I was channel surfing yesterday, and stumbled onto this show on MTV where ladies go through the rooms of potential dates to try to guess what kind of person they are, and then the 3 potentials go through her room to see what she's like. Anyway, my gf and I were watching a few minutes, but before they broke for commercial they had a preview of the next potential guy's room where she found a pair of black heeled sandals under his bed. He looked a bit red, and she was giving feedback to the camera saying "Well, I don't know if you wear these or not.." and the two other guys were ribbing him a little about them. We changed channels before then, but anybody see what came out of that? I was just curious whether they were his, an old girlfriend's, and whether the potential date saw them as a big turn off.

I just started shaving mine a few weeks ago. I like the look of it, and my girlfriend does too. She was actually the one who convinced me to. I haven't considered waxing yet. I might, since I'm still getting some nicks here and there.

Yes, thanks, I do shave my legs. Never was very fond of hairy legs, so I took it off with Nair and have shaved since then. -Dave

Thanks, and I do like the first pair a lot. The second pair was listed as being new and never worn, so I guess I'll see if that's true or not. Always a bit of a crapshoot when buying off eBay. I know it's been said if we don't go out and wear them people won't get used to them, but I do dream of the day when we can wear dress shoes that we like. Women have so many different styles that look nice, and we have... Slim pickin's. I do have a pair of lace up sandals (flats) that I wore on vacation earlier this year, and nobody blinked. I'll see if I can get a picture of them. -Dave

Last weekend I told my girlfriend (already cool with me wearing heels) that I would like to pick out a lower heeled pair, and wear them all weekend. She was cool with that, although I didn't quite get up the gumption to go street heeling. So I picked these out:
They were quite comfortable, and her only concern was to be prepared for some guffaws if I wore these in public, but she didn't have a problem if I decided to wear them outside. I found these on eBay, and hopefully they will be on their way soon. I just couldn't resist. I think sandals with a single strap over the toe are cool.
Someday maybe I will be wearing these in public, but it might take a little working up to that for me. Still, nice to read about others' experiences here, and I hope to work up that point.

I too like platform sandals, and my girlfriend lets me wear these around the house. They are surprisingly comfortable and not that hard to walk in.

Hello again, I registered for this some time ago and apparently was lost in the crash. I have had an interest in heels since I was young, and I am fortunate to have a girlfriend who is open to letting me explore this and lets me wear them around the house. Recently she inquired as to whether I would like to try a skirt, and she offered a wrap skirt (sarong?) to try, and we both agreed it looked attractive. Maybe not to the general public yet, but I enjoyed the look and feel. Anyway, does anyone (other than women) shave their legs? I tried once a long time ago, but the hairs irritated something fierce when they kept catching on my pants. Nair lasted a little longer, but ran into the same problem. Just curious, since I tend to prefer sandals myself. -Dave

I've had the same problem. Seems like the hairs get caught on my pants as they start to grow back and it irritates them. I've had good luck with Jergens shave reducing lotion; it reduces the irritation, slows down the rate they grow back, and they don't grow back as thick. I did this for a while and finally tried the waxing. It's not as bad as you think. I didn't like the Nair either. It had to stay on a longer than they recommend to make much of impact (doesn't help that I have pretty thick hairs). It was also very messy and smelly. -Dave
