Firefox Posted January 24, 2002 Posted January 24, 2002 Are you a fan of the online auctions at http://www.ebay.com or elsewhere? I've had a lot of fun looking at shoes or clothes that other people have found. So, if you've got a vintage item for sale, seen something interesting, bought a recent bargain or just missed out, then tell us here, so we can share your joys or your sorrows.
Debbie(HK) Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 Yep as many of you know, that's one of my best sources of 50's clothes and stockings. This is a platform free shoe zone!
Debbie(HK) Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 Got some great bargains this week Debbie This is a platform free shoe zone!
jo-jo Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 What like? I haven't had any bargains for ages Don't ask me how I walk in them just try a pair
Debbie(HK) Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 Genuine 50's garter belt for US$5 I once got a genuine Christian Dior suit for US$25, but agreed that you don't get bargains like that everyday Debbie This is a platform free shoe zone!
IHeels Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 Unbelievable Debbie, given I pay A$800 - 1000 for my suits might just have to go ebay. Inga HEELS are POWER the HIGHER the BETTER.
Debbie(HK) Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 Bought some more vintage stockings recently, can never have enough Debbie This is a platform free shoe zone!
RubberVicki Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 How many pairs of stockings do you have deb? And what sought of styles?
Debbie(HK) Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 Literally hundreds of them in different syles and colours FF & RHT and sizes too. I have quite a few which I'll be putting up for sale soon a they are not my size. Debbie This is a platform free shoe zone!
RubberVicki Posted April 20, 2002 Posted April 20, 2002 Tell me when Deb, love to buy some of your pairs.
Firefox Posted April 22, 2002 Author Posted April 22, 2002 Do you feel a bit guilty about wearing some vintage fashion which might have a limited life if you do wear them, Debbie; Eg Stockings. Or do you look upon it as a vintage wine; it's there to be drunk!
Debbie(HK) Posted May 17, 2002 Posted May 17, 2002 I'll let you know Vicki, been very busy recently so I still haven't got around to it. The plan is still there though..... just need some spare time There is something special about the vintage nylons, far nicer imo. Debbie This is a platform free shoe zone!
Debbie(HK) Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Bought some more nice ones from the UK just waiting for the post now...... Still not got around to sorting out my stock though - promise to do so soon This is a platform free shoe zone!
Dexter23 Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 mmm this is kinda strange. on http://pages.ebay.com/catindex/clothing.html?ssPageName=HCA01 the e-bay site if you are looking for shoes and you want a woman like stile it is called "shoes" but in de men's section it is called "Footwear" and that is the same with infants "Shoes" and boy's and girls have "footware". That's strange I think. If you are a little baby girl you wear shoes, than at "From Toddlers to Teens" you wear footware and than back to shoes.
