  2. Part of the Barrett's Shoes group many styles are on both sites sometimes with different prices?

The feedback/recommendation comments can be useful and enlightening.

    Al

The sizing seems to be different though for the shoes that are branded either Barratts or Priceless. Priceless tend to be big for the size, and Barratts small for the size it seems. Quality seems ok for the price - they are both pretty cheap overall.

  3. I like the style :) but aren't those heels a little big? They look a bit roomy at the back. Great heels none the less! :silly:

Yes, annoyingly they are a size too big and I can't walk in them as they slip off the heels! They were very cheap though.

  4. I've posted a few pictures in my first album on the gallery here:

Just because it's Friday night and I'm home alone. I paired the heels with one of my wife's skirts just because it looks better than jeans. Comments on the photos welcome.

Apologies for the poor picture quality, they were taken on my mobile phone which has no flash. I will take some better quality ones next time I get a chance.

  5. I currently only have two pairs - one size 9 the other 10. In that make the 10 is too big, but in the ones I tried on yesterday 9's were generally too small! I'm trying to find somewhere I can go to try on some more and get an idea which size I need in which types. Generally in men's shoes I wear a 10. Yeah might be good to get together with a heel fan sometime and maybe try on some other shoes / take some photos of them.

  6. I couldn't resist it, I had the afternoon off work so took a trip to Oxford Street for a wander. Rather than wear my jeans I wore work clothes - smart suit trousers and a dress shirt. I took heels with me and wasn't sure when to change into them. I got an opportunity on the train so did. My work trousers aren't as long as my jeans, so the bottom inch of heel was pretty clearly visible if you looked. On the underground I got some looks, then a few more from some people on Oxford street. I went into a few shops, and tried on shoes in a couple. I think the next step is to wear similar clothes but with a more obvious heel (these were 3.5" heel ankle boots). A question for others - where do you go to find larger size heels to try on? size 9 seems best is some shops, but I need a 10 in others as the 9's were too small. Where stocks size 10, or runs bigger in the 9s?

  7. I decided to take an early lunch break at work today as I needed to go and sort out some immunisations I needed for a trip coming up. Rather than go straight to the doctors from work I popped home and changed into my long jeans and heels, just because I wanted a proper public outing in them (although with long jeans you can't really see). After sorting out an appointment to discuss the immunisations next week I wanted to go somewhere else. I drove a few miles down the road to a big shopping centre (the Mall in Camberley for anyone interested), and thought I'd brave walking around there for a few minutes. It was scary to start with, will anyone notice, is the heel noise very noticable? I then saw a couple of shoe shops and thought I'd go and have a look around. I went into Faith and had a look in their sale shoes, but they only had small sizes. I really just wanted to try something on, so that was a shame. I then went into Barratts next door. Again a big sale rack of boots, but again I couldn't see anything in my size. I went to find a sales assistant and got her to go and check if there were any in size 9 for me, but there weren't. It was funny how much more confidence I had shopping for heels while wearing heels. Once they see you looking, and then notice you're wearing heels, it gets over that awkwardness of who they are for. A great fun lunchtime, and now I really need that trip out to Oxford street one day to try on lots of heels in the various shops, just for the fun of it. I had no reactions at all. Most people don't seem to notice anything going on around them as many others have commented here. After a while you get to the stage where you want someone to notice, just to see their reaction. You're all right that with every trip out it gets easier, but that also means I want to go out in heels all the time. :)

  8. With high heels and good looking legs I don't think most guys will look above the waist so never realise you're a guy. I know what you mean about wanting the women to see you in heels but not the guys though. You almost make me want to shave my legs and try out a skirt too.

  9. I had a brave day of firsts today. After reading of some of your experiences on here I wanted to go and buy some heels from a shop, rather than on the internet. I went into priceless shoes, after I got the nerve to go in to the women's section. I browsed around for a little while, it wasn't too busy and noone gave me a second look. I wanted something descrete I could wear outside the house. I found these:

    http://www.pricelessshoes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product1_11051_-1_71603_11051

They looked like they'd go well with dark blue jeans. The first brave step was that I tried them on in the store. Ok, so I don't think anyone saw, and they didn't care if they did. They fitted well, so I bought them. I then couldn't wait to try them on properly, so went into the bathroom in M&S to try them on properly and they did look great with my jeans. So I put my regular shoes in the bag instead, and wore them out of M&S, and about a mile through the busy city centre back to the car. It was such a rush. If anyone noticed they didn't make it obvious, though they do make a nice (though not loud) high heel sound. A very fun morning, including my first fully public heeling.

I look forward to when I'm able to post photos on here of me in heels.
