  1. Hello ladies and gents,

I would like to buy a pair of wedge sneakers. I know there are lots of options but when it comes to buying there is always "something". I pretty much like the Jimmy Choo Panama but the price of €550 is much too much for me. I would like to spend not more than €200-250 - it can be a high brand or a no-name. I would also like the wedge height of 8-10 cm and my size is US11 - EU42/43.

Have you got anything interesting that might catch an eye of mine? Couple of minutes ago I found THESE but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

Please share your thoughts, ideas and any options that might be helpful for me and other wedge heelers :)

  2. @Jkrenzer, you are wrong. 1969 do send combined packages. I'm a good example of that :) I initially bought B5 Pigalle pumps in red for my wife and then couple of days later I was able to win a second auction with another pair. You just need to write a letter, probably to Mario from the company and ask him to wait with the shipment.

I must admit that my wife usually wears size 39, sometimes 38.5 and these shoes made by 1969 are just a little bit too small. Although it's prime leather, I think they will stretch out but I must make my wife wearing them more often :D

I usually buy size 42 but with this company I had to go one size up and it fits :) So it means that Italian shoes and boots require going one size up than you normally do.

Will do some photos in near future and upload them here ;)

  3. Recently we bought almost the same boots for my better half and for me. I bought her Steve Madden Highting

Later on I bought  myself almost identical boots from Urbanog. Of course, the Maddens are better made and they look nicer. However, I didn't want to spend $300 so I had to choose the cheaper option for myself. I don't regret it because we are both satisfied about the products. We both confirm that these shoes are easy to walk.

I hope that later today we will make some pictures together so I'm pretty sure you will eventually see 2 pairs compared together;)

  4. hi demoniaplatforms, thank you for the heads up.

Hi schnubab, thank you. It's good your SO knows. Does she join you in wearing heels? What is her attitude towards it? My parents do not seem to concern themselves too much with me wearing high heels. I think this is because I have kept a low profile. I keep my shoes in my room but I dont hide them. Anyone walking in can see them. They sort of know what is going on but I don't wear high heels openly in the house or dressing up. That could be more they are comfortable with. I have decided to holdoff until I have my own place.

HI thighbootguy, the other day I spent a good hour reading you posts. I admire your style and willingness to be different, for 10 years and going strong.

hi hiheellover23, thank you for the heads-up. My family knows but they don't make much of deal out of it which is good.

Hi Majo, I appreciate your warm words of encouragement. I am working on becoming more confident and develop my own style in heels. I hope to wear it out to the public and show the world what I have.

My little sister often asks me why I buy high heels, "isn't high heels for girls?". I found that question very hard to answer. I explained to her that it is ok for a guy to buy high heels and wear them if he wants. Now she is part of the team. I would pose in high heels. She plays the photographer. She thinks its fun and we laugh a lot when we do it. We just took some more pictures the other day and here they are:

Another great post and a set of pictures. You really have a great taste in choosing the right shoes and boots for you! That's also great you've got such a support in photography ;)

Could you please give us some details about the shoes/boots you were in during this photo session? And, of course, if you have something more, do not hesitate to upload them :)

I'll have some free time with my wife within the next couple of days, so I'm going to ask her to do some heeling together. I hope we'll get some pictures from that activity.

  5. hi crotchhiguy, thank you for the compliment. Those boots are size EU42 or UK8/9 and they are made by Gianrico Mori. It is an italian company. My shoe size is uk7.

If you wear UK 7 or even UK 8 then you are very lucky - you will have plenty of opportunities in future to buy again and again new shoes. These boots are smoking hot and it's good that you wear them so comfortably.

Living in the UK and buying such heels is still much easier than in the Central Europe - people in the Western Europe care less about what other people wear. Here in Poland, it's a bit more tricky because you won't find anything in stores which is beyond EU 40 (UK 7) and the female salesmen won't be that supportive and professional in their behaviour. Everybody will stare at you and trying to stop laughing when you try the shoes on.

But anyway, great shoes and please send more photos with other pairs so that we can send more compliments on your taste ;-)

  6. Yeah, I saw it on some Polish portal couple of days ago. Of course, there were plenty of haters who put their five cents. I, of course, replied that these were jealous girls who cannot walk or dance in high heels as good as these blokes.

  7. I also have an experience that EU 42 = UK 9 in womens size. I think that London is so cosmopolitan city that nobody will care that some dude wants to buy high heel boots. However New Look seems to put a remark on their shoes that UK 9 = EU 43. Just to give some courage to you I will tell two stories and two thoughts: S1) couple of days ago we were buying heels for my wife at New Look in Mokotow Gallery in Warsaw, Poland. I saw another guy who was helping his wife/girlfriend. And when he thought nobody was looking (except me, of course, haha), he started trying on some high heels. I showed it to my wife and she was surprised that he had enough courage doing that. I wasn't that brave that day :) S2) couple of years ago I was buying a pair of heels in UK 7 size for my fiancee (a further wife to be) in Dublin at Office store at Grafton St. I told to a male seller (who looked a bit gay to me, but no offence at all) that these were for my lady. He only said "you never know" :D I just replied that I think I would have to buy UK 9 if they were for me as I have 42/43 in EU sizing. He replied "we have some styles in that size" so I said I would maybe try next time. In the end he said "yeah, no problem. We're here to help you". I was almost shocked but I realised one thing which is below. T1) I think that currently the salesmen are targeted to sale no matter to whom they sell these heels. I think they don't care about the gender as long as they can get the revenues for their company and the wages for their work. T2) London is so great city with so many people's styles and appearances that nobody will take a notice that some guy tries heeled boots. I'm also jealous that I hadn't the opportunity to live in London and I just want to say that you're very lucky to live there. There are plenty of shops that sell normal stuff but there are also some shops with alternative footwear with bigger sizes, especially for men. So good luck and try to buy the highest boots possible :) By the way, I just realised that I will also do it when I go to some mall, gallery or whatever. If someone makes a bad face on me, then I'll reply: "I've got wife, a happy wife and I like trying some heels. So f***ing what's your problem? Start staring 180 degrees around" :) P.S. Please let me know at PM if I make any language mistakes. I haven't spoken or written English for some time and I see that my vocab is getting worse. :(

  8. Hello everyone, Many thanks for your support. As I mentioned before, the problem might be with the size as there are not so many shops which sell UK9/EU42 size. I've also seen the Atmosphere wedges but they were only up to UK8. Primark is not available in Poland and they don't sell over the Internet so the only way is to find them on Ebay. I'm also thinking about Steve Madden Gravityy wedges but they claim to be UK8/EU42. I'm affraid that the size might be too small after all. But I'll try to buy them if I catch the occassion. Best regards!

  9. Dear ladies and gents,

I'm trying to find an internet shop where I could buy "heelless" wegdes like the one from Office.co.uk, called Shocker Wedge.

    Posted Image

Has anyone of you seen such wedges anywhere? The colour is not so important - it can be either black, red, white or beige as in this picture. But the size matters - I need 11 US or 9 UK.

I'd be very grateful if you could provide me some links.

    Thanks and best regards!

  10. Well, this site looks very promising but I haven't found any reviews of the shoes they make and sell. I hope there will be someone who can say something more about these cool shoes and boots:)
