sendra45 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 congratulations, I hope you have some good health cover! The angels have the phonebox.
Dawn HH Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 TXT-1:-) Congrats on your 400th post. That's sure a wicked looking box sticking out of the hood, (bonnet), of The Iron Maiden. Be sure to fasten your seat belt tightly. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
chris100575 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Congrats on your 400th post TXT! Blasting that thing around must be fun. Have you tried driving it in heels yet? Chris
TXT-1 Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 Nigel: no health cover: hey it's a 1975 Datsun 120Y not a 1988 Ferarri F40! DawnHH it's a bonnet (hood) scoop - it's made from a letterbox :-) - just under the opening at the front the writing reads "NO JUNKMAIL" speaking of seatbelts: the drivers seatbelt needs replacing, it is frayed halfway through I plan to replace the lefthand guard - see the BIG tear in it? it has to go... As soon as I have "The Iron Maiden straight enough -she's geting painted!.... Yellow Tinter For the non petrolheads - that's bright yellow straight out of the can - it's NOT toned down at all! I also have to find some way of getting the hotdog (cherrybomb) muffler of "The Defect" on to her somehow! - don't want to start fires... I'm not sure if the bonnet scoop will stay - even at 5'11 - 6'1 it's a pain in the arse to see over! nope haven't driven "The Iron Maiden" in heels as I'm still getting used to it's "quirks" and I like the reaction times of normal shoes - plats tend to kill your reaction time!...I also know that they wouldn't fit!... I also drive with a lead foot later, TXT-1
