patent shiny?

Hi everyone.

Is "BLKP" shiny? I assume the "P" means "patent".

And "BLK" is just the regular leather that is not shiny.

I want to order the attached from Ebay and they are saying that "BLK" is the shiny as seen in the picture and that "BLKP" is not shiny. I have researched it and it seems that they have it backwards.

Thank you

BLKP = Black Patent (Patent = Shiny)

I guess there is an description error on the website. They have it backward.

The boot we see on the attached picture is made of PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride)

PVC can be shiny or not shiny. The same with leather.

So basically: patent = PVC ?

"Patent" (Shiny) does not only apply to PVC

Patent could be "Patent PVC" (Shiny PVC) or "Patent Leather" (Shiny leather)

Ok. I understand it a little bit more.

The attached picture is "BLK" or "BLKP"?

"BLK" = shiny leather?

"BLKP" = shiny PVC?

Hey that's the boot in my avatar, and I do own a pair in black patent Elly 511 Allys. There are in reality either polyurethane or PVC. A tad bit more than 5 inch heel in a US11. A note about this material is that the shiny smooth surface will ripple with wear. They are also looser in the thigh on me than the picture shows.

True black patent is heat polished leather. And it has a shiny surface.

So, in order to get the exact type of "shade" as the boots in my attached picture, and in your avatar Shafted, what should I select: "BLK" or "BLKP"?

You guys have been helping, I am still just a bit confused, especially from what the sellers have told me about which one is the shiniest.

What do you think of this pair in general?

"BLK" on the left and "BLKP" on the right?

thank you

Not my cup of tea.

They are really funny looking though; not a pair I will be getting anytime soon at all.

So, the one on the right side is "BLKP"?
