  1. I have been deeply in love more than once in my 60 years and my passion fro shoes has NEVER gone away. I don't know of anybody who has ever been "cured" of this though I know many who have tried.

If I were in this situation where no real commitments had been made (such as marriage) I would strongly consider backing off that relationship. There will be no acceptable (for you) compromise and you will always be hiding that part of you from the relationship (in effect cheating).

Yeah that is a good point. And I'm see what everyone is saying you gotta be who you are no doubt. But my thing is I've allways viewed relationships (serious relationships I should say) as a comprimise. Meaning that sometimes in order to make it work we have to be willing to change, sacrafice, or at least dont' do some things as much because your partner may be really uncomftorable with it. It dosen't mean your not being you. At least I don't think it does. And I'm not saying plats should throw away his shoes. Not saying that I would throw away my shoes in this situation. But I would first try to sit down and have a serious discussion about it. About why you do it. People's views on it, maybe even introduce her to this site to get more prespective, then after that if she is still really uncomfortable with it then comprimise, maybe cut down your collection and not do it as much, or get rid of your collection is she is willing to wear a sexy pair of heels everynowandthen on those special "bedroom" occasions or something. I'm just saying that from my own personal experience nowadays a gf can be a hard thing to come by. And if your really in love then isn't it wroth it? This all of course with a serious relationship. If it was someone I just met and only had gone on a few dates with I would be more likely to just say oh well. But thats just what I think. I don't know...

  2. Asdf174:-)

Both pairs are nice lower chunky heels. All of my heels are between 3" and 4". We can't all wear 5" and up although cudos to those that can.

    Cheers---

    Dawn HH

Thanks. I have a mixed collection (kinda/sorta). I have about 2 or 3 more pairs of lower heels that I haven't taken pictures of yet. Then the rest are all 5" and above.

  3. Oh, my stars and garters! I'm getting vertigo just looking at those things! Pardon me for something ignorant, but how do you manage to stand in them? Inquiring minds wanna know!

:rocker: Well I'm not sure actually. I guess I just wear them a lot. You know what they say practice, practice, practice. I do some exercises that are supposed to help people wear heels for longer periods of time. Mostly stuff that works my calves, lower back and ankles. I think ankle flexibility is a big part of it.

  4. asdf174 very nice shoes id love to see the red ones! any pics?

I just have thise one pic. I'm going to retake it because I don't like it to much. I wasn't standing properly. And the shoes actully fit me better then they look in this pic. (and once again I'm wearing jean shorts in this pic. camera didn't catch them. I don't have many pants that cut of right while I'm standing in heels.)

  5. I've purged once before. I had about 8 pairs and I was feeling really weird about it (not sure if it was ok or not.) and I was feeling weirdnot having a gf and never been on a date. And I attributed part of my problem with being to obssessed with high heels and I thought what kind of girl would even want a guy who was into heels. and I threw away my collection. Now that I've come to terms with everything I think it was a big mistake throwing them all away. Some styles I really liked and can't find anymore. Like does anyone remember those chuncky mules that covered up most of the foot? Those were probaly my fav. all time style I had about three pairs all from payless and No one makes shoes like that anymore and I wish I still had mines. :rocker: Oh well live and learn.

  6. There was a time when you could see many heel wearing men throughout the midwest. What is interesting is the fact that women who are older tend to be the ones who have the worst reactions, yet in their youth, male heels were actually fashionable.

Really? Thats cool. I wish there was a bigger heeling community here.

nope had to work that out myself...

I went to a psych.... once... it created more problems then it solved!...

for a long time I thought I was a retifist (Shoe Fetishist) but I now understand it now a Fixation - more easily controlled... - I control it by going for the more fetishistic styles... 6"-8.5" platforms....and I'm contemplating a pair of 'Devious" Ballet heels next year...

Wow. Ballet heels are the one type of heels that I'm scared off.
