euchrid
Has anyone seen the new Capital One ad. which is now showing on UK TV? It's about credit card identity theft. There's a bit where a bank manager says to a defrauded customer "last month you spent £300 on shoes" (something like that anyway) the customer - who is a beefy, man's-man stereotype - looks puzzled and there's a brief 'fantasy clip' of him playing rugby whilst wearing a pair of strappy silver stilettos. It was quite amusing I thought, even though the subliminal message is the usual one (a man in heels! tee-hee! see how daft he looks!) Dr. Shoe
Actually the man says: "Do I look like the sort of person who'd spend £300 on a pair of shoes?" This makes us laugh because I don't look like the sort of person who spend £300 on shoes when that's exactly what I might do!
