radiodave Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Okay, they aren't heels, but I've been wearing some flat riding boots that I got at Aldo. They did come from the "other" side of the store. I've been co-directing a play with a friend of mine, and ended up having to be in the cast since one of our cast members had a family emergency. These are a brown leather boot, VERY comfortable, and I've worn them a couple times. This evening, my friend gave me quite a surprise when she was giving notes after tonight's rehearsal and said "I LOVE your shoes!". It was so unexpected I just managed an "Eh?", and it seems she wants me to wear them in the play. Our characters are supposed to be in the 19th century, so I guess she figures they suit my character even better than my plain black dress shoes I had worn in our last dress rehearsal. Quite a surprise to me really, but hey, I'll take the compliment. Guess I'll be wearing them in the play!
stw8 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Did your friend know they were ladies boots? I was actually looking for a pair of riding boots as well...along with some knee high stiletto boots.
pebblesf Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 She is a good friend, and wants to encourage you because you look fine in the boots, no matter "what side of the store" they came from... My partner should meet your friend and take some notes! D
