Cute or sensible socks under your boots?

Hi all, when wearing my knee highs with my jeans I often love to wear socks with cute designs/prints underneath! What does everyone else go for? Do you wear ones with really cute designs and if so what ones do you have? or do you keep it nice and sensible! Also, for anyone who wears cute socks, have they been caught or had to show them off to people? lol

I only wear my boots barefoot.

Depending on the weather (bitter cold vs. cool) I'll either wear sensible socks to keep my feet warm or I'll slip on a pair of trouser socks to wear with my boots (and sometimes they can be cute!).
