Stiletto run ...

On 9 march there will be a stiletto run in Amsterdam where the winner can shop for € 10000 ... unfortunately their site is only in dutch and only females are allowed to enter (shame) but i think it is going to be very nice to watch. I can only imagine how hard it must be to run in stilettos, if i would try it i am certain to injure my ankle or knee or fall flat on my face .. anyone out there wanting to enter the contest ?

The clip on the website is fun. Gonna test out the quality of the shoe build, thats for sure. I see they specify the minimum heel height of 7cm and width of 1.5cm, so that should last the course. Dont rekon well see any manolos being put theough their paces

well the race was there, but I don't was there. a lot of media was there and in the news later in the evening there was a small movie of the run. I have that on a video. But thats not on the computer or even to be shown on here. I hope to find a way or perhaps a link to the new sender so to be pic-up directly for all the heel lovers who has mist the board-casting.

Tekst: 75 m running on stiletto heels with minumum 7 cm high and 1,5 cm weidth. This was yesterdaymorning the firts glamour stiletto race throu the PC Hoofdstreet in Amsterdam. A 20 year girl Nancy from Egmond was the quickest of the 150 runners. She won 10.000 euro to buy clothing. The head redatie of this magazin spoke about the race of two things it was about "glamour and fun" .

This cartoon was the newspaper as wel: the male- pretty you can walk in those heels well, Stella. The girl- I'm practising for the stiletto run. - the race is for women on heels and the winner gets 10.000 shopping money; male- And what are you going to do with the money?. the girl buying sneakers

The tekst be shorted. It was the intervew with the winning girl: With 4 girls of the atletiek club had be sign in and was lucky to get a number of the 150 runners from the 4200 asking to starting. She had never worn heels. Had buy sheep ones of 18 euro. Taped het ankles and run. She never expect to win but in 22 sec it was over. From the money she had spent the get her first expencive clothing. And no problems of the muskles because her running history. And she will stay a normal country girl, but it was nice the get all the promotion in this high fashion and expencive street.

I found out this story a minute ago, found the photo sets on Flickr and when I rushed to post it here, I found out that there is a solid thread already dealing with the race. You guys are fast! as fast as the winner of the stiletto run ...

and there was one guy who competed (he's wearing a helmet - I wonder why ). Pity he didn't win for our cause. That would have been something and probably would have gotten more publicity.
