I should have said I like them both, but like the Oxfords better...they are both very nice. Oxfords are fun, hehe!Isn't it amazing how tastes differ? I really like the 1st pair better. How about some info on them? (A link to where you bought them would be just fine )

Ummm, it was kinda meant as a joke...of course New Zealand isn't communist. I was merely inferring that a governments shouldn't pass laws infringing on freedoms of their people. Do governments do that, yes. Is it right, in my opinion, no. So yes, I do know what communism is; my first degree was in History, so I had courses on communist, socialist, capitalist, nationalist, monarchies, etc. As far a regulating sales, I am totally familiar with that being that I live in California, and there are many things that are very much regulated to death. You don't seem to know what communism is.
The message said to regulate sales of stiletto's
Probably means that you need to have a stiletto license which you
can get after stiletto lessons and passing the exam:biggrin:

I agree with Snoots...had an iphone4 now for several months...I have accessed HHPlace a couple times from it and did not have any issues...anything I couldn't readily read I would just do the two finger expand to "zoom in" on it. Tech, I agree, it is an amazing piece of technology...I went from a Palm Centro to a iphone 3GS and I thought that jump was amazing...the iphone4 has a tiny bit smaller screen than the 3GS but the resolution is way better and a camera on both sides is great...much faster overall than the 3GS as well.

LOL...funny stuff Doc and Tech

Doc, any news on the lasts?

Good to hear that you don't let him stop you...you should be able to wear what you want...if it makes you feel godd, then that is what's important. Wow, "they make women look cheap"...and what makes them look not cheap then?! May I ask how old he is? Did he have a very religious or sheltered upbringing? When I push him for a reason all he says is that they make women look cheap. I still wear them because I like to wear them, I don't tell him what to wear and he can't tell me what not to wear

Unreal, a government wants to ban stilettos...that's borderline communism. What needs to happen is that they (the people who want to wear stilettos or the people who have been hurt by wearing them) need to be trained in the proper way to wear stilettos! Practice and training around the house where one can hold on to something is what needs to be done. Craziness I say!

Once again PIB provides the truth...thank you girl! (I was having a hard time believing it myself) Pointegirl, I'm not sure that it could never be reversed, however, as I said before, since you feel discomfort when you don't wear the ballet boots, then it seems that you are required to wear them now so that you don't have any discomfort. That, to me, is almost a permanent state since you need them to feel comfortable. Muscle memory might have a play here if you do consciously think about pointing your feet ALL the time; it might be that eventually your foot might permanently point after years of doing the same thing all the time. So, after all, maybe it is possible (I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure).
I applaud your dedication and effort to get to where you want to be with this; it takes a strong will do this.

Doing everything in boots! Unfortunately, being in the US, with all the stereotypes that abound here, that is not feasible for me to do

That's great to hear JJ...you are a lucky guy to have a spouse who understands and is not afraid of being with a guy wearing heels in public. Best of luck.I wear heels every evening when I get home and mostly over the weekends. My wife told me yesterday that I could wear a pair of heels 4 1/2" and jeans that are quite long on our way on the plane to Durban on Friday and then back here in JHB we are going to look for something for me to wear with her out in public, so wish me luck.
-
Welcome Nadette...that is very unusual that your hubby doesn't like heels...has he said why he doesn't like them?
-
onyourtoes...just read the thread...that's an incredible story...good find for Pointegirl

Aha! Well then, it seems like you are already well on your way to your goal then... being uncomforatble without them on is big sign that you need to have them on all the time no matter what...congratulations are in order?...I don't like wearing them in bed but have to do so because it is now uncomfortable without
-
Couldn't agree more...just like anything you want to be proficient at will take practice so will getting used being heeled. The more you wear them, the more you get used to them.
-
No not me, unfortunately...but I will have these boots someday!
-
It was a decent show...I did like Katy Perry in those black boots...very nice.
-
Frost-bitten toes...ouch!
-
You would just have to wear them ALL the time...which in my eyes is not feasible due to work and general day to day life. But, if you think you can do that, then wearing them all the time, I would imagine, would make it so that you would have to wear them all the time just to be comfortable. As the others have said, like having the permantely heeled foot.

Welcome Pointegirl

I say go for it, unless you have living expenses that take precedent.

Welcome misslinda...you are a lucky girl and your husband is a lucky guy for you two to have made that union last so long. It is refreshing to hear that the two of you enjoy the wonderful world of high heels and hose and that the both of you enjoy each other wearing them
fantasies of doing unusual things in boots?
