Inga, I think the scene about the Holy Handgranade is from "Monty Python and The Holy Grail", the fierceful foe looking like a small white rabbit with a preference for jugulars
-
I stand corrected, Francis.
-
Yes, we have Ing<u>e</u> de Bruijn, Ing<u>a</u>
But basketball is more my sport than swimming has ever been
P.S.: what is the "Thorpedo" ? (I have heard of a Graham Thorpe, a cricket player)
-
Ehm, Francis ....
quote
Romani, ite domum
unquote
Actually, Brian wrote "Romani, ite domu<u>s</u>" on the wall. And centurion John Cleese pointed out to him, that it should be domu<u>m</u> since a motion was involved, and that hence the accusativus should be used instead
write 100 times "Romani, ite domum" (just like Brian)

I confess, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" being my favourite

No Debbie, Sasha has stopped doing that in the first half year of 2001. The website address was http://www.high-heel-shoes.com

Hallo Joak Did I talk about cork <u>footwear</u> ?? I was more thinking about a cork <u>swimming belt</u> And congratulations on your promotion - must be less uncomfortable on your muscles
-
Inga, You need support on 3 inchers ???
-
Geoff,
The Jane I am referring to. is the one who has a gallery on Jenny's website - take a look at
http://193.251.60.36/Jenny/jane/jane.htm
She is the same one that Debbie is talking about in this message
(and I remember a different name for that Jane's husband)

Laurie and Inga, Are you perhaps playing catch-up with each other ? Wonder which one of you two will reach the 300 messages point first
-
Ahem Inga, Let me start by repeating something I ended with: I am a platform-nonfan, i.e. I don't like plats. My previous post was more about the weight aspect, didn't say anyhting that might suggest that I think corky plats look nice (I don't). (And I have my swimming diploma, so don't need cork to keep my head above water )
-
quote: I think that the popularity of platforms stem from two sources. One being the need to burn more calroies. So let's make a heavier shoe for the foot as a training weight. Where do we put this extra weight? unquote I seem to remember models with plats made from cork. Looks just as massive, but cork is a light material. Perhaps your theory isn't finished yet ? (coming from a platform-nonfan, before I am placed in the enemy camp ) <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Tom-NL on 2002-01-27 12:42 ]</font>

Ahem Geoff (Aus), <quote> I forgot to mention (these comfy loafers were putting me to sleep) that if Inga is Melbourne's #1, my wife would have to be Sydney's best! </quote> I also seem to remember a certain Jane from Sydney - might be a more interesting contest for that title than you seem to think <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Tom-NL on 2002-01-25 14:08 ]</font>
