  1. Hey Laurie Yes, I do! That was the easy answer. The harder bit is answering "why". PArtly it's the urge to be different, partly it's the being forbidden aspect, partly it's the way they feel (which is good, obviously!) Partly it's because I always wanted to, and now I can. So I do!

  2. and finally .... there's something about Microsoft getting into condoms .... "just plug and play, but you'll need a new driver for maximum enjoyment" So, apologies; 1. for most being UK specific ads (so completely lost on the rest of the world) 2. for the bad ones 3. for posting so many individually, but I have to get out of these comfy loafers!

  3. The following are all based on the concept of; Imagine if all the major retailers started making their own condoms and keeping the same tagline ... (apologies, some of these are UK only) Sainsburys Condoms : making life taste better Tescos Condoms : every little helps Nike Condoms : Just do it

  4. I'm working in the middle of nowhere at the moment (East Anglia, UK), and there definitely seems to be a lot of heels around. I'd guess that at least 50% of the fashion-conscious dressers are in heels, and that the typical height is 3"-4". Why oh why do so many ladies wear their jeans / trousers so long though, why would you want to hide beautiful shoes!

  5. My wife & I are both into heels. If she's out shopping and sees something good, then she'll usually tell me, and take me shopping asap. We'll come back with a couple of pairs of the style, in different sizes  Likewise, if I'm out and see something that I like, then it's pretty certain that she'll like it too, so we buy two pairs again. My wife's actually gone out and bought shoes in the same style as I already had, just because she liked the look of them on me. We have a lot of fun.

  6. Hey firefox, so not only do I have to drop my penny, I also have to lose weight too! Seriouly, I agree with you. It's the way that you wear any clothes, and how they fit with they way you are, that matters. That's why people stare and comment at 60 year olds (m&f) who wear teenage clothes, or people of more "generous proportions" who squeeze themselves into more restrictive clothing. Ditto men in heels. If you've got the figure & (lack of height) to wear 4" thin heels, then lucky you. If not, maybe go for the thicker styles, and boots always seem more androgynous.

  7. I have found the same. My first heels must have been maybe 3". They certainly felt high at the time, but would be "flat" today. Surely it's the same as any other exercise or buzz that we get from anything else that we do. The more you do it, the more extreme you have to be to get the same initial buzz. Or, in less druggy terms, after you run your first 3min mile (lol), 4mins will seem quite easy.

  8. WEll, I admire your courage. I have lots of pairs of true stilettos, including the classic pumps (who here remembers Faith's Gina/Tina range??), but I wouldn't wear them out & about. Boots with thicker - though still 4" - heels are OK I think. Or is this just another way that we - men - are limiting the range of footwear available to us??

  9. Yes ok Firefox ... it did take me a little while  I need to spend a couple of days away from home in the next couple of weeks, needing a hotel stay (etc) in another part of the country. I'm thinking that this might be another heeled expedition. No-one will know or recognise "me", and it has to be a relatively safe environment. If I can work out how to post piccies here, I'll post a pic of the boots, and some of the other dozens of pairs of heels that lurk in my wardrobe (closet). Hey Ho, Hey Ho, it's off in heels I go.

  10. I've been around for a while, but never really had the balls (!) to go out in heels, in public. Until the weekend. In preparation, I'd visited Faith, and bought a new pair of boots - size 9, 4" heel. Great assistant, she actually walked me around the shop pointing out which other styles were available in a 9. She never asked me who the boots were for, but I don't think she needed to. She knew they were for me (though I didn't try them), and I was pretty sure that she knew. So, out in the car (in boots), called off at a petrol station. Walked into the shop, paid, and walked out again. No comments, though the guy behind the till could clearly see them. Walked back across the forecourt to the car, a couple of other drivers looked, but no staring or comments. Wandered around my old Uni campus for about an hour. In and out of a few shops there buying odds & ends (Red Bull! - late night before), again no comments, although a more elderly couple (dropping off their kids at Uni for new term??) did do a bit of a double take. Wow. What a buzz. Now I'm working out how to do this more often. Without the other people posting here, I wouldn't have dared to it. So, maybe more people will do likewise, and men-in-heels will become a more common sight. Thanks all. H

  11. I have to get rid of "comfy loafer" - it's just not me at all Back to topic ... Best place I ever found for heeling outside was a Uni campus. I thought that would be pretty safe in terms of adverse reaction. And it was, completely! (I'm not a student there, but was once, many years ago). Wandered around for an hour or so ... went into the library ... up & down campus ... loads of people obviously saw the heels (4" blockish) but no comment at all. Great confidence booster

  12. oooo - first post! My wife is completely ok with me wearing heels - in the house. She's more nervous about me "being seen" outside than I am. So, in the interests of harmony, I don't push it too much - just the occasional walk in the dark where we won't be seen. Her nerves are more about the reaction that friends/neighbours would have, and it then affecting the kids. But we also go shoe shopping together quite often (she's probably more into heels than I am - which means completely into them!), and she's quite happy about buying a couple of pairs at the same time - in rather different sizes
