  1. Hmm, interesting. It does get stuffy when I wake up in the mornings, but usually don't give me headaches. I wonder if it could be something I ate from the day before, like something too salty. I don't know. I do know that headaches are caused by restricted blood flow to the head. But that website by bladerunner seem to have some good insight on what may trigger headaches. According to that woman's comments. I want to know more about that forehead reliefe strip though.

  2. Oh, thanks for the correction. Our names so sound much alike. Karen, Sharon, Karen, Sharon. Haha, lol. Ok, as for my feet, my dilemma is slightly different than yours. My shoes wear evenly because I walk fine in high heels. It's just that once they're off, that's when I have trouble walking in the long run. I can usually wear flats for a short time if I don't wear heels all day. But after wearing heels, then it's hard to walk in flats. I suppose I can still, but my feet will be like all scrunched up and tense. I should do some kind of stretching exercises. At least for you and me, both. I do have a large gap under my arches developed over time. That's why in most of my posts on here, you'll hear about me wearing high heels more frequently than any other types of shoes. I don't believe I'm permanently heeled, because I can still wear my ballet flats and sneakers for a short period. Then I have to take them off. It's similar to the feeling of someone whose not use to wearing heels and after awhile, they MUST take them off. Mine is the opposite.

  3. Awww, that is so sweet of you!! Donna will definitely get a big surprise and hopefully a promotion of some sort whether it's a pay raise or something as simple as an employee recognition in her honor. For Payless to write back with such sincerity and kind words shows that they care. By the way, you have really nice legs for a guy.

  4. My boots don't have laces on them, but one have buckles. It's a simple adjustment and doesn't come off since it's part of the boot itself and speeds things up. I strap down the calves portion to help keep my legs warm in the winter. The feet portion stays pretty warm regardless if I use the buckles or not.

  5. I've got a headache this morning and it's not making my mood any brighter, especially here at work. I don't have migraines, so that's a good thing. It just happened this morning, from the time I woke up. Does anyone know of a method of getting rid of or even alleviating headaches without taking aspirin or any kind of related pills? I'm trying to stay away from all that and go with a more natural approach, if there is one.

  6. It's either the strappy shoes or boots. Both take time, but I believe for me, it's the straps that tend to take the most time. At least with boots, you just slide in, kind of readjust the panythose you're wearing, and zip up. With straps, depends on how many you have to adjust, haha.

  7. She is cute but that would offend me as a woman if I ever encountered that at my work place!! I work in a similar fashion as her, but wear even higher heels. I do have form fitted suits that I wear from time to time, sometimes with slacks, sometimes with pencil skirts. It just depends. I mean, what else am I suppose to wear at the office? A t-shirt and baggy pair of jeans? Then they would cite me for not being "professional" in terms of dress code. Either way, we lose it seems like. My slacks are low enough where it covers up my 6" stilettos fairly well. You can't even tell they're 6" unless I pull up on it. I would never work for a company like that. In fact, my job requires us to wear high heels, lol.

  8. Over the years, I've developed a similar problem too. I wasn't always like this but wearing high heels for years and years now has developed an arch issue in which it only feels comfortable when I have my feet up or wearing high heels. Primarily the arches area. I guess it's a good thing for me since my work calls for wearing high heels anyways . I would have to slowly ease into my running shoes when I do wear them. After while, I would have to take them off again and put heels back on.

  9. Especially if your shoes are better and way more expensive than hers, I can imagine. I know if I had a guy that wore high heels and he had all these great shoes that I aboslutely adore, I would get a little jealous.

  10. I guess so. I mean, we wear whatever we want. There are certain dress codes, but we all know to dress appropriately and still look good at the same time. We don't dress super sexy and all that, just super casual. We've never had a problem with dressing what we want though.

  11. As for car smells, I just use those little Christmas Tree fragrances. I was talking about the bottle of perfume I have in there. But it smells a little bit of it. I use the Estee Lauder: Pleasures perfume. Smells so nice.

  12. Yes!! I think majority on here love high heel shoes. Elegant, sexy, and "fun". I am addicted to it and the more I talk about it, the more I want to buy, lol. There are so many different kinds of shoes, but you only have so much space to store them. I hate spending a majority of my income on shoes too which is too bad because of how much I love high heels. I'll wear my friends shoes too, but nothing beats having your own pair.

  13. Wow, you are brave. I don't know if I can do something like that without a good friend at least. Getting a job as got to be the hardest part going anywhere because you need income to earn a living. I would have to make sure that where ever I'm going, I have a job waiting for me. Otherwise, I won't be in good shape. So far, we're halfway through the week. Again, this week seems to be flying. Especially when I come on here to chat. Incredible!!!

  14. Excatly what I was thinking!:)

Haha, right on!! Sometimes, it can get outright creepy too. I've had request in the past where it kind of scared me a little. It's one thing to talk about shoes and nylons, etc., but when they ask you if they can have your used ankle socks and things like that, it can get a little weird.

  15. No, not really. I mean, I keep them in the trunk. I like to keep my car clean on the inside as well as the outside. Good impression often reflects on your personal well being. When they do see it in my trunk, like when we go shopping together, I just tell them I wear it when I go to the gym right after work or something like that. Other than that, I keep a bottle of perfume and lotion in my car (inside that little drawer thing on the passenger side), and some women's personal things so I'm ready when I need to use the restroom.

  16. Haha, yeah. Sometimes I type like I talk. It just comes to me and next thing you know, whoop, it's on the computer. When I was in school, heels were never a fashion statement here. Girls wore ballet flats, loafers, lots of sneakers. I think girls were actually made fun of if they wore high heels, lol. Funny huh? I'm sure these days, they probably wear them for different reasons :).

  17. You get shy when your legs are bare? I get shy exposing my feet, haha. That's why you won't see me wear sandals too much. Open toes, no problem. You know what? I guess that's one of the reasons why I wear sneakers sometimes. Hmmm. The insecurities we have..... In our case, we just keep it covered. You for your legs and me for my feet. Having a lighter skin tone is nice too. If they joke about you being a vampire, maybe dress up as one for Halloween haha. You will look so sexy, even I will want you to bite me. Seriously.

  18. I really feel sorry for those of you that are locked into jobs or careers that you don't like. I can safely say that I've not had one position during my entire working years that I found "unexciting."

First career directly after college was the USAF. Pilot training and 10 years of flying really big aircraft all around the world, allowed me to provide a good home and stable life for my wife and three children.

Second career, after being medically boarded off of flying status and eventually out of the service, working in my Grandfather's import/export business in Baltimore. And after leaving that position, working for myself where I started, ran and eventually sold three successful businesses, not to mention my current thriving engineering consulting business.

Mission preparation, interaction with people that I truly admire, respect and had the good fortune to work with, kept me thanking my "good lord" for giving me a loving family and the opportunity to lead a full and exciting life.

Every "Monday" was/is a challenge. A challenge to pick up the "issues/problems" laid aside at the close of business on Friday afternoon. The prospect of solving situations has always made life full and exciting -- and still does.

So, the excitement and awe of flying directly over Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Fuji, Mt. Everest, the Amazon river and Jungle of Brazil as well as the windswept, cold geography of the arctic circle and the South Pole and the mouth of the Mediterranean Sea, directly between the Rock of Gibraltar and the Moroccan coast at 3 am and looking at Hally's comet with a pair of binoculars as it streaks across the heavens, while on a flight to Tunis.

Looking at the minuter bodies of my twin granddaughters that were born dangerously premature, with profound amazement, wonder and fear that they wouldn't survive their first 24 hours. Genuinely, prayerfully and thankfully celebrating the 3rd birthday of these beautiful, inquisitive, intelligent and extremely active little girls.

Life is what you make of it. If you're content to allow yourself to live your life reacting to what comes your way, that's your choice. But, I have chosen to live my life by making my own opportunities and taking advantage of those that come my way.

If you are not content with your current situation, then do something to improve and change the direction in which you're headed. Retrain, return to school, and reinvigorate your joy for living

Am I happy? You betcha! Because, life, with all of it's trials, tribulations, fears, desires, successes and failures -- when you add it all up -- is good.

Truly inspiring. I got teary eyed when you mentioned your granddaughters. I'm very happy that they are all right and are as happy as they can be knowing they have such a wonderful and supportive grand-daddy in you!!! All my blessings...

  19. Yes, I hear about the key aluminum ingredients in antipersparents too and how it may have that cause. I've always just gotten away with body spray, perfume, and lotions. Luckily, I don't sweat much since i work in an office all day where it's ALWAYS cold!!
