Interesting sidenote (to some)

Feeling a little bored today, I decided to do a little checking. We now have 2281 members ! YAY ! 1764 of these have posted 10 or less time with 1015 of those having never posted at all. While there is no requirement to post anything, it does make you wonder how many lurkers still don't want to make their presence known. BTW 156 people have posted more than 100 times with 18 posting more than 1000. 1 person has reached 5000 posts. Now that's a lot of talking :D

I know at least one high heel forum that expects new members to post their first message within 14 days after signing up. Exit lurkers? For forums that have limitation that what guests can read this will result in people signing up to have full access. But then if they are not finding the content they want, they'll probably not bother to post a message. So exit not interested members? The end result could be a general cleanup of the memberlist. But then you know who benefits from the existance of the forum, and who makes a usefull contribution to the forum. :D i'm still part of the 1764 with 10 posts or less  BeHeels

Personally, I don't mind lurkers who read the board for good information/advice. Some people just might not have anything to say or are shy in the beginning. I find that alot less offensive than people who sign up to post spam or troll.

Despite my 170 posts, I'm quite a lurker myself. I think many people think signing up is compulsory, as it is compulsory on many boards. So most zero or one time posters are probably one time visitors.

I spent ages just watching and reading, after all thats what the forum is here for I only really started to post after meeting heelfan and Nohj in Bristol one day. up until then I was worried that other guys wanting to wear heels and owning high heels might be weird, thank goodness that everybody I have met has been wonderful and not weird. I have been to three or four meets now with my wife, pictured to the left of this post in her 6 inchers) and we look forward to coming along to the next heelmeet local to us. I am proud to say that I have made some friends here, and not just cyber friends, guys that I ring up from time to time and have a good chat with. I think once you start posting you are hooked. Thanks for the snap shot of the members Francis. Nigel.

I was a lurker too for quite some time before I registered and I still mostly operate in lurker mode now. I find our subject matter is quite well covered to a great depth on this board and I usually don't think I have much to add. But if I have something to say I'll post it.

Have a happy time!

More than 500 members have joined just to spam a link to their dodgy drugs or casino website into the profile screen here. Those all need to be deleted, and the profile pages not allowed to be indexed by search engines to fix that particular problem.

I'm still something of a lurker, although i do post occasionally. I don't think there's anything wrong with lurkers. They are enjoying reading the posts and not bothering anyone. Its the spammers that need to be dealt with. bobbie
