Amanda Posted October 25, 2009 Share Posted October 25, 2009 I'm under the impression that if you measure the back of a heel from the tip to where the heel joins to the upper, then subtract the thickness of the sole if there is a platform. That will be your heel height. Or would a platform shoe be measured by it's overall heel height? (Shopping online can be a pain sometimes) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Stacey Posted October 25, 2009 Share Posted October 25, 2009 Any platforms I've ever bought the heel height indicates the actual length of the heel, not the size of the arch. So you might see a 6 inch heel with a 2 inch platform, that means the actual heel is 6 inches, but the arch is only 4 inches. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
