  1. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here has bought Aldo boots before and if so do they run true to size? They only seem to go up to size 11. I have bought Nine West & Via Spiga boots in size 12 and they fit quite comfortably. If Aldo run true to size or slightly larger, I should be able to hopefully squeeze into a pair as their designs are just too wonderful to pass up.

  2. Those are a sweet looking pair of high heeled boots. They look very nice, sexy, and comfortable. I hope you have fun and enjoy wearing them.

Thanks Roni. They are very comfortable indeed. The leather is so soft my feet just slide into them effortlessly and the half inch platform makes them really easy to walk in for extended periods of time.

If anyone is interested, I got them from shoebuy.com where they are on special for about 100 dollars less than anywhere else. They also come in black and go up to size 12 which mine are.

  3. Hi all, I just have to share some pics of my new Via Spiga Chocolate Brown Leather boots. They are excellent quality and the leather is butter soft. They are quickly becoming my favorite pair of boots. Hope you like them. If you want to see more of them, as usual, check out my flickr page. :)

  4. Those are very nice classic boots. I like them !

On picture # 1: I was thinking you were wearing capri pants.

But on picture # 3 I realize you were wearing them with long pants.

Since they are so nice looking, what about showing them a little bit more ?

I think they would look great with capri pants.

Danielp, yes they were long pants, I just pulled them up for pics to show the shaft. I don't own a pair of capri's but I will be taking some more pics of them wearing jeans tucked into them or rolled up.

If you like my boot pics I have a heap more at my flickr site

  5. Here's a link to them with additional pictures and info: http://www.endless.com/Nine-West-Womens-Bizzybee-Boot/dp/B003LY4PR6

The Nine West site did show them up to size 12, though resellers (endless, zappos) only have up to size 11. I looked at 3 different sites, and for heel/platforms heights, saw:

    4" / 1.0"

    4" / 0.5"

    3.5" / 0.5"

Boots4Me, maybe you can take actual measurements (though in size 12, I'd expect them already to be on the high side).

One thing from the picture, it almost looks like a the shaft is attached to a high heel shoe, because the back of the shaft doesn't line up with the back of the shoe, but more like the front of the heel. Boots4Me, is that correct, or perhaps is to more an optical illusion with the picture?

Also perhaps not surprising, I saw prices all over the map:

    endless at $129

    zappos at $103

    macys at $77

    atm (?) at possibly $65

Guess that's typically, and shows a little searching could save you money.

JWhite, you are partly right. They are boots but they are genuine leather from the toe to the ankle but from the ankle up they are stretch synthetic. So I guess you could say that the synthetic shaft is attached to an ankle boot. Mind you it is the most realistic leather look and feel synthetic I've seen.

The seams you see are part of the style. The shaft is in two parts front and back with the front panel wrapping around on top of the rear one. Also there is a leather strap and buckle that wraps around at the ankle for a nice fashionable touch.

Also Nine West themselves only stock their range in Size 12 so I am forced to buy from them being a 12. But as I mentioned, they do have some very good specials on selected boots in their range atm

  6. Hi all, My new Nine West boots arrived a couple of days ago and they are fantastic! They are called Bizzybee with a half inch platform and a 3.5 inch stacked heel (although the heel does appear higher than the reported 3.5 inches which was a bonus!) They are also a really tall boot stretching up to the base of the knee cap and I'm 6ft so they are pretty tall. Nine west have select boots on sale atm (up to 50% off) so I am tempted to buy another pair as they do nearly all their boots up to size 12. I've attached some pics to share with everyone. Hope you like them.

  7. Welcome to the heel driving club ClosetHeels. I have a One hour each way commute and I wear my 5 inch stiletto boots almost every day. I do worry sometimes about what to do if someone runs into me and how quickly I can get the boots off if I have to get out to check any damage.

The other day I got pulled over by the Police for a random breath test whilst I was wearing my boots tucked into jeans. I'm certain the policeman saw my boots as he looked in my window but he said nothing. After the test all he did was thank me and sent me on my way.

If you are interested, I take lots of pics of my boots whilst driving and post them on my flickr page. Just go to flickr and search for my flickr ID "boots4me1".

Now that our new store has opened, and I am on a regular schedule, I am enjoying a perk. I have a 20-25 minute drive to work every morning, so I have been able to wear heels while driving. I have been wanting to wear my heels out more, and reading about all of your experiences has been giving me the courage to do it. So I would like to thank all of you for this, for without you, I would still just be wearing them at home.

  8. I'm a boot lover first and foremost so I voted for Knee Highs as they are the most practical to wear out or when I am driving. I also like them under or tucked into jeans. Thigh Highs of which I have 2 pairs (One pair is crotch high) are good for play at home but I do occasionally wear them when driving but I'm not bold enough just yet to walk outdoors in them.

  9. I thought the red ones were thigh boots.

Nice pics but I would have been more impressed had they been in a more of a public setting! :)

    No, just kidding, they're fine!

Doc I'm one of those baby step types who hopes to go public at some stage but I might start off with a pair of black knee highs under jeans as my red thigh highs just scream "Look at me!!". The idea of going public is highly exciting to me but as usual I fear the potential for ridicule. I do go for walks in parks but only in the evenings when it is quiet. I did get out of my car the other night briefly to put on a jacket in a semi busy street wearing my red thigh highs under rolled up jeans which I guess was one of those baby steps.

  10. Nice boot. I'm looking for a pair of tan boots like them as I only have black and brown at the moment.

hh4evr1, the Tan boots are from Extravaganza. Here is the link.

They are excellent quality and for a bit more width around the calf they can do calf extensions. Their customer service was pretty good too.

    Thanks for the compliments.

Here are some more pics.... :)

  11. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can help me. I have fallen in love with a pair of boots in the pic attached and I have no idea who they are made by and where you can buy them from. The label says "1969 Made in Italy" but google searches on this have not been incredibly successful. If anyone knows more about where I can get these from online and if they come on larger sizes I would love to hear from you.

  12. Hi all, I now have many more pics and clips on my flickr page since I last posted here but Due to some lowlifes using my pics and clips without my permission, I have had to change my page permissions on my Hi-res pics and clips which are now only available to friends. If you want to see them, just send me a flickr mail saying you are a member here and I'll add you as a friend. Boots4me

  13. Aussieheels1, for me its heels only. I like the look and the feel of stiletto heels. Also the sound they make when I walk in them is also an attraction. I have no interest in wedges or strappy sandals. Taking it a step further, I prefer boots over pumps.

  14. Johnie, I'm still in the very early stages of outdoor heeling and only do it by myself in the evenings in quiet parks or driving my car. So as far as going with a friend to a hardware store, as much as I'd love to, I can't see it happening. But who knows, someday I will get the courage to be more "public" in my heel wearing.

  15. Same here Johnie, apart from my wife and like minded friends on the internet, nobody knows that I wear heels and I have no plans to reach out to any of my regular friends anytime soon.

  16. I'll have to answer this in two parts. There would be no limit as to how long I could wear heels. But how long could I walk or stand in them continuously without getting sore is a different matter. I call it my "TBB" or Time Between Breaks. This varies depending on the heels. As I predominantly wear boots, they give me a longer TBB than pumps due to the support they provide. Also the heel height and shape also plays a big factor. The higher and thinner the heel, the shorter my TBB. Eg I have a pair of boots that have a very severe and narrow 5 inch heel and my TBB for these is about 2 hours max but I could wear them all day. I have another pair of 5 inch heel boots with a more classic tapered heel and my TBB for these would be about 5 hours as they provide much better heel support. Once again I have no need to remove them as long as I an not on my feet all day. I'm sure if I went to 6 inch heels, my TBB would only be about 30 minutes lol. A man's gotta know his limitations!!

  17. Lovely clip fan4hh and the heels are very very nice. I wish I had a pair like that. I agree with Roniheels & HappyinHeels that hiding things in a relationship is not the best idea. But then again we don't live in your shoes (pardon the pun). I too was like you early on in my marriage, keeping my heel wearing desires hidden from my wife. It was a little harder for me as I also liked to crossdress in feminine clothes that complimented my boots and heels so there was so much more to hide.(thank god for mini self storage units) Eventually after about five years I came clean with mixed results. In the end we compromised. She agreed to tolerate my fetish for wearing boots and gloves and in return I was to give up the crossdressing attire. I agreed because my family is important to me and on the plus side I still get to keep my boots and gloves. I am having to repress my desire to crossdress and it will always be a part of me, but my boots and gloves are an outlet that does ease the situation somewhat.

  18. When I was younger, I asked former girlfriend of mine if she would start wearing heels and she said we'll see. I was as persistent as she was evasive so it did not turn out well. In the end we split up and I realised that if you decide to go out with a girl who generally does not wear heels and the only pair of heels she owns is from an old bridesmaids outfit, there's a pretty strong chance that she will be a "no go" on the heels front. So to compensate, I just turned to wearing my own heels which in actual fact is probably what I wanted in the first place. After a bit of self reflection, I came to the realisation that I was just trying to live out my heel passion vicariously through her. My wife is not a big heel wearer either, but it doesn't bother me as I still fulfill my heel desires by wearing them myself and it takes the pressure off her and the relationship.
