Sharing/Uploading Images - Heres why it is how it is currently

Hi Folks

So I'm doing my annual "Check the emails" and reading over what's been sent... And I'm seeing a fair amount of emails like this, complaining about how uploading images to HHPlace is a pain in the ass...

The above example included three images... The total size of the three images combined was 24mb! 8.6mb, 8.4mb and 7.1mb file sizes...

This is just one of many; some were unprintable, and considering the lack of anybody being willing to help around here, they were pretty much bang out of order...

I'm well aware that uploading images here isn't as slick as the big tech giants with millions to spend on developers' salaries, but I've had to set the site up like this purely because of the abuse it got from people uploading huge images that were big enough to put on the side of a bus with file sizes to match...

Resizing your own images takes seconds, and there are loads of free apps out there that let you do this.

Heck you can even email an image to yourself, from your phone, and your phone will ask you "Full Size or Email Friendly version" and it will resize it for you. Photoshop Mobile is free!

I never ask any of you for anything, and pay for everything here out of my own pocket, so I don't think it's unfair to ask, drop the abuse, and if something is pissing you off, then be an adult and tell me, but also come with a solution...

I'm not a mind reader and none of us can know everything, all the time.

If the current limits or restrictions need to be increased a bit, ask...
