  1. yes, i have some experience there. The best thing to do in my opinion is to go to a large department store, like marshall fields, nordstrom, macys, and such. it seems that the shoe dept. employees there are not going to embarrass a potental customer. They do not know if you have made large purchases in other depts. and do not want to lose a customer that may well spend thousands in other depts. High heels for ever, ward

  2. Donna, I love those boots. I wish that I had a pair like them, don't worry, I'll get some as soon as I get a few things paid off. I wish that I was there with you so that I could shine them up for you. High heels forever, ward

  3. I agree, the cheaper stockings and hose do last longer, and don't run as easily. I normally buy my stockings and knee hi s at wal mart or some other mass retailer. Also I buy the least expensive that I can find in the largest multiope that I can find.

  4. Yes, it helos that i live in a large metro area, so I am not as afraid to wear my heels in public. If I were living in a small town pop 500 or less I would probably be content to wear them at home only. Having lived in small rural communities before, there are things that one can't do there with out the fear of being excluded from the community. When one owns or has a hand in all the buisnesses in town, one controls the public opinions of the residents. So I am happy living where i am, I can be who I am with out fear. If any one lives in a a small community, the best thing to do is take a mini vacation to a larger metro area, rent a room or stay with friends, and have a ball. By all means be yourself, even if you have to watch your back doing it. High heels for ever, ward

  5. I drive in high heels all the time. Stiletto hells are a little more challenging, but I cope. Driving my car in heels is easy as it has an automatic trans. My truck is more of a challenge because of the angle of the floor to the clutch pedal. I wear chunky heeled boots when driving the truck, it is also a challenge as no power sterring or power brakes either, as it is a model made when thise were optional equipment. 6. I have worn heels in public for many years, mostly boots, but I am getting bolder the longer I do it. Yes, just do it is a very good slogan. Lately I have been wearing baby doll style shoes in public with no adverse reaction. In cooler weather, I like to wear my knee, or thigh high boots with 4" spike heels. High heels forever ward

  7. I have a pair of high heeled sneakers that I bought at payless a few years ago. They are size 12, and look like the older style converse sneakers with the rubber toe cap. They are black with white soles and heels. High heels for life, ward

  8. Yes, I used to use that excuse a lot, for buying womens' shoes. I have not used that excuse for a very long time. The most memorable experience I have had involved a shoe sale at Daytons' (now marshall fields). I had seen some shoes in the sale ad in the newspaper. I went in to the ladies shoe dept. and found what I was looking for. I asked sales associte if they had these in size 13 or 14. He became very flustered and left to get his supervisor. Super came over and told me that they did have size 13, but 14 would have to be ordered. I asked for 13, tried them on and as they fit, bought them. ward
