On 27 august 2016 I attempted to walk 5 miles in a pair of 7 inch stiletto courts with a 2 inch platform to raise money for Macmillan nurses.

Well I'm sad to anounce that I failed.  What happened is that one of the heels was flexing to the side making it impossible for me to walk in them.  In total I covered just under 4 miles and I was going well until the problem happened.  At first I thought is was my legs as they were starting to feel like jelly.

I believe that my deceased mother and my late wife were looking down on me and made this happen to prevent further injury.  I have done plenty of high heel walks over the years but have never taken a battering like i did on this one.

None of my normal shoes fit me as my left foot is very swollen.  All I can get on my feet are my sandals and my ugg boots.  The strange this is that i can still walk OK without a limp although my foot is tender to touch.  The grazed knee is no problem at all

One good thing to come from the walk is that i exceeded my target of £500
