Just wondering if it could be done easily and look good. I have I pair of boots that aren't quite kneehigh boots. I want the shafts 3.5" higher, add an inside zipper on them, add 1" of heel and 1" of a tapered platform. Thay are going to look awesome! It will take my cobbler at least a month to complete. Ill keep you guys up with my pregress. The boots are fluevog volunteer boots. This is my first attempt at designing, so this is very exciting.

Just work closely enough with your cobbler so that he knows exactly what you want. No surprises is what I want in any tailoring.

Thanks shafted. Ill let you know how things go. I told him I want some killer high heel rockstar boots. Similar to what HEART used to wear.

I explained to him exactly what I want done. I said: for now, make the shafts 3.5" higher and add an inside zipper. Later ill add more heel and platform. Both at the same height, and add a huge brass buckle over the arch area. It will take a month to complete, and I promise ill sent you guys some pics. Can't wait to see what they look like!

What I did was to add quite a lot more than the length I wanted but then turn the top over to make a cuff to hide the join. They looked well cool. In those days I had access to all the machinery to do a professional job though.
