pdm134 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 In a size 8 heel at 3", what would the relative height need to be in a size 13 I would guess about 5" anyone know?
chrisr Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I guess you mean a US8 & 13? I wouldn't think so high - maybe 3.75". That's assuming what you mean by 'relative' is the same angle of the sole in respect of the ground. I created an Excel spreadsheet, ages ago, that attempts to calculate the angle of the sole leaving the floor and so compare the different heel heights for different shoe sizes. I'm not saying it's 100% accurate, but it's fun to play around with. I'll try and post it if you want it.
tallguyinheels Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 My experience and a little math - every 5 sizes US female is about 1/2 inch difference in heel height for the same foot angle.

Go to any of the online shoe size converters (Payless' is as good as any). Divide the 3" heel height by the size 8 foot length in cm, then multiply it by the size 13 foot length in cm. That's your answer. Those who really care about us don't make a fuss about what we wear. Those who make a fuss about what we wear really don't care about us.
