992) and then we corresponded for a few years as I sold his Boots here in Canada during the mid 90's. I thought another family member was taking over the business?

    david

Little shoe box is no more. RIP

  9. Hi TBG....

Great pics. Don't worry about the quality, the Boots and Jeans look terrific.

Cathy and I went out last night as planned to a local Martini Bar/Restaurant. We didn't get a chance to take pics but we had a great time. Cathy decided to wear her Italian high quality leather black leather thigh high Boots with her blue jeans over them, 5 inch heels and a sweater. These Boots we purchased about 23 years ago in Toronot at Calderone's on Yonge Street, at the time they wear $600. They have lasted so well and look as good today as 20+ years ago. I wore a light green outdoor type shirt tucked into Black riding pants, a black long shirt over top open, and 5 inch stiletto heel black leather Little Shoe Box crotch high Boots over the riding pants. This is similar to the pics we posted on the www link showing "November".

We entered the bar at about 6pm. It is a very open concept so you can see everyone who enters etc. Near the entrance way there was a group of Lady's, about 12 or so at a large table, all in their 30's and 40's, and having a great time. When we entered we captured their undivided attention. Every head turned our way at the table and every set of eyes did the up and down look, then the fixation on our Boots and heels. We walked past to an empty four set table and we both noticed the approving smiles and looks. While we settled in a few of the Lady's kept making eye contact with us and smiling. We ordered and were enjoying our drinks, waiting for appy's, when two of the Lady's came walking past our table on their way to the washroom. both were wearing knee high high heel Boots. One Lady wore black leather pants tucked into her Boots the other a black knit tight forming dress to just below her knees and the Boots. The smile they shot us as they walked past was to die for! A few minutes later on their way back from the washroom, the Lady wearing the leather pants and Boots stopped and began a conversation on how incredibly sexy she found our fashions. They both stood for a few minutes at the table chatting. We invited them to join us for drinks and they didn't hesitate, each taking a seat. After introductions we discovered the table of Ladys was a group of fashion designers meeting for as a group, they met every four months to discuss trends/fashion ideas/next seasons designs etc. They sat with us until our dinners arrived, sharing appy's and we had a great conversation on mens fashion and the need for more experimentation. They both agreed that the high heel Boot style I was wearing probably would not be something that would catch on now, but they did enjoy mens cavalier styles for next fall/winter as one of the styles they wanted to incorporate in their designs. We exchanged phone/addresses before they left. A really cool get together and experience. Before leaving they also commended our braveness.

Thanks for the references. It looks like the brown boots are available this season and I just hadn’t noticed. They are also available on Howcool.com.

Wow, a pair of thigh boots that have lasted through two heel and sole jobs and still look great.

  10. Kevin, very cool! You have a strong relationship, you're a very lucky person. This forum is here for the very reason you give, to share and I too am glad I have found this site as I have connected with so many wonderful people.

    Forward, Onward, Upward, Together.....

Hey everyone, I have to admit that my wearing highheel cowgirl boots in public has been good overall so far. To be honest the only difference I have noticed so far is width of the heels. The cowgirls are thinner towards the ground and that is all.

Today was the third day I wore them to work. I got lots of looks from customers and employees. Only one customer said anything and that was to my bookbuyer as he was ringing her up at the register. She asked him if I was wearing hiheels at which he shruged his shoulders with a chuckle and said he was not going there.

As to the partner....we talked.......and it was good! He has no attraction to the hiheels womens boots at this time. He did say that might change and that because he loves and respects me he would like to be part of this with me. I have his full support. I'm don't think I could explain how that makes me feel. I'm sure most of you who have others in you'r lives who know and are open understand.

And I have a great deal of thanks for this board and the people on it. Just finding others who share this gave me the push to be open with him.

    Thank You Very Much

    Kevin

  11. Cool Azraelle, from others who post here on the West Coast heel Meet we'll keep a running tally of preferred sites....

  12. Is there no interest amongst the many many of us out here on the west coast for a High Heel get together??? Let's hear from everyone. I'll start by throwing a date out.... April 22nd weekend in San Francisco......if we don't hear from anyone I guess Cathy and I will be partying on our own in our high heel Boots! david

  13. Hi Laurie,

Now those are a cool pair of Boots! You would have my 100% undivided attention if I spotted you walking down the main street ;)

    Love to chat,

a fellow western Canadian near the Mountains (actually smack dab in the middle of them!)

Well, since this is the new boots topic, even if it was for someone else to start with, I might as well, liberate it for my own uses. Maybe not liberate, how about, subvert?

    Sure!

Here are my new boots, made by the Highest Heel and available from many sites.

They fit really well, and after some hanger assisted zipping up the first few times to get them worked in, they hug my legs quite nicely.

When the walks and roads a re a bit more clear of ice and snow, I'll be taking them outside for sure.

  14. That is awesome Jeff. I would like to see how they look on you as I am considering ordering a pair as well, they are a very nice looking Boots, especially for everyday walking around town. Always looking for good walking Boots,

    david

Just got an email from Beverly Heels confirming that the Vanity 2013 boots have been shipped, so I should get them soon. I'll be sure to give a full report on them along with a pic or two.

    ;)

  15. Hi TBG,

You have a great sense of fashion. Would enjoy seeing some of your outfits and accessories in some pics, are you able to post a few or post an album site where we can enjoy your fashion?

    david

This morning I pushed the envelope a little further. Yesterday I went on my morning grocery stop with leather slack and dime size gold earrings. This morning I wore my work slacks, olive turtleneck, black leather pull on thigh boots with 4” stiletto heels, a black cardigan sweater, and large gold/silver two piece clip on earrings. The look still fell into my definition of conservative, and I felt very comfortable with my look The overall shape of the earrings is a oval about 1” x 2” and are definitely a women’s fashion earring.

When I walked through the store, ignoring me was more of a challenge, but people still managed it. The clerk at the checkout had seen me in boots and a skirt before so she wasn’t surprised … I think amazed is more descript of her reaction. She didn’t say anything but she really noticed.

I may stick with these for a little while and see what happens.
