krebs9778 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 hope this is the right place for my question, if not please move... I bought these boots: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/31195587/c/78930.html at a local store in germany and paid around 120 Euro for them. At zappos.com they cost $ 392.95 this is around 276 Euro, a difference of 156 Euro (around 221 USD). Where does this big difference come from? Or is zappos.com that expensive?
BobHH Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I think they are a little expensive, but not that much!
jmc Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Zappos is generally quite competitive in their pricing. This has got to be the result of some kind of pricing policy on the part of a supplier -- perhaps driven by a tax or tariff. Have a happy time!

I often wonder about the price disparity between countries, I think its partly down to to what the manufacturers/resellers thinks they can get for it in each country, after all average income is different, but that does seem a big difference
Kym Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 zappos gives free shipping in the US, on both going out and returns. Plus I believe most of their shipping is now overnite, so they have to make up the costs somewhere.
