Hello.. I'm new here. I'm looking for some knee high wedge heel boots, zipper on side (or up the back). No platform. Maybe a 4"-5" heel. Anyone know where I can find something like this? I've seen them on La-Piazza, but the prices are a bit high. I'm looking for something that costs about the square root of that. Any help would be great. Thanks!

You don't say where you are, but I found an excellent pair at http://www.schuh.co.uk/ or at http://www.shoe-shop.com/ . I have the ankle version, and they're great. I think they are down to about £30 now. I can't give you an exact URL because I've turned script off in IE as otherwise script-heavy sites crash my poor ickle 233  Mind you, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun looking

Thanks for reply! Both sites had a good pair (same pair I think), but only in small sizes. I'm looking for a women's US 11.

I'm from Arizona, too.

I continue to look!

On a side note, why do I see a loafer and my boot icon on my posts? How can I make the loafer go away?

The loafer goes away when you post enough to make it go away. It is just a posting rank, you can figure out a way to post an extra icon for yourself under it. I do not know how, so don't look at me!

Speaking of posting ranks -- It's about time that a new icon was found for people with over 1,000 posts. Perhaps the other oxford? A pair rather than just a single shoe? Of course, one could always use a black patent pump with 7" heels (like those made by little shoe box-- similar to these: http://users.powernet.co.uk/wingett/images/1-8.jpg ) as the ultimate high heel shoe. What do you think?

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

Hello again..

I'm not much into heels that force me to hyper extend. 5.5" is my limit, and I feel fine in them; 6" just don't work out.

I'm still hunting for the wedge heel boot. I've even considered modifying a pair with a thicker chunky heel (finally, a good use for chunky heels

Oops.. the above guest post was mine. I forgot to log in.

Hi Jessica, sad to see that you was also unable to find some inexpensive wedge heeled boots in a little larger size. I remember that we have already postet about the topic a few month ago. Well I'm also looking for this style, but LaPiazza ist still the only source I know and the expense for this style is to high for mw now.... best wishes Joak

Joak:

I was communicating with someone from http://www.westernranchboots.com/ about custom boots. But the price would be about $500.

Still looking...

Best of luck. But why "Arizona, too?" I'm in little ol' England, hence the '.co.uk' site.
