My Favorite Shoes

I thought I'd share some pictures of my favorite shoes.

This is a pair of boots by Ellie, style 557-Dolly with 5.5 inch heels.

It took a lot of practice to learn to walk in them.

I wore them into a Burger King and, while I was waiting for my

order, I noticed some guy at the end of the counter gawking at

me as if I had 2 heads or something. I found it to be very annoying.

That was the only bad experience I had with them.

This is a pair of 4 inch oxfords I bought on sale at Payless for $6.

These shoes are very comfortable and I don't even notice the high

heel when walking. I've noticed a few people looking at them while

mall shopping but no bad reactions.

This is a pair of LEI work boots found on sale at Famous Footwear for

$20. They are a great pair of boots for the price. They are very

comfortable and walking in them feels great. They came in handy

during a recent snowstorm. I've never noticed anyone noticing them.

The first are my favs - I'm biased because I wear the same boot! I found it to be very easy walker though.

I had to practice wearing them at home for several weeks before

going out. The 4 inch heels weren't a problem but, the 5.5 inch

heels took a lot of getting used to.

How long did it take you to learn to walk in heels that high?

it shoudn't take that long to learn how to walk in those 5.5" heels I have a pair of 6" "stripper" plats (see my avatar pic) and it took me 4 hours, yep 4 hours to get used to them! mine are a bit too much for street use though! even under a longer than usual jeans/pants they'd stilll be visable, and they are VERY loud! but then agaain I don't go out in them yet! maybe soon, (if I can gain a tonne of 100 proof Courage!) later, TXT-1

i got a pair like your first pic and they got a 6 inch heel with 2 inch platform and i found them easy to walk in. took me a couple hours to get used to them. also like your third pair, they look great for street heeling. later nhoj62

the higher the boot, the higher the heel, the better the feeling!

Sorry for the delay in replying. It took just a few hours. My biggest problem is always remembering to take small steps. The irony is that when I'm wearing conventional male flat shoes I'm always reminded about how short my steps are. Vive la differance! Vern

Sorry, guys - but unless it's real leather, I'm afraid I can't get into it anymore. Synthetics don't wear in, they don't give, they simply don't perform - unless you get them in larger sizes - there there are always gaps, and well... thats just not my idea of fun! I like a pair of heels to fit all the way around! So - kill the pig! I need some shoes! Or, at the very least, design a heeled shoe in larger sizes (11-14 women's) that's built like my running shoe (and out of synthetics)...

I have a similar pair as below, only knee-high. They are synthetic. but thanks to a larger size I can wear the comfortably all day :D

They look like Ellie style "Easy." They are like what I have only higher

and have a zipper. I figured knee boots would be pointless under

trousers. I have the shoes too, style "Amber" but, they only come in

patent finish which draws too much attention so, I only wear the boots

with longer blue jeans in public.

Those are very similar to the ones I'm looking at getting from ShoeZone in Whitby in a few weeks time, bar for the fact that my chosen one's are ankle boots rather than knee high. But at some point I will venture into the world on the knee-high boots.

We are what we are, let nothing stand in our way in what we do
