Hello,

may it be, that this board is unable to show HTML coded postings well? Yes, I know the box"Disable HTML in this post" but it seems that this dosn't matter....

Or, with BBCODE enabled, thusly

Joak's High Heels Page

If you want it displayed WHILE you type, just mouse over the <u>URL</u> box, then mouse horizontally right so that the pointer doesn't mouse over the Close Tags "button" which turns the URL example banner off. :smile:

OK, OK, but HTML is the good old thing which is easy to write (for me), so I hoped to spare this BBCode stuff! best wishes Joak :smile:

Couldn't agree with you more, Joak!

Unfortunately, BBCODE apparently is a required part of using the PHPBB 2.0x software, so "When in Rome, Ya gotta go with the flow"

(or words to that effect). At least there is a helpful set of codes above, on the "post a reply" page incase you get lost, as I almost always do... :grin::grin::smile:

Well,it's bad, but lets try this BBcode stuff - if it works well, there should be a little picture with a link:

BBCode rules.. :smile: But without kidding.. Only a limited set of HTML is available at the moment, <img not being one of them. This is a security measure and since BBCode works like a charm I see no problems with it..

Pardon my naivete', but why would full HTML enabling be a security issue?

And even if it is, I can't see why enabling such features as (oops, apparently <"pre"> IS supported!), <blockquote>, <ul>, <table>, or

<pre>

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"><!--

// *** script written by AJ Wilkinson 04/27/02 ***

var now = new Date();

var Y = now.getYear();

var M = new Array(0,31,59,90,120,151,181,212,243,273,304,334);

var curM = now.getMonth();

var Julian = M[curM] + now.getDate()-1;

if(Julian <= 130)

{ document.write("During the <font color=#339933>Spring " + Y + "</font> Semester,

") }

else if(Julian > 130 && Julian <= 225)

{ document.write("During the <font color=#993333>Summer " + Y + "</font> Semester,

") }

else

{ document.write("During the <font color=#ff6633>Fall " + Y + "</font> Semester,

") }

// --></SCRIPT> </pre>

would be problematical from a security point of view. Yes I know, CERTAIN JavaScripts can really cause hell, but only during that session on your browser!!! :smile::grin:

<table> tag and some others might indeed come in handy now and then and poses no security risc. I might add them sometime, for now you'll have to live with the board default of , , <u> and <pre>.

Anyway, the forums aren't meant to design webpages in, they are meant to post posts and to beautify the posts BBCode is sufficient imho.
